Idk if its just me, but when i lie in bed, using my iphone i prefer the portrait mode just because its much easier to hold with one hand. (mind you im lying down in my side) So as im on facebook it changes to landscape because im on my side and what not, and i find it really annoying. Wouldnt it be nice if the iphone had settings for this to activate or deactivate when it switched mode. Now i bring this idea to the iPad. I believe i will have the same problems. Is it just me that has this problem or do any of you guys deal with this situation sometimes?
IPad Mini :: Album Art Moving To Other Albums And Vice Versa?
Oct 2, 2014
Purchased an ipad mini retina 64k. Been very pleased with everything until putting all my music on.
Constant issues with album art moving to other albums and vice versa. This happened when manually transferring music from itunes PC. So I deleted all songs individually and stopped auto sync. Downloaded itunes only stuff from cloud then the same happened with icloud sync. This about the fourth time I have done all this.
I will never be syncing with PC or icloud ever again, hopefully when I have re-downloaded all this music the issue will never recur. I have never had issues like this with all my ipods or iphone so, to put it mildly, this has been a very disappointing first week with this very expensive piece of kit.
Hopefully ios8 will have addressed these issues, I may download this next week.
Are there any cases like the Macally Bookstand that can be used a a stand in oth landscape and portrait? I know the Macally cn be used in portrait mode, however, from the pictures I have seen it stands with no angle whatsoever which, I think, makes reading (at the breakfast table for example) a little hard .
I found it interesting yesterday when my wife and I were sitting next to each other with our iPads. I use mine almost entirely in landscape mode while she is almost always using hers in portrait mode. This made me wonder how do each of you use yours primarily. I understand certain apps may force you to be in one mode or another. But for general surfing, e-mail, etc., which way do you hold it?
I have found that I much prefer to use my iPad in landscape mode for a coupe of reasons. First, the keyboard seems a little bit easier to type on, and second, the Apple case I have when opened sets up nicely lifting the back an inch or so off my coffee table
Please help. I downloaded the 4.2 update with no difficulty but immediately after, the physical slider switch on the top right edge of my iPad (above the volume rocker switch) no longer operates to lock the screen in the portrait or landscape mode. It now operates to mute the volume. How do I lock out the rotation of the screen.
I use my iPhone almost exclusively in portrait mode, and expected to do the same on the iPad, but now that I've actually got it, I find landscape mode much more satisfying to use.
Which is the most natural way of holding the iPad for you? Of course it can vary depending on what you are doing, but which way feels right overall? I enjoy holding in Landscape so much for the first couple days I would try to hit an imaginy home button where it would be if it was placed for landscape.
After attempting to watch a video, the iPad stayed stuck in landscape mode. None of the following helped: turning on & off, attempting to sync, shaking it around, using different apps. I finally did a Reset All Settings and it put the device back in portrait mode but now stuck there. Since all else has failed, I am about to do a Restore. information: iPhone OS 3.1.3 ipad
the iPad has a nasty habit of sometimes switching modes. I would like to lock the mode until I unlock it. I have looked through Settings and did not find a "lock" key. Information: Macbook Pro Mac OS X (10.4.9)
so i'm an apple user and an industrial designer and have been playing around with 3D printing. So i came up w/ a simple design to at least protect the corners and back of my ipad. I've received the 1st print of my initial design and have been using it for 2 weeks now. http://jbaredesign.squarespace.com/d...-received.html i've tweaked a couple issues and have been making a list of features I'd like to see in it that i can add down the road.such as:-kick stand- maybe 2 angles- i see the need for a low angle for typing (landscape only) and a higher angle for viewing - (landscape & portrait both if possible)-magnets, i could see the use of integrating magnets on the four corners of the back so i can throw this up on the fridge maybe when i'm cooking, or at work it should stick to the metal cubical wal anybody else like this magnet idea?
I was typing something out for class during my free hour, and when I turned the iPad from landscape to portrait so I could use Underline (currently there is no toolbar showing up in landscape) it magically deleted half of what I had written. It wasn't TOO much stuff but it wasted like 8 minutes easily, and i was in a time crunch....
I remember when I just loaded up the app I had shaken my iPad (i guess?) because an Undo button popped up from moving it. The iPad brushed against my chest during the procedure, and maybe clicked the Undo button??
edit: Oh yeah, there is an Undo, but no Redo, so be careful when you press it.
