If I get an email message with an embedded image (like a JPEG) I get a placeholder with a question mark inside it. Also, if I go to Safari and bring up gmail it does the same thing - shows a question mark. However, if I open the email on my MacBook Pro the image shows up fine. Tried to find some setting we could use to change this, but I have not been able to find it yet.Information:Macbook Pro, unibody, 2.5GHz, 4G RamMac OS X (10.6.3)iPad 32G
Selectively Show Mail Images - Fair Amount Of Spam
Nov 29, 2010
Is it possible to show mail images in some mail and not others? I have it set to not display mail images by default under settings since I do see a fair amount of spam and don't want them all to download automatically, but sometimes I receive an email with embedded images that I would like to see. However, I cannot find any way to choose to view the images within the email.
My new iPad wont show .jpg images correctly. They all get a yellow/blue filter almost like a negative photo. This is in Safari, Maps,Youtube and every App using .jpg images. Gifs, and png, viewing video etc is fine. Also the home screen background/wallpaper gets this problem.
BUT saved .jpgs from Safari strangely enough look fine in Photos. (Thumbnails stil look bad though.)
I thought it had to be a software issue, but reseting my device with newest OS (3.2) is not helping.
Hey all. I'm having a recurring problem with QuickOffice. Images that I have placed on my Word documents (in my computer) do not show when I open the document in QuickOffice.
I've had the same problem since I've used the app on the iPhone and now on the ipad version. Any suggestions?

I need an app where I can load some photos (or a key note presentation) and hand the iPad to a client and let them swipe their way back and forth thru a series of images. Or I can just set the slide show to play and it plays in a loop.iPhoto doesn't quite do as it doesn't loop (or I can't figure out how to make it loop) and once the slide show is over it goes back to where people can access my other images.
Is there a way to turn off the viewing of images or 1 page pdf files is mail? I want to use open in... to open the attached file in prin central for example. However if it is a 1 page pdf it shows the image instead of the attached file and won't allow open in... So can I turn of the viewing of images?
Since 2 days ago, I haven't been able to see any images in my e-mail (Yahoo! mobile mail) using the Safari in my iPhone 4 and iPad 2. This happens in both 3G and Wi-Fi mode. I've checked the Safari setting and found out that the Cookies and JavaScript are already enabled. I've even restored my iPad to an earlier backup (in which I'm 100% sure this issue didn't exist).
My friends are able to see the images on their Yahoo! mobile mail using Safari on their iDevices though.

I tried to mail a website (USAtoday) from my iPad (using Safari). For whatever reason the page froze, the mail wasn't send. Being a good boy I did this three times. Same result. But now my Mail on the iPad is telling me that there are three mails which couldn't be sent. But I cannot find these mails anywhere in order to delete them.Information:iMac 24" plus othersMac OS X (10.6.4)
I've had my iPad for less than a week and just noticed that the emails I send through my Gmail account (IMAP) from the iPad won't download to my MacBook, whereas the ones I send from my laptop do appear on my iPad as soon as I press the send button. This is odd for the ones I send directly from the Gmail page also show up on my laptop when I open Mail. Anybody knows of a way around this synching problem? I've searched this forum as well as the Gmail website but haven't found any solution so far and don't know where else to look.Information:MacBook 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Mac OS X (10.6.2)iPad 3G 3.2.1
