how do I find out the phone number associated to the MicroSIM card in my iPad 3G+WiFi? I suppose I could put the SIM card into a mobile and call someone... but there must be some way to display my number on iPad?I'm aware that the iPad does not allow for calls or SMS, I just need the number to register for the online billing (Vodafone Germany).
I decided to sign up for the unlimited at&t plan earlier today and At&T sent me a data plan "phone number" to use as reference for them. What is my sim card #? I am not familiar at all with the sim card and haven't even tried to take it out from the iPad etc. I did try to do something with a password using the settings but i don't know the password?
I have an O2 3G iPad and to connect to BT openzone I need the number of the SIM card.Is there a way to get this from the iPad? I now realise I should have made a note of this from the packaging of the SIM card!
I set up my new iPad from a backup from my original iPad and everything worked fine except 3G. I was unable to set up a 3G account with AT&T because there was no cell number assigned to my new iPad 2.
I thought it was operator error so I restored the iPad 2 and set it up as a new iPad. Same problem. When I look under general settings>about>cellular number it says unknown. Is it possible Apple never assigned a cellular number to my new iPad 2?
on face-time, can i change the email and phone number that i use? im currently using land line number and personal email, but i want to change them so others don't get hold of my details. can i do that? if so, how? would i be able to change to a mobile number and gmail? or is there anyway to block my details and keep them private so they don't show on face-time?
A website I visit for work uses phone numbers as user IDs. These IDs are clickable, bringing you to a user info page. When I access this website from my ipad and click on the phone numbers I'm being asked if I want to add this number to my contact list. As a result I am unable to access the user info page.
I understand that the ipad styles phone numbers in various applications (apparently Safari included) as links so you can easily add them to your contact list (or on the iPhone, give them a call), but it seems silly that this behavior would take priority over a link that was already styled as a hyperlink by the website designer.
When attempting to send text message from iPad I get error message "phone number not registered with iMessage REMOVE" the number is for iPhone an includes area code and country code. How do u register a number with iMessage?.
I have set up my iPad mini and it is working well with the exception of facetime. The ipad is to share between my wife and I and is the wifi only version. THe ipad has linked itself to my Apple phone number and I believe that this is causing the ipad to not be able to facetime to my apple phone. All other contacts I can face time. HOw do I delete my phone number from trhe ipad or put in a different number to allow my to call the iPhone from the ipad.
