Was wondering if there is a way to alphabetized your favorites in Safari, I'm tired of trying to remember how far to scroll down to find a particular site I've bookmarked, since they are added as you bookmarked them, in no particular order. Seem a pain that Apple wouldn't address this issue, since one of the main reasons I use my iPad is to surf the net, and I have the option to alphabetize them on my PC.It would make it alot easier to find a site if it was.
I rearrange folders in the Safari favorites list they won't stay put. I move them and they appear to be staying until the next time I drop down the list. I'm moving them by hitting "edit" and then dragging it.
I have some issues with my IPad 3 that I haven't been able 2 solve:
1. All of my documents are .wps from my pc. None of the apps I've tried opens these documents. It would be great 2b able to use 'pages' for these documents.
2. I cannot delete pre-set favorites or other favorites in Safari. The pre-set favorites were on Ipad when it was purchased and I do not use them at all. There is a favorites bar and also a list of favorites when '...' Is chosen, but no delete option.
3. I really don't like the IOS7 update. It changed my Ipad too much--took away things I liked. Is there a way 2 go back to IOS6 and recover what was lost? I lost some important info in chats.
I subscribe to MobileMe. Internet Explorer 8 on my one PC had something called the 'Favorites Bar' (it didn't have my favorites) which then appeared on my iPad after syncing with MobileMe.. I removed the Favorites Bar from IE on the PC, but it's still on Safari on the iPad. How do I get rid of this in Safari?
I selected favorites in the FaceTime app in my ipad and it comes up as a transparent sidebar that I can no remove. I can not get to the back camera selector and I can not see the entire screen. How do I get rit of the favorites sidebar?
when I sync my IE Favorites with the iPad (not through iCloud - via iTunes on computer) those favorites nestled in folders don't appear in Safari on the iPad...the main folders do; however, not those in folders..
I handed down my ipad 2 to my wife and purchased a recurred ipad 3 from apple. I wiped the 2 prior to giving it to her and set it up as a new ipad with her email address etc. she loves it and has begun personalizing her ipad which makes me happy.
The problem is, she deleted all of my favorites on her ipad, which erased them on mine! I've found a temporary fox by not backing up safari on my ipad. Is there another way? By the way, as a sidebar, the ipad 3 is not a 'better tablet' than the 2 if it's just an internet and email tool. That's why I am unmoved by the 4 and the Air!
So with the new safari, you'll notice there are new favorites on there. You can't delete them, or I don't know how at least. Anyways, for some reason my favorite links (facebook, yahoo) go to the chinese versions of the sites. I can't edit the links either. Everything else in the ipad is set to english though.
I have a iPad air and iphone 5s and have a huge problem with bookmarks in Safari. Every few days my favorites and a few other though not all directories multiply. Example in favorites I end up with iPad forum sometimes 4 or more times in both devices. I have deleted them off both devices so many times my fingers are tired. How can I stop this?
I added the favorites bar to the top of the screen on my iPad mini. I no longer want it but don't know how to remove it. This happened when I was using Bing but now it is on all the web pages. It's just a bar that sits under the web address square.
I want to remove the favorites bar from the top of Safari. Somehow when I was using Bing I was asked if I wanted to have one. I just realized it wasn't only Bing but all web pages. I am using an iPad mini.
While I was using IOS 5.1.1 with my iPad 2, it was possible to remove videos from You Tube favorites. Since I upgraded it to IOS 6, I canít find the ĎEdití button on You Tube favorites to delete the videos I want. Is there any solution available for this problem?
I'm wondering if there is a way to transfer all of my explorer favorites into the safari browser on the IPad2. I saw the note in the intunes info section of syncing where it says it is done over the air through mobileme, and that I could change the settings on the IPad - but could not find where to do that...
I'm wondering if there is a way to search bookmarks for a particular address on an iPad. I have an extensive list of bookmarks including too many duplicates to go through point by point. I am trying to search out a particular misdirect that has landed an icon on my Safari homepage favorites icon's list. The only way I can find it is if I can search my bookmarks and favorites is there a way to do that?
I have a IPAD1 3G 32Gb with the latest IOS updated. Youtube app was preloaded on the Ipad. As you are aware some of the channels stream live videos on youtube. I would like to view live stream videos on my Ipad without much delay. But I do not have the option to type youtube address specifically; only I can search for videos and channels.
How do I open particular channel and view stream video?
As most of the live stream videos are flash based, I cannot use safari. I did use iswifter browser for viewing live stream, it was ok. But after every 6 minutes it redirected me to purchase the Iswifter browser.
Do you guys know any other app to view live flash stream?
now that you can view youtube with html5 instead of flash, can anyone test this for us that has not yet gotten an ipad yet.You need to head to youtube.com/html5 and click the link "Join the HTML5 Beta" a bit down, I hope it's this simple on the ipad as it was on my pc.After doing this all videos will be displayed using html5, well atleast on my pc it does.I have heard that you cant use the browser included to view youtube and have to use the app, so I just wanted info on this since I cant test it myself
