Is anyone else having this issue? When I open my Facebook app on my iPad it takes me to Facebook for a couple seconds. Then it automatically redirects to a YouTube music video in safari. It's not always the same video. Does anyone have a solution for this? It's not happening on me iPhone using the same app, just the iPad.
This morning as I started reading some of my regularly visited sites, I discovered that I was being redirected to a broken myspace link once the page had loaded. It is doing this for a number of sites including:engadget, gizmodo, downloadsquad, etc Is anyone else experiencing this behavior? It is happening with both Safari & Atomic Browser. The redirect occurs once the page has completely loaded, so on some of the sites it can take up to 30 seconds for it to happen. It is driving me batty!!!
I have an iPad2 and for the last few days I have noticed when I go to a website in safari I keep getting redirected to random ad sites. I tried clearing cache, history, cookies and that didn't do anything. I have restarted in every way possible, I have restored the iPad with a backup and also without but this problem won't go away! This occurs on most websites with not much pattern. I have noticed though that certain websites anyways redirect to the same other websites...
When I open Safari and browse websites with my iPad 2, the screen shows anything other than the message saying ‘redirecting’. It does not allow me to launch any type of websites. How do I fix up this issue?
This is very annoying. I have had iPad for a few days but first noticed this just now. While perusing used cars on cars.com I found that clicking on a link to a detail listing would first take me to that page, but then almost immediately redirect to an adobe flash error page. Feels like a sleazy trick by adobe to annoy iPad users. Example link below, this is just a listing for a used Porsche in northern Va: 1975 Porsche 911 S - $10,350 (obo)
Yahoo News pages linked to Yahoo stories are no longer displaying correctly. The top of the screen looks like the page did not render correctly. I can scroll down the page and get text though. Has anyone else noticed the change?
I just got an ipad. I'm not well versed in Mac because it's my only Mac product. I'll get right to the point...1. Can I set a homepage on Safari?2. How do I actually CLOSE a program? By clicking the Home button you exit but doesn't the program or app still stay active somewhere in the background, thereby draining battery? Or does it not work like that?3. Any way to get the iPad to STOP asking me for my itunes password? Do you really have to type it in every time?
I'M having an issue since my upgrade a while back. Whenever I'm bouncing around on websites, on safari..it shuts down and goes to my home page. I get back to the page with no problem, however it is a pain in the butt.
I like the new Google Chrome browser but I don't seem to be able to figure out how to set the home page.
Is it designed to not use a home page? I want it to open to Google.com just like every other browser I use.The Recently Close page can be used kind of like Speed Dial but once it gets filled up I think it might get to be a pain trying to find what you are looking for.
The iPad tagline on the homepage and in the marketing appears to have changed from:"Our most advanced technology in a magical and revolutionary device at an unbelievable price.to:"A magical and revolutionary product at an unbelievable price."Much improved over the previous mouthful.
After initial disgust, the new facebook layout (normal site) is beginning to grow on me, as I imagine how good it's going to look on an iPad.Anyone else think it's ideally suited to browsing on iPad (in portrait mode)?
Is there a way to make a certain website your home page so that when you log onto safari/internet it will appear? As of right now when I click on the Safari icon to log onto the internet, it just shows a blank white screen with the search box up top.
My four year old daughter uses the iPad as #1: a communication tool, as she is nonverbal and #2: a Educational tool. I have set up the home screen to only show her communication app and a folder of Educational games then I put two folders at the bottom for Entertainment apps and videos then a Lifestyle folder with pretty much everything else inside. I need to know how or if I can disable certain folders at certain times so that when she takes it to school it's not an option to use anything but her communication app.
I have a bleeder and want to give the exchange a try but I bought it at best buy who are currently out of stock. Do I need to call to make an appointment or do I just show up. Will they service me even though my 2 weeks isn't up at best buy? How does the data plan I got transfer?
