iPad has a certain problem, the screen keeps getting dark on the right side! After I restart the iPad the screen goes back to normal but after a while it get's dark again! It's kinda annoying having to restart it every time?
Usually I'm not one to nitpick but on my new iPad it is blatantly clear that, when in portrait mode, the left side of the display has a major yellow tint and is a darker shade than the right side. It's not a big deal in many apps but it's very noticeable against white backgrounds (web pages, emails, etc.). Is this something worth getting replaced or just sticking it out with?
The screen cracked on my brand new out of the box USA iPad 2, and I did not do any physical damage abuse or anything to it. It must have had a crack prior to me openning it and then within a couple of days, the crack has spread to reach from side of one corner to the other side! Note: there is only ONE crack
I took it directly to the Apple repair center (the one they designate in HK) and they said they would need to send it to Apple for review.
And surprisingly three days later, Apple comes back and says there is multiple cracks and will not replace my iPad 2. THE FUNNY thing is, there are stories of people on this forum that has had great Apple service, who could walk into an Apple Shop and had there cracked screen iPad replaced, but this is not the case here.
I am stuck with an iPad 2 that is cracked, not even BY ME, and may now be even further cracked by the repair shop, and yet I suffered horrible Apple Service and still declined a replacement.
I am looking for an app that will allow me to open two separate apps side by side/split screen and allow me to operate either app. I have found apps that allow split browsers but none that allow opening two different apps on one screen.
All of a sudden my Safari screen at the top where the favorites etc are at has turned a dark Charcoal. I did nothing and have had iPads for years so not a newbe. I did a reset of everything saving data etc option. Still no difference.
Today I freaked out over a line of dead pixels (with a dark black pixel at the center and then it fades away to the top and bottom of the screen) on my iPad 2 screen. I tried some YouTube videos with colored backgrounds but I read it is not effective for dead pixels (black). Also, I noticed that the line is aligned with one of folding lines of the smart cover so I thought it was the reason.
I just bought a new ipad last week and for some reason the screen has completely gone dark within the past couple of days. I can barely make out anything on the screen. I have tried restarting it but with no luck. I have also managed to get to the settings page a few times to try to change the brightness and even reset all of the settings, but nothing has changed - it is still very dark and practically impossible to see anything.
IPad is less than a month old. I was reading screen and it went black with no warning. It was fully charged and also would not respond to attaching to computer. The on / off button does not respond either. Any thoughts beyond "its broken"?
However, I noticed while the screen looks great and is very uniform, I can see a very small area on a completely white (or otherwise very bright) background that's just a bit darker. It's smaller than a dime, and it almost looks like a finger smudge, except it won't clean off.Part of me wants a perfect screen, and part of me thinks this is too small of an issue to worry about. Colors and such display on this part - it's just a shade or two darker.
My husband has an iPad 1, which I bought back in January. Tonight, I noticed that the right side of the screen has dimmed in this sort of blotchy looking mess, and I am not sure why, or what exactly it would be called. It has not had anything spilled on it, been dropped, etc., and has been in a case since the day I bought it (a case + a rubber grip on the back).
I am including photos I tried to take of the blotchy parts, but it was difficult to photograph.
