Just brought a new iPad and done the usual setup as I have had iPhones for the last 4 years and I am constantly getting wifi issues such as it not accepting passwords to my home wifi which is setup fine as I have my iPhone 4 connected to it and it works flawlessly now this iPad is a total different case.

I have an iPad 2 32g Wifi. I've had it for 2 weeks and love it. I've been experiencing small, "quirks" ie screen not scrolling immediately, crashes, etc. A simple restart had been fixing those. However today my Wifi stopped working. I keep getting a message that says, "Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the internet." I cannot check my email as well. I have full bars and even notice that the bars will "go down" if I'm in an area that doesn't get good reception. I get the same message at my local Starbucks as well as my home network. I have tried, restarting, resetting the network, "resetting all", as well as a "complete restore", and I still get the same message.
View 3 RepliesI have a 16gb iPad 2 with wifi which is not connecting to my wifi. My other two computers connect fine and my iPad will connect fine to my nieces network.
My iPad will find the wifi and when I try to connect it will load for long periods of time without connecting. The bars appear in the top left hand corner but if I try to access the Internet it fails. I am running the latest software on my iPad and I have a DGN1000 Netgear router. Could it be a problem with the iPad or is my iPad blocked in the routers settings maybe?

I have trouble connecting my Ipad 2 to my belkin router. It does read the networks, it shows up on my list but when trying to connect it doesnt, it keeps thinking but it doesnt connect. I have no problem connecting on other locations and I also have other 2 Ipads at home that connects perfectly.

I recently updated to iOS 5.0.1 OTA. Since then, WiFi on my iPad doesn't even connect properly. It shows the signal bars on the Status Bar (all three bars full) but I can't access the internet at all. When I check the IP address, it shows random numbers, but I know that a normal working IP address is usually 192.168.1.x.
I've already tried a reboot, two restores. The next thing I did was unplug my router and modem, then replug them, but that isn't helping either. I have no idea what to do next. Can someone help me before I pay a couple bucks for Comcast to come over and "fix" it?

I have the new iPad (3) and had it set up fine to connect through WiFi. Recently I activated the Verizon LTE account and used it while on a trip. Since then, my iPad will not connect to Wifi any longer. I have tried the following:
-Forgotten the network and tried to log in again fresh.Will connect to my airport extreme but will not connect to internet (Airport utility shows green lights everywhere except for internet, I show a full signal but the wheel just keeps spinning)

My IPad had terrible connection in my bedroom but I had good connection with two Iphone 4s and my Samsung Laptop R series laptop. I started doing research to extend my WiFi range. So I purchased a Netgear WN300RP WiFi Range Extender and had full range for all of my devices in my bedroom. After a day, I lost my connection to my ipad 2. I reset the extender with my router D Link Dir655 and it worked again for less than a day. It shows connected but the safari browser says "Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the internet". So I can't keep trying to communicate my router to the extender just to get internet connection for a day or so.

One day I sat at a cafe with free unprotected Wifi. I looked at my iPhone synced my mail - and afterwards wanted to connect my iPad so I could search the internet.
And this is the beginning of my problems - my iPad 2 (Wifi edition) couldn't connect to the internet like my iPhone did. I looked up the settings at my iPad and discovered that it hadn't been granted a Router or DNS ip-adress (DHCP), like my iPhone (3gs) had? (My iPad had been granted an IP-adress + Subnetmask)
My iPad 2 won't connect to wifi. When i go to choose a network, I select the blue arrow next to the network I want to join, which is my home network, and it's all empty. There is nothing under where it says DHCP or BOOTP.
My iPhone is connected to this network so I know it's not my wifi.

My ipad is seeing my wifi router but it won't connect. It was fine yesterday, until after i set up my new Apple Tv. The Apple tv is connecting fine, but now my ipad will not connect. It happens whether i have the Apple tv in use or not. I have the latest ipad.(Same thing is happening with my Kindle Fire now.)

IPad 3 or 'new IPad 'with cellular data. I have a problem with the WiFi not working more than a couple of times. When I check settings the connection is still showing as strong. To regain access to the Internet, I have to turn the WiFi off and then back on. Then it will work a time or two and stop again. I don't want to have to use my data plan when I am sitting right beside the router.
The WiFi signal is good, I have two laptops in the house that have no problem running on it with no interruptions.

I have the 16G Wi-fi Ipad and have been having trouble since I got it (about 4 weeks ago) with its stability on the internet. Sometimes full bar and then it drops to 1 or none. It kicks me off. I went to Apple store two times and they say they are working on the problem. (probably a software problem) that they will have an update for it. Well my question is when? How long must we wait. It is very frustrating like this. I love the Ipad but am very disappointed with the connection. I have an old IPod that gets on the internet every time full strength. No problems.

Hi, i have iPad 2. I just Plugged my iPad to my Windows OS with the updated latest iTunes. I just Tapped the Check box of “Sync iPad over WiFi” in the Summary Tab of iTunes. Now i just Plugged out my iPad from iTunes which was connected via USB. I just checked my iPad for Sync over WiFi but the Button to Tap on “iTunes WiFI Sync” is Grey and not highlighted. So i cant Sync my iPad to iTunes via WiFi Connections. Kindly check out & do the needful steps asap.
View 1 RepliesNo issues connecting iPhone to wi-fi at home. The big iMac desktop hums along nicely too. But, seems each time I pick up my iPad to do some prep work for my little radio show. Won't connect to the wifi. But, if I tediously (each time I want to use iPad) go to Settings, WiFi, turn it OFF, wait a sec, back On, then back to Safari.... it works.

I just got an ipad2, and am able to connect to wifi at home. However, when away from home, and in an area with wifi, it asks which network I want to join, and offers one or more that I know nothing about, and then asks for a password (which I don't have). How do you connect to wifi out in the 'world'?
View 3 RepliesMy ipad 2 and iphone 4, keep needing to be manully connected to home wifi network, need to go into settings tap on wifi and then select network to join then wait each time.I have tried forgetting network then adding, re-booting ipad etc. Reset router, i am pretty sure its only been happening since the last os update 5.01 i think.
