I purchased the Ipad yesterday and it was going great until I went to add the Kobo app to download my already purchased books. The app itself downloads fine, I sign into my Kobo account and...none of my books show up.
Am I doing something wrong? I have search all over google for someone having the same problem and I cannot seam to find a solution. I have tried converting my books to epub and loading them into ibook, they show up there but they cannot open due to the type of format.
Very new user trying to add books to my kobo app. I used iTunes to add 200+ books to iBooks. Not sure if they are drm free or not as most are epubs from file sharing sites. But I'm having trouble finding any information as to add books in kobo, I've used feed books to add one but do I need a file viewer to access my books on iPad then 'open with kobo'.? What apps access VAR folder? I'm hoping I can locate my ebooks on there and transfer them from folders (downloads to kobo/kobo to iBooks etc).
Whenever I sync books from my MacBook pro to either my iPad or iPhone 4 the books do not show up in iBooks and iTunes says that they are there. I have tried everything and the only thing that seems to work is installing a new book from the book store, but I currently don't have wifi so I can't on my wifi only iPad.

I have a problem with adding epub books to my iPad. Goodreader acts as the default ebook reader and iBooks doesn't list the book in its library. Goodreader can't open the books no matter which reading format I choose.I've tried to get info from both apps, but haven't found anything that help solve the problem.

Unable To Sort Books Alphabetically After Sync - Books Rearranges Randomly

I have about 25 books and PDF's in my iTunes library which are sorted alphabetically in iTunes. However when I sync these books to iBooks on my iPad they appear in random alphabetical order on the iBooks bookshelf. Is there any way of getting iTunes to sync the books/pdf's in alphabetical order when syncing?

Unable To Remove Books / All Audio Books Are Synced

All of my Audible and Audio books are synced to my iPad, taking up 16gb of space, but I cannot get them off the device. At first, I did not have ANY music synced - that didn't work, then I tried checking only specific playlists, and that didn't work. I don't want all this space taken up by books I have read already!
Anyone here waiting to see what kind of censoring approach Apple takes towards books and comic books?Are they going to pull books like Catcher in the Rye or Lolita?I haven't heard of music and movies being censored, but all their App censorship has me worriedI did a google search to see how manga publishers felt about the iPad and most of them were excited about the technology but one in particular said that they were excited but worried about censorship because Apple had recently pulled one of their Manga books from the App store for being too violent.
If you followed the news about the iPad, then you know about the iBooks app and store. You may also know that by supporting the EPUB format for books, Apple has given all iBooks users access to not only the tens of thousands of commercial ebooks sold with Fairplay DRM, but also to any DRM-free ebook in the EPUB format. We have already heard about the 30,000+ Gutenberg books that will be included within the iBookstore. What I haven't seen mentioned all that much is the over a million public domain books Google has available in EPUB (link).
Does anyone know what sizes are the books to download generally? I realize the bigger the book the more space they take but what are the ranges? 4mb? 4 gb?
Is there a way to make a book or pdf that is available on my ipad / iphone also available to be read on my mac? It seems quite trivial since you are syncing the ipad and iphone with your mac but of course it doesn't appear that you can.
I have just bought the iPad here in Ireland. When I go to the iBook store there are only free books? When can I purchase books, as this is one of the reasons I purchased the ipad.
When will the selection of books on iBooks get better? There are many titles that just are not available, but are if I choose to use another reader. I am not talking about obscure books. I enjoy reading from the iBook application, but it doesn't matter if the books are not available.
I just got my iPad and cannot get books I downloaded from Gutenberg to Kindle for Mac to be transferred to Kindle for iPad.All the Kindle books I purchased appear in my iPad when I synch but not the Gutenberg ones.
