View 5 RepliesI just got my iPad and am very new to using. I obviously didn't do something right as I am not getting my email from yahoo to show up. I also don't know what my IP info is or Host or incoming/outgoing information. Could that be it? If so, how do I find the answers & reregister correctly. I have WiFi connection. I am sending this from my laptop.
Info:
iPad (3rd generation) Wi-Fi, 32GB
Anyone purchase this? Any lag or issues? The one reviewer stated it lags bad.
View 2 RepliesI downloaded several apps from cydia. some appear as icons on an ipad screen. others say that there are installed but nowhere to be found. the cydia information says run from the command line. where is the command line on the ipad. or do you have to run from a mac?
View 4 RepliesMy iPad started to auto-command itself. First some extra letters when writing a note, then scrolling the page. Now closing software and opening another by it's own. Now the latest thing is that if I open my notepad, it starts erasing the text and typing something else on it This is my first mac, and I've always thought that no anti-virus is necessary. My iPad is NOT jail-broken, and I've downloaded apps only from Apple apps store.
View 4 RepliesI got a new ipad3 just 2 weeks ago. But it does not respond to any command at all, not even charging.
View 5 RepliesInstead of the double home button press, is it possible to set a single keyboard key? Or a key combo to get to spotlight?
View 1 Repliesthe command jumps randomly from one application to another automatically, the typing keys work randomly on its own...no idea whether it is problem in hardware or sofware... consulted the experts at Apple store but nothing could be established..

iPad 2, iOS 5.0.1
my ipad is not responding to any command even to shut down it is displaying the following massage: ipad not backed up this ipad hasn't been backed up.backups happen when this ipad is connected to a wi-fi.

View 6 RepliesI'm a Windows P/C user, that about three months ago purchased an iPad. I love it and have found very few things that it won't do. It has opened up so many more opportunities to me. But I have one question. When you use the copy command in Windows the info can take up memory. If the copy is large a lot of memory can be used. Of course you can clear this memory buffer so that performance does not lag. What about the iPad? I do not do a lot of copy & paste but if I copied a large picture or something else does it also take memory and if so how, short of rebooting, do you get that memory back? My iPad seems to run as good as the day I bought it but I was wondering how Mac products handle this copied stuff.
View 1 RepliesDoes anyone know of a search or find command on google or web pages with the IPad? Looking for something like the control F on a PC
View 7 RepliesI love my iPad. I really enjoy my Apple Wireless keyboard with it.Having to touch the screen and flip flop between wireless keyboard, not so happy.Anyone miss VIM or Emacs? Seems like a keyboard only text editor would be great on the iPad and would make it to copy paste, edit and all that other VIM (or Emacs) goodness. I'm a VIM user so my Emac skills are rusty so I'm aware of some of the Emac shortcuts available but I'd like a full fledged keyboard-based text editor.
View 5 RepliesOn my iMac I can enlarge screen images (for my failing eyesight) by depress the command (apple) key, the option key and "+" simultaneously. This does not work on my iPad. Is there an alternate scheme for iPad
View 3 Repliesi know this is a issue alot of people have with their iphones me included but i never have had it happen on my ipad. Ever since i upgraded to 4.2 i see it on my ipad ever once in a while. anyone else?
View 6 RepliesI have a really unusual problem, in that I own both an iPhone 4 and an iPad Air, both running the latest iOS software (7.1.1), and safari is completely unusable on both devices. When opened, it fails to load any data or respond to any command, then crashes after about a minute of no activity. It has never worked on either device. I assumed it was a problem with my ageing iPhone 4, which I got as a replacement around a year ago, but when I got my brand new iPad Air in December 2013 it had exactly the same problem. I'm very confused - is it something to do with my iCloud account?
View 3 RepliesThis fascinates me, although I would never do it for fear of hurting my poor iPad.. I was wondering if one could tell by looking at an iPad if it was JB or not? Does it look different when turned on?how long does it take to JB? Minutes? Can one undo a JB?The main reason to JB is to have access to illegal apps and to multi-task?
View 3 RepliesHas anyone noticed that the Undo operation on iPad is same as iPhone, which means you have to shake the device to undo? Shaking an iPhone is fine but very awkward for iPad give the size of the device. Needless to say, Shake to Undo is not intuitive for the first time user, even on iPhone. Very bizarre UI from Apple.

Not that there isn't a reason for it not too. But just tested it and it works
View 10 RepliesI was playing around with the settings and clicked rotation lock. Now I can't undo it. I clicked "mute" and the rotation lock was unchecked but there's still the little icon in the top corner and it won't rotate.
