How do I download the standard definition version of a TV onto my iPad from iTunes? I've purchased several shows in the HD version. iTunes downloads both the standard def file and HD file. All I see is the HD version in iTunes, even though both files have been downloaded to my computer. I'd like to download some files in standard def so that I can fit more shows onto my iPad.
i got the 16GB wifi ipad running 3.2.1 and i'm already jailbroken
1) I know there are differences between chargers but shouldnt i be able to charge using a standard Apple USB cable attached to the computer? I also tried a standard Apple iPhone charger and it also won't charge. I also tried a generic iphone AC charger and that too won't charge the iPad. . .
2) Where are all the standard iPhone apps like Calculator, Voice Recorder, etc.? does this thing even have a mic?
3) Where are all the popular apps for iPhone like Facebook, Slacker Radio etc.?? i realize some apps are only for iPhone and CAN be run on the iPad, but did they really NOT make a Facebook app specifically for the iPad??
P.S. after writing this thread, my iPad battery went up 1% while plugged into the computer. It still says 'Not Charging' though. Does this just mean it's not charging to it's full potential?
Once imported photos by the connection kit, ipad just groups them by 'last import' and 'all import'. In the event sort, it is just group them by the date of import. Is there a better way for user to group/name/sort them by our definition?
When reading a French book in the iBookstore I tap on dictionary it states that the word doesn't exist or if the word is similar to an English word it will give me the English definition but never a French definition.
I just logged into iTunes (via my iPad) to download last night's Glee. The purchase went through, but I have an error that says "This item cannot be downloaded on this network. You must connect to a Wi-Fi network or use iTunes on a computer to download it."PS...I searched the forum and googled, but didn't find anything on this.
I have recently purchased a TV series from iTunes via my iPad.In iTunes, my downloads show that I have 22 downloads available. How do I download them from iTunes to my iPad? For the life of me I cannot work out how to download them. All shows display the word 'processing' under them however they never fully download.
I've bought a series from iTunes, watched one episode on my mac and now want to watch the rest on my iPad. On iTunes they (and others) appear in my library. So good so far. There's a cloud icon beside each, so I clicked to download the series so far to my iPad. Download was fine ... And then one by one they disappeared. As soon as they downloaded, they vanished. To where? They're still in my iTunes library, but I can't watch direct from there... They need to be downloaded. Again.
"You've already purchased this but it hasn't been downloaded. To download it, go to Purchases and tap Redownload."I bought a book earlier but the download stopped a fifth of the way through. When I went back to the store and clicked purchase again I got that message. So I went to Purchases and tapped on Redownload. I got the same message again!
I just bought a season pass for TV show on my new iPad. It instantly started to download every single episode of that show, there is no space on my ipad. I thought that I would simply be able to pick the shows that I wanted to download and watch at my leisure.
Now I can't do anything on my iPad because I'm constantly being flooded with error messages about space, and as soon as I free up a few kilobytes it immediately start download more episodes.
Downloading app via 3G led to message: larger than 20mb, download via wi-fi or i-tunes. iPad shows app with loading indicator. Connected via itunes, but app did not download. iPad app icon shows loading but no blue bar indicator of progress. Tried to delete, but icon does not present X.
When i receive pictures in the mail if there are 3 or more, the last pictures to download always shows up as a broken link, no matter how many times I attempt to download different mail. I try shutting it off and back on still doesnt show..
I apologize in advance if this has already been asked but...
With the limited storage on the ipad (16-32-64GB), I will only be able to have a movie or two at a time on the device. Will I be able to clear the memory and download fresh movies from my itunes "purchased library" where ever I am?
Whenever I try to download an app through my iPad 2, the AppStore shows “waiting for the download” message for long period of time without any response. What has to be done for getting rid of this issue?
I plan on purchasing a 64GB 3G Ipad very soon. I would like to know if the Ipad is good for watching movies. I have a bunch of movies on my Mac Pro that I've purchased through itunes and digital copies from movies I've purchased from Amazon. Would I be able to synch those movies to the ipad? How does Standard Movies look on the Ipad? Do they look sharp?

I see many posts from people disappointed that the iPad does not run a full or cut down version of OSX and is therefore not a full blown Laptop replacement.
I owned a HP TouchSmart TX2 laptop for a number of months as the idea of a touch capable device really appealed to me. How ever it didn't take me long to hate the damn thing.
1) It was heavy. 2) It's battery life was terrible. 3) The standard OS (Vista) wasn't sophisticated enough to deal with touch input. 4) HP touch designed software was not as good as freeware software. (TouchSmart Software v Windows Media Player)
After a few days of trying the stylus and the finger touch input, writing notes that could not be translated with 100% accuracy to Text, sketching some drawings, swiping thu some photo's and movies the novelty wore off really quickly, and soon I looked at how I was using the device and realized that I found it better and easier to use the keyboard and mouse. Touch actually slowed me down.
The device was sold and I brought a MacBook to replace it.
To me, current Win7 or OSx operating systems would be laborious to use with a touch only input and I think that any hardware company who releases a touch device using a standard OS will struggle to sell to the general public.
Geeks like you and I maybe tempted, but I think the only way forward for touch devices is with specially designed cut down OS's like the iPad and maybe Andriod when it's released. Designed from the ground up with it's Touch experience first on the drawing board.
I'm sure I've seen this before but can't find the thread -- does it really make that much difference downloading a regular def versus a high def movie from iTunes in terms of viewing crispness on an iPad 1?
I bought a full season of a tv show in iTunes on my iPad, and spent a good amount of time downloading it. Now, I went to sync it to iTunes, and can't get the episodes to sync. Now, before buying the season, I didn't check the box that specifies "sync tv shows" on the iPad, as I didn't realize I needed to. don't want to redownload them, or lose them. I also don't want to have to repurchase them.
Purchased 31 episodes of family guy, only 11 downloaded. Rest of them have "download error. Tap to retry".I tapped to retry, but no luck. Same message is displayed. Afraid, I will have to purchase all again...will I get charged twice? All purchases made through ipad only, not pc:iPad
Is the 3G iPad's wifi reach further distances? I am interested in using the ipad in a room with mediocre WiFi service (only plastic macbooks work reliably in it). Do you guys think the 3G's will give me a better chance of having it work in that room?
