My PC at my office is infected with the Vista Defender 2012 virus. I cannot go directly online to download fix. So, I am wondering if there is an App that will enable me to use my IPad as a diagnostic tool and virus remover when linked to my PC. Kind of like using it as a flash drive to load the anti virus software with more automation. Seems like this would be a great app. Plug IPad into infected PC and presto IPad fixes it.

MY iPad has been having many bad things go on like only one of the speakers works, videos are all messed up into thousands of miniature squares that are obviously not meant to be that way. When I type it won't type as fast as my fingers and I type rather slowly. It will be loading an unlabeled and un identifiable something with and without the internet on even when all of the applications are closed.
Do these these things stand for that somebody is pirating my information or uploading stuff without permission? The problems are the same in my iPhone 4S. Might this mean that I have it in my iCloud Account?

I opened an email which turned out to be a suspicious one purporting to ship my order , giving me a product no etc. Prior to that I had purchased a holiday online , using my DEBIT card. Now I am concerned that my account will be hacked into. How do I check this >How do I run a virus check?
View 5 RepliesI am investing a lot for the I-pad 2. I have never been a gadget person(definitely not an apple one) but the I-Pad will fit into my core philosophy really well. I am a minimalist- I hate having stuff. To borrow from fight club- the things end up owning you, and I have personal experience with it.I told my friend that I would use this device for everything from reading, writing to music and knowledge(I am a big space and paleontology buff). I will keep only the I-pad and nothing else with me. He said- what if, heaven forbid, you loose your I-pad?I hate it when I loose my data. I have lost two external hard-drives this way and it only strengthened my belief in not owning anything. I would hate it if all my work, all my notes, all my writings were to be lost due to some reason. Is there anyway the I-pad could end up blowing in my face- A virus, technical malfunction or any random issue?Should I still keep a backup of all my files, apps etc on some CD?

View 3 RepliesI'm using the new ipad 4G since April-2012. Its simply great, but I'm now facing the below issue. I noticed that, without my knowledge, the email application on my ipad (gmail) is pasting all the contents from "Notes" application (ipad scratch pad) and sending an email to me ( not sure who else its sending). The "To" field in that email is Blank and it says undisclosed receipents. It so far sent me 17 emails (dates ranging from Jun 2 to June 24). Some days it has sent 7 emails at a time ( on June 24).
These emails don't show up in my "INBOX" of gmail, but when I click "ALL MAIL" I see all the emails. I deleted my email account (gmail) from Ipad & also deleted all the data from the "Notes" application.I was under impression that IPAD is almost virus free but looks like its not the case. I reset all the settings and deleted all cookies & history. Besides this, anything additional to safeguard my personal data.

My ipad1 keeps crashing from inside apps, normally while typing - goes back to the home screen. Haven't updated lately as heard there were issues, have updated apps. iPad has never been jail broken, and there's also been issues with it not recharging. Have reset it more than once and it's still happening, I see apps available through iTunes for anti-virus (as this is now all I can think it is), but not sure which ones are dodgy so won't try them or does ipad1 only have a year lifespan (considering what it cost nit impressed with that idea)

I was on the internet on my ipad using safari and when i tapped on a website it said my internet explorer 6 was out of date and needed updating is this a new virus? it showed pictures of chrome, safari and others to click on, also only a few minutes before i was on my e-mails and i accidently clicked on a fake e-mail from apple asking me to verify my itunes details, could i have accidently allowed a virus through? as far as i'm aware ios hasn't had any viruses, i have done a complete reset anyway to be safe...
View 4 RepliesToday I received an audio notification alert on my iPad 2 saying my computer was at risk and to immediately go to www.sstpm.com and activate protection. The alert just kept repeating so I did go to the site and saw this:
Then I closed out and went on my desktop to the same site address, again saw the above image. Closed out, did a fruitless web search and then tried to go back to the site but was taken to FileHippo.com. The sstpm site was no longer there. Now I don't mean to waste your time but this is so curious. I realize we do not need virus protection for the iPad iPad 2.
