Mail App Showing Wrong Number Of Emails?
Nov 19, 2011My e mail app, the one that comes with the I pad shows that I have two e mails, yet there is no e mails...I use google for e mail.

Mail Icon / Keeps Showing The Number Of Mail
Apr 30, 2010I have an email icon with a number of emails that are supposed to be there but there are no emails in the program. This happened right after I tried to email an invoice to the mail program and copy it into pages. Pages did not like that but I cannot get rid of the number of email messages the program thinks is there.

IPad 2 :: Mail Icon Not Showing Number When Email Received
Nov 6, 2011When I receive an email my iPad 2 does alert me with a beep but does NOT show the number of emails in red in the top right corner of the Mail icon any longer. My iPhone 4 is fine. Both on iOS 5. Have tried soft (keep pressing power button for anew seconds and then move the slider) and hard (power + home button pressed for 10 sec. till Apple logo appears) reboot to no avail.

Jun 2, 2014I've never had this problem before, and I've tried closing the app and restarting the ipad. I see on my computer that I'm getting new mail. The little mail icon on the ipad reflects this., and in my inbox, it says I have unread messages, but they are not showing up.

May 2, 2010Each time I turn on my iPad (3G, 64gig), the Mail Icon has a number "2" next to it. One would assume that there are two emails on the server waiting for me. However, when I click on Mail and open the app, there are no emails.

Jun 6, 2010I got Star Walk last night and was dismayed by the poor performance it exhibited in augmented reality mode: the sky map jumped around a LOT.Thinking it was a Star Walk problem, I set off to see if the Star Walk devs were aware of it or had any fixes. That was when I decided to see if I could find a compass app, just as an additional data point so I could say for sure it was the app. I found MagnetMeter HD (http://www.plaincode.com/magnetmeter/) for the iPad, a free app, and loaded it. Imagine my surprise when it showed the same kind of problem! Sometimes it points east, indicating north; other times it always points north; other times, it jumps around randomly.

May 19, 2010I have a 3G iPad. When I go into Maps, I get a blue dot that pulses. I'm assuming thats my iPad. But it's in the wrong place. Any ideas?

Oct 21, 2011Received an iMessage from a friend and her number s showing instead of her name. I went under contacts in my iPhone 4 s and her number comes up under "all contacts" and not under "all iCloud" I don't understand why some of my contacts have synced while others have not.

Jun 18, 2010For some reason my ipad won't send emails. It constantly tells me that the senders address is wrong. I have checked and checked and double checked those settings and all are correct. They are the same as on my iphone and home computer. There is no problem receiving email, just sending.
