Thursday afternoon, I'll be flying to Florida on Continental. However, I need to register for classes online during the same time. Is there any way I can get on the internet during my flight using my iPad?
Taking a trip in a few weeks and I was looking foward to using my new Ipad Wifi on the flight. Has anyone had an issues with airlines telling them to put the pad away? I only want to use it for movies & games.
Also, why dont the non 3G ipads have airplane mode? Is it as simlpe as shutting off the Wifi on the non 3G pads?
I'm interested in buying an iPad, as I will be traveling in the near future. Could somebody please advise me on the best way to charge my iPad while on the plane (for those long international trips)?
I would especially appreciate advise from those whom know that their advise is actually feasible, too. I've read that an iPod or whatnot could be charged via the plane's audio plugin on the seat, but would the iPad be too power hungry for this to work?
I'm new to Apple. I'm taking the ipad on flight, that's why I got it. Page 116 of the pdf manual says there's an "airplane mode" under settings. page 10 shows the cute little plane, just like a phone. I got fingerprints all over and can't find it.
need some new headphones and i hope someone here can help me to find some good headphones that i can use home, but it would be also great if the headphones would work great in an airplane while watching an movie! Noise reduction. Anyone knows any headphones that has good Noise reduction?
More of a curiosity but what is exactly is different in the functioning of the iPad when you turn on airplane mode?I imagine it turns off WiFi and 3G but considering there are *already* buttons to turn off those things, it seems like a waste to create another button that does the same thing. So I am presuming that it must do more than just that.Anyone know?
There could be a possibility that I may move in the future to an area that doesn't get good 3G coverage. I understand that the airplane mode may boost the signal. I'm jut concerned that using said airplane mode may use a lot of mb's.
Using Ipad 4.2 (Email sync with Exchange Activesync)on Airplane. I can compose emails and the will save in the "outbox" and send when reconnected, but have a question about existing email. Can I manage my mailbox in airplane mode, Delete, move etc messages?
