When I connect my iPad2 to my computer, and open itunes, it is verified. I click on it from the Devices list, and sync it. BUT, non of the newly added Apps or Books gets transferred to the iPad. Knowing that they are checked in iTunes.
View 5 RepliesI've been trying to wireless sync my iPad 3 but it's not working. I have set both the iPad and iTunes to to wireless sync option but it's not working. Also I do have the iPad plugged into an outlet and both of them are on the same network. When I go into the settings>general>iTunes wifi sync the sync now button is greyed out. I've tried to search the forum but couldn't figure out what's wrong.

I have my IPad for quite some time, back to 29 April when they came out. No problem syncing a ton of photos, some music and apps on a 32GB version with 3G until yesterday when I was instructed to update Itunes and Quicktime to ver. 10.0.1.22!
Now I can't get my IPad to be recognized as a device.
My system: Window 7 64-bit OS using 64-bit iTunes
I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes 4 times now, using Apple's own instructions. I know my IPad is talking to my Windows 7 laptop because it shows up under my Device Manager and it asks me what I want to do each time I plug it in. I also have plugged it into three different usb ports. I have also verified that the Apple USB Driver (64-bit) is installed in my Device Manager.
I have noticed that this version takes a long time to startup and it seems to be frozen for a while once it does open up. I can eventually click on menu items and use it after it unfreezes. I've never had this problem before this update.
I have ran iTunes and tried to sync with both my Windows firewall and my Microsoft Security Essentials antivirus software turned off. It changes nothing.
I sure would like some help with this problem. Again, I have been synching my IPad with this same laptop for several months and just now it has decided to stop after installing this new version of iTunes.

Today I've had a problem with my iPad and had to reset it... I've never ever synced... But now I'd like to get everything tidy if possible... I have music in my iTunes library (I don't know how it works but I'm not sure I can sync because I dragged and dropped it in iTunes library). I did a backup before restoring of course but... If I restore from back up I'm back at the same problem, if I sync I lose everything. So... how does this "sync" thing work? I've had iPhones, iPads for a long time, but really never did this... I also have some photos that I'd like to put back obviously, but not sure how to do that with the sync... I only want to put back the photo I had before the restore, not every single photo in my computer...

I've tried the directions in the iPad Users Guide; I've updated the iPad and iTunes but it will not allow me to manually sync my music. I don't want half my memory taken up with music but can't get it to allow me any other choice. No problem manually managing photos but not music.

When iPad2 get released and I can justify buying a 2nd iPad (1 for home use and 1 strictly for business use) I want to officially eliminate using a "paper" calendar at work and home. Until now I have never used iCal or calendar on iPad or iPhone. I've just kept an outlook calendar at work and a paper business planner (dayrunner style).
I want to get out of the stone age and begin to go digital w/everything. My needs are as follows and looking for suggestions and/or apps to meet my needs.
1. Outlook is not sync-able from work since they do not allow personal use devices to sync w company calendars. So I will enter appts/contacts manually into either my MacBook pro/iPad/iPhone but wish everything to sync up wirelessly via wifi (3G not necessary). When In range of wifi obviously.
2. Same goes as above with a "to do" list. Either an app or a calendar w this functionality (must have alerts). I'm talking a line-item style list not just as appt times in a calendar. So I can check things off and add throughout the day and week.
I think the biggest thing is not having to hard-wire sync my devices is the biggest thing I need. And see calendar and to do alerts on both iPad and iPhone is a must, even when phone is in my pocket and iPad in office.
I've downloaded the 5.1 update but couldn't verify the installation!!

I made a new Apple ID but when I hit the link in my email to verify it and type in my info properly (made sure multiple times and I even changed my password) it always says "username or password entered incorrectly". This is annoying because I just made the account and I know I'm entering everything properly. I even used the new Apple ID to make this forum account, but I can't use it for iMessage or Face Time.

I use my iPad for school, and the teachers wanted us to turn of iMessages, (in settings) so I did. When I came home I tried to log in again, I logged in with my apple ID and then I typed in my email and it said verifying. I though oh, it has to verify it again. I waited for a bit and it came up with email not found. I pressed check email (apple sent a email to the email I typed in above it) and no email. I tried it with my second email and it did the same. I tried this about 20 times. It's my birthday now and I would be epic if this worked again. (I love iMessages)

I just received my new iPad mini w/retina display....works great but I can find no mention anywhere that it has the retina display on the iPad.....sure, the order form has it, but the box, the actual iPad....no mention....any way to verify that it has the retina display??
