Thursday afternoon, I'll be flying to Florida on Continental. However, I need to register for classes online during the same time. Is there any way I can get on the internet during my flight using my iPad?
Taking a trip in a few weeks and I was looking foward to using my new Ipad Wifi on the flight. Has anyone had an issues with airlines telling them to put the pad away? I only want to use it for movies & games.
Also, why dont the non 3G ipads have airplane mode? Is it as simlpe as shutting off the Wifi on the non 3G pads?
I'm interested in buying an iPad, as I will be traveling in the near future. Could somebody please advise me on the best way to charge my iPad while on the plane (for those long international trips)?
I would especially appreciate advise from those whom know that their advise is actually feasible, too. I've read that an iPod or whatnot could be charged via the plane's audio plugin on the seat, but would the iPad be too power hungry for this to work?
I'm new to Apple. I'm taking the ipad on flight, that's why I got it. Page 116 of the pdf manual says there's an "airplane mode" under settings. page 10 shows the cute little plane, just like a phone. I got fingerprints all over and can't find it.
need some new headphones and i hope someone here can help me to find some good headphones that i can use home, but it would be also great if the headphones would work great in an airplane while watching an movie! Noise reduction. Anyone knows any headphones that has good Noise reduction?
More of a curiosity but what is exactly is different in the functioning of the iPad when you turn on airplane mode?I imagine it turns off WiFi and 3G but considering there are *already* buttons to turn off those things, it seems like a waste to create another button that does the same thing. So I am presuming that it must do more than just that.Anyone know?
There could be a possibility that I may move in the future to an area that doesn't get good 3G coverage. I understand that the airplane mode may boost the signal. I'm jut concerned that using said airplane mode may use a lot of mb's.
Using Ipad 4.2 (Email sync with Exchange Activesync)on Airplane. I can compose emails and the will save in the "outbox" and send when reconnected, but have a question about existing email. Can I manage my mailbox in airplane mode, Delete, move etc messages?
I usually don't switch off ipad [just put it in hibernated mode so that it remembers context].But it loses charge overnight. Should I set to airplane mode during the night? Is there an app which will set the power conservation mode?
What's the best way to watch a movie on my IPad while on an airplane....saw that you could not watch a movie when airplane mode is OFF?Then how do you view the movie you have loaded for a 24 hr rental??
I rented three iTunes movies on my computer, then transferred them to my iPad to watch on an airplane ride. Once in flight, with iPad in airplane mode, I keep getting a message telling me that the movies cannot be played. What am I doing wrong? I used to be able to do this no problem with my iPhone...why not my iPad?
how do i ensure i can watch a movie on iPad when no wifi is available? (on airplane). I know it might be bad question, but I've been on planes before thinking i had movies for kids to watch, only to realize it wouldn't work without some kind of connection.
I have an iphone 3GS and an iPad WiFi & 3G.I am having an issue on the ipad using my exchange email. If i an in Airplane Mode, the delete and move message buttons in the email client are disabled. Is there a way to have this enabled? As i spend a lot of time flying, i like to use the time to sort emails, and clean out my inbox etc. this would be a great feature to have and would be useful for many people who travel frequently.
