Does anyone know how to reset the passcode when you are no longer abe to access the IPAD. I have forgotten it and when I go to sync it with Itunes it wont allow me to do this unless I have the passcode which I have totally forgotten.
That's something that drives me nuts currently on the iPad. I have a password set on the device, but the box is so tiny to hit the numbers that it feels more like a phone lock screen than an iPad lock screen. So, is this changed, or is it still minuscule?
I am not able to unlock my iPad 2 with the Passcode I have created. I am sure that I have typed correct Passcode for unlocking. It seems that the Passcode does not working with my iPad. What are the steps needed to be taken for unlocking my iPad in such a difficult situation?
So I tried a few different passcodes that are normally the default passcodes on electronic devices if you have not set one and none of them worked. I have no Idea what to do. I tried different codes and the more I tried the longer my ipad was disabled until I could try again. So I called apple and they emailed me some info but then the ipad alarm started going off asking me to return my ipad to apple store so it could be returned to its owner. What the heck? I am its owner! Anyhow does anyone know what I should do to unlock the passcode? Should I just go into the apple store and have them fix it?
My 3 year old, has learned to lock my ipad with a new passcode and every time I have to restore the ipad to the factory settings, and I don't normally keep a recent backup of my contents so I end up spending all day building up my library of apps etc. Is there an easier way to unlock your device? I know that you may lock your device remotely using the very useful find my iphone software but it can only be done using the existing passcode and not a new one.
I set a passcode and I use the feature that only requires the passcode after a certain period of idle time. Most of the time thats what I want. But, sometimes I just want to lock it up immediately. So, is there a way to easily override the passcode delay and cause the device to immediately lock and required a passcode?
I got my iPad at the end of June from the Apple online store. A few weeks later, for no apparent reason, it requested a password for security settings, which I had not set. Since I could access the itunes store from my computer, this wasn't a major problem, so I learned to live with it. Then, three weeks ago, it requested a passcode to gain any access at all. As there seemed no alternative, I went through a complete reset, and had to reload all my apps, without any saved data (the one upside to this was getting to play "Angry Birds" all over again!). For three weeks that was OK, but now, out of the blue, it's demanding a passcode again, so I'm having to do a total reset again. Has anyone else encountered this? Looks as if I'll have to take it back to Apple
I put a four digit restriction on my daughter's original IPAD to keep her from making changes and ordering additional apps w/o permission ( she is autistic) Now I've forgotten the password so I can't make changes how do I over ride this? How do I fix this?
So I got an iPad that my daughter sometimes use and cuz of that I have activated restrictions but now I want to reset my phone completely but I put restrictions on it and now I cant remember my pin for it so what should I do?
When I first set up my iPad I remember having to create a new password. I created a different one from my iTunes and Apple accounts. Will I need that password again? I was so excited when I set it up I have now lost/forgotten the password.
