I purchase the iPad so i can surf the net and do trading shares over the net using iPad on the move and have the most live updated data. But seem like most of the on line trading cannot load their Java applet or JVM. Can apple upgrade the OS 3.2 to OS 4.0 enable the iPad Safari with Java Applet and JVM so i can trade using my iPad
The versions of Java in Safari are different on the mac computers running Safari than the iPad. Any idea how to get a different version for the iPad since on the MACs it is done with Software update and you can not download versions for a MAC on the JAVA site?
Access Flash Sites With Cloud Browse from App Advice by Kiet Chieng While all of the love in the third party browser world has been going to Opera's Mini browser, another free browser in the app store is helping to solve a dilemma plaguing all of us using an iDevice. Developer AlwaysOn Technologies has managed to do the unthinkable: bring Flash to the browsing experience on the iPhone OS with Cloud Browse. Cloud Browse is a clever app that employs the use of remotely streaming a desktop browser to your device. This remote computer is fully flash and java enabled allowing you the access and opportunity to view the web like you would on your desktop computer. You have full multitouch pinch capabilities to zoom in and out of sites as well as flick scrolling as you would with mobile Safari. The only difference is you now have that coveted access to flash enabled sites to view animation and play games.
Was wondering how to update the java here. Wanted to see a few web pages and then otherwise to play games and they all say I need to update my java. How do I do this? have tried with the apple downloads for safari but they will not download saying "Safari will not download"
I had hoped this issue would be resolved from iPhone to iPad as it means I cannot use Facebook and other forums/sites without having to constantly turn js on and off in safari, which is completely impractical in my line of work (updating forums and social networks)
I hoped the iPhone fb app might solve part of the problem in the short term but when typing it flickers and rerenders screen size or zooms in and out so badly it's impossible to follow and makes me feel quite queezy. Fb in safari requires js on.
to all the iPad plisting geniuses of sorts, is there a way to hack safari to enable browser upload? by doing something shimery to the plist or something? sorry for the lack of technical terms, a bit clueless on this end.
I am trying to enable the AutoFill feature on my iPad so that I don't need to provide the same information again while logging in to Facebook or Gmail etc. But unfortunately I failed to do so. How can I enable Safari's AutoFill feature
As a CS student I would love to see some IDE's come out in App form for use on the iPad. Most of my work is done in Java, so an Eclipse App would be perfect for me to look over my code, do some testing or slight alterations when I get bored in my non-CS classes. Heck, I would even settle for Dr. Java.
Im sure a lot of programmers would be interested in having various IDE options to do some light work on their iPad while out and about.
I have an iPhone and I love it. I think the ipad looks really interesting. I want to get one. I was wondering what everyone thinks about it. Do you pay for Internet? I know the iPhone doesn't play java videos or you can't download anything on it, can you do this on the ipad?
Can I to run JDK EE or similar compiler java (with or without any IDE, eclipse, for example) in iPad 2? I saw that you can run windows or linux remotely accessing a computer. So I could use Java on them. But would I run a Win or Linux or JDK (only) on iPad 2, without the need to access a computer?
