In India Ipad is not yet launched, however i have an opportunity to get it from one of my friend here in Mumbai. if i get from him,can i register this device with apple, and also whether i can buy extended warranty online. i don't have bill details for this purchase.also please advise can i upgrade the operating system time to time?
I am new to Apple. I ordered the 32GB, 3G Ipad. I currently use a backup program from Paragon to back up my entire windows system, including the operating system. It has really proven useful. If I happen to get a virus that gets by my anti-virus program or something else really bad, I can simply restore my complete system from a different hard drive where I have the copy stored. How can something like this be done with the Ipad? I know it syncs with Itunes, but can the whole flash drive be re-done from a copy that you make with some program, similar to Paragon?
I have decided buying iPad as my 2nd Apple's product. What should I look in it so I can sure that its really a fresh piece.Apple iPad 64GB Wifi 3G Operating System?Any other recommendation?I am buying it from Gitex (Technology show in Dubai) after 15 days, prices will not be reduced but it will be expensive than America, so I want it to be real fresh and I don't need to update anything.
I recently reinstalled Windows and want to re-sync everything from the iPad onto the new PC OS with iTunes.
However it's saying my iPad is sync'd to another computer and that if I want to sync it to the new computer it will have to erase the iPad. How do I sync everything on the iPad to the new PC OS, rather than the computer to the iPad?
I de-authorised the former PC operating system and have authorised the new one via iTunes, and it even states the new PC is authorised.
why are the clock and the weather app missing from the iPad?these are standard iPod and iPhone apps which were just perfect.I really do not know why they are missing, particularly when the OS is supposedly the same.
With iPhone OS 4.0, what exactly is going to be the difference between the iPhone and the iPad? Are we going to see a customized iPad 4.0 OS as Fall approaches, or will they be running identical operating systems? If that's the case, then wow. I was hoping for an expose like multi-tasking a few substantial features that would give some differentiation besides screen size. I mean, even the iPhone will now have iBooks.
1) iPad gets storage bumps.2) iPad gets a definitive storage system. This allows apps to store in a definite place and you know where its going. (pages, etc.)3) Still us iOS, still basically the same.4) use either beefed up A4 chip OR use i3,i5,i7 processors... they'd be powerful5) Some sort of Retina Display for iPad's larger screen6) iLife for iPad7) Allow setting to allow third party apps that dont have to come through the app store. Make like a setting in the Settings app. 8) Encourage more apps based on Mac OS X applications like Google Chrome.9) Microsoft Office for iPad10) Of course, front and rear facing cameras.11) Finder and several other apps from Mac OS X that makes it more of a computer experience.
Heard on the radio on the way into work this morning, I think it was on CNBC, that Apple was coming out with a "NEW" Operating System for the iPad to address problems relating to multitasking. I just purchased an iPad on 7 April.....Do I need to return my new iPad wait till the "new" operating system come out or will I automatically have my operating system upgraded by Apple when this "new" system comes out? I have also purchased the "extended" maintenance package
At least once a day while browsing in atomic browser, my iPad goes crazy and start opening different apps keyboard popping up and down lolololololololol I'm thinking it's a bug in the atomic browser but can't be sure. It happened twice already today and yesterday. Both times while in the browser. When I click on the home button when all of this happening, it will bring me back to the browser........kind of funny, anybody else get this?
Ive had my iPad2 for less than a month and have come to the conclusion that it has a lot of potential but is severely limited by its poor operating system. Many Apps use work-a-round methods to try to correct some of the numerous restrictions but many of these are awkward in operation.
I believe these limitations were intentional in accordance to Steve Jobs Apple policy. Granted he was a great business man and forward thinking entrepreneur who greatly impacted the communications world of today but he was also a control freak who jealously guarded his Apple world from outside competition. He put great emphasis style and limited functionality where it strayed from his domain.
Dont get me wrong, my first computer was an Apple II+ which I bought in the early 80 and got great production from it using Multiplex for numerous spread functions for business and adapting 3rd party software for use in Ham radio applications but when IBM came out with the PC my Apple went on the shelf and still sits there today, gathering dust. When new tablets are introduced with the Windows 8 OS it will become crystal clear how limited the iPad2 OS really is.
Few day back i lost my ipad but i got i back however today when looking at my tracking number i noticed that there was a master tracking number linked. Though i have this tracking number i can see the name address and phone number of each person expecting an ipad. How is this possible how can Apple allow anyone to gain access to this master tracking number in my opinion this is a huge security risk.
I don't get it. I've had no problems in the past connecting to the wifi network in the office. Ever since I downloaded the new Operating system it doesn't connect. Another identical ipad connects no problem.
ipad telling me to connect to itunes after downloading new operating system; all I see on my ipad screen is the image of the ipad cord directing me to plug into ITunes. When I sign in to Itunes, nothing happens
I installed 4.2.1 and I still get the same interface as before. I got the Game Center and the Mute button is there and iTunes says that 4.2.1. is the operating system but no bar, no folders. Is there a switch I have to throw?
I recently was attempting to update my ipad's software, using my windows PC(XP,) and during the process, I believe my IP service may have been interrupted, and the process stalled or stopped. Since then, I haven't been able to re-establish a connection between my iPad and iTunes, despite several attempts by various means that I've seen written about here and elsewhere.Â
The device powers on, and has the wire to iTunes logo on the front, but if I connect it to my PC, it doesn't recognize the device, even though it was registered on iTunes on my deslktop. The device manager recognizes it, but not iTunes.Â
I'm locked out of using my device, and I did not interrupt the update myself. I can only speculate what happened, given the message I got, which was something to the effect of "update interrupted." Â
Unfortunately, I did not copy a screen shot of the error, but I'm close to what it said.Â
