IPad Screen Turned Black While Watching Video
May 20, 2011Was watching a movie and the screen turned black. Nothing works there. I have turned it off a couple times but all in vain.

Apr 7, 2012I just sync some video on ipad, while watching the screen suddenly turned off to black. other applications are still running normally. I have restarted but still not. Now video applications unusable. What do I do?

Jun 18, 2010I got my Ipad and started the itunes process and it worked fine for 2 hours then the screen got black,i tried almost everything, from on and off, and pressing at the same time the on and home button,i see the little white apple, and then it returns to BLACK, i only see a little light from the screen to notice itīs on When i conect it to the computer it is recognized as if it was ok meanwhile Itīs still black

Screen Turned Black After Restoring?
Sep 15, 2011I restored my Ipad 64gb 3g , i got stuck in recovery mode, i used redsn0w to reinstall the new firmware , then tethered restarted it. it worked fine for a while then its screen turned black. Before this i was looking at the sim card and it was in searching mode, cydia was there but the applications failed to install. itunes was detecting it and showing the application but the screen was black. I tried everything tinyumbrella rec1 redsnow greenpoison everything to restore it but when ever i attach it with computer itunes says ipad in recovery mode.
i am stuck ......i dont know what wrong, battery was 76% at that time, now no apple logo no itunes usb mode image. nothin at all tried resetting it by holding power and home button etc.... either i am doing something wrong or something bad has happened. I am living in the country where there is no apple store and even cant send it to apple...

Upgrade To 5.1.1 - Bricked - Screen Turned Black And Unable To Turn It Back On
May 8, 2012Yesterday i upgraded my iPhone 4 via WIFI to 5.1.1. everything did go well. So i wanted to upgrade my iPad 1 as well via WIFI. It started, downloaded the patch and started to apply it, at some point the screen turned black, and i am not able to turn it back on.
When connected to iTunes it just says it is in Restore Mode, and a restore fails with error 37 all the time. Trying to restore older firmware fails with 1600,1601 or 1602. I have tried hard reset, trying to get it into DFU mode, nothing helps. The local Humac shop, has no clue either. how to solve this? Or has Apple simply just bricked my iPad in hope i would buy the iPad 3?
IPad 3G Screen Froze While Watching YouTube Video
May 31, 2012I was watching yoututbe then all of a sudden the screen froze I figure the video was either buffering so I checked and i clicked the home button and it wont respond. Then I tried resetting it by holding the sleep wake button...still no response. I'll might just wait till the battery dies then I see what happens.

Have you noticed that?The determining factor in your experience is the distance to any particular size screen. Now take that iPad (which has 8X more surface area than an iPhone screen) and hold it at a comfortable distance from your face and tell me how it compares to a larger screen much further away.Can you now grasp why video on an iPad is such a good experience when compared to normal large screen TV if you normally are sitting far enough away from the TV?

Jul 2, 2010I searched all over the internet, and I am afraid I am the only person who has encountered this problem.I was watching a movie through air video, and the video freezes.When I hit the home button, 1/3 of the screen is still showing the frozen frame of the movie. that section of the screen continues to show the frozen frame.I turn the iPad off then back on, that section now is completely black. The iPad works fine except for that section showing nothing.I have gone into general settings and reset, and I have held home and the lock button to reset as well. Nothing has worked. Did the application fry the video connection or the display?

Jul 25, 2012my wife is having an issue with her New iPad, I don't have the iPad in front of me she is at work, she tried to play a video from the IOS Video App and all she is getting is a black screen (no controls will show up when she taps the screen), I had her close all open apps including the video app but didn't fix it, I also had her turn off her iPad and turn it back on and Nothing, I had her double click the home button and scroll back to the player and hit play but it played music, I finally had her hold the home button and the sleep button till the apple logo came on and told her to wait for it to come back up and still no video playback. I was thinking maybe re-syncing when she gets home. if that doesn't work I was thinking about restoring, is there something else I can do other then restoring?

May 18, 2011Got my iPad 2 today, wifi only 64GB, got everything synced up nice. Was just testing everything out and tried to play all of my videos. Purchased music videos played absolutely fine, but I also had a couple videos I ripped from a DVD. When my iPad tries to play it, the screen goes black and the app completely freezes, I cant tap once, and then tap Done to go back to all of my videos. Press the home button, force close the videos app, try to reopen the app and it comes right back to the black screen. Try a soft restart, reopen the videos app, still black. Only way to solve it is to resync with iTunes. Keep in mind, the videos play perfectly fine on my iPhone 4 and classic.

Jun 11, 2013I replaced my digitizer screen, my Ipad 3 powers up and I have access to applications. Now the Video LCD screen has a one inch white block with a black strip in the middle. The white and black block out is in the middle of screen and is displayed landscape and in vertical position. Is there any software or settings fix for this problem other than replacing the LCD video screen?

May 8, 2010The 'redeem' button in the Application store on the iPad doesn't respond at all, I've used it a number of times in the past, and now nothing, I've tried restarting and everything.I downloaded a video podcast from iTunes, and started playing it back, about a minute in, it stopped and the screen went black, now everytime I start up either iPod or Videos and attempt to play the podcast the screen goes black immediately and nothing else is available to me. I've also tried restarting and still no podcast playback.
