My battery life still says 100% after an hour's use. I've probably been on it about 20 minutes of that hour doing email and calendar. I'd like to think it's my awesome battery, but I'm guessing it's the battery meter reading it funny.
I'm going to fully drain to reset it, but wanted to see if others have experienced this?
Just got my iPad 3G. Drained the battery and recharged it back to 100%. With only wifi on (brightness 100% with auto brightness on) and everything else turned off (3G, notification, location...) the battery drained 17% in an hour? All I did was browsing websites and Facebook.... Not even using any other app. Does that sound right at all?
I mostly schedule appointments using my iPhone, in checking out the iCal App in our new iPad I noticed they all were scheduled 1 hour later than what I entered on my iPhone. We moved recently from Pacific time to Mountain time, I corrected the iPhone time zone from Cupertino to Denver, likewise the iPad. Problem still exists, e.g. I schedule an appointment on my iPhone for 2pm it shows up on my iPad for 3pm.
I also corrected my wife's iPhone to Mountain Time, the iPad is still scheduling events 1 hour later .

I did a quick search and didn't really find what I was looking for. (owner experience) Just curious if the majority are happy with they're battery life? I've mostly been connected via wifi and seem to be getting 5 to 7 hours on a full charge. No gaming. Mostly surfing and reading online. (email, news and weather, etc)
I've been facing this problem after the IOS update 5.1.1. Before updating the IOS, my new ipad does not lose any charge overnight. But now, I lose charge around 1% per hour. I realise as the battery % is lower, it loses more charge in an hour on standby. I switched off everything except 3G and location services. Sometimes, the battery doesn't lose charge but when it did, it loses by quite a lot. No apps was running on that time. †
Anyone know if there is an iPad theme or anything that will allow my lockscreen to change (say per hour, or per lock)? i heard there is a way on iphone but those photos arent sized correctly for the ipad.
When I enter an appointment on my iPad calendar it syncs to my yahoo calendar. Only trouble is it is always one hour behind! If I do the appointment on my computer, when it syncs to my iPad, my iPad is one hour in front! I have tried many things and have checked that the times are correct British summer time on both my computer and my iPad?
Is it normal for an iPad Mini w/Retina to get warm after about an hour of use? I just purchased one today and it's gotten pretty warm since I've used it. I haven't played any games on it...just mainly downloading apps and music. My old iPad Mini (1st gen) never got warm.
My wifes iPad 2 16gig wifi only is displaying time incorrectly. It is exactly 1 hour off. When I go into settings the time is set to "Automatic" and the time zone is set to "Chicago". I can manually set it to Eastern time zone but when I set it to Auto it switches back to Chicago time.
I posted about this same issue a few weeks ago hopping that apple will give an update about 5.1 IOS for Ipad 2 but becouse I need my Ipad for dental school almost everyday i went and search a solution for my poor battery life. After upgrading to 5.1 my Ipad is almost useless with a battery life of 3 hours only with WIFI (this only happen hours after I update to 5.1) So i been searching on the web and I have found a few posts about this, but they are not confirm if this is an 100% solution, they say if i restored my Ipad from scratch using Itunes player my IOS will redownload and the battery will be ok ones again, so is this true, has anybody had this same problem before and had try this solution?, also if I restored my Ipad and I backup with Icloud my Ipad will be with the same apps and contents? I only care for "The skeleton system pro" app because I have a lot of notes in there.
I have an iPad 4 that was low on memory because of pinterest taking almost all of the memory. I deleted it and then rebooted. The Apple logo is frozen for over an hour. I tried to shut it down and restart and nothing happens. I have no control at all. How can you get it to reboot or to restart?
Short Version: Got "Low Memory" warning today! Is there an App to manage the memory usage? (to list what apps/items are using what amount of memory?)
Yes... Of COURSE I have installed many apps.Lots of News apps. (Reuters, NPR, NYT, BBC, Weather Channel, several others) Lots of the solitaire apps. Several simple games. None of the really high graphic ones. Sticky notes, Drawing programs. Lots of other apps. NO music yet. NO photos yet.
I haven't even started syncing any files from the desktop machine. So, is there anything to analyze where my heavy memory use is?
iPad (original) suddenly stops charging, also stops talking to computer via USB. Cables and chargers (tried multiples) are known good, working fine on another iPad.  iPad has been both hard reset (home and power buttons) and completely wiped. Connector has been cleaned out, no lint or dirt.
However, if you power the iPad off, and then connect it to the charger, it wakes up, but then says not charging when it's booted. It is taking a charge, very, very, slowly, about 1% an hour, not enough really to make it very usable.
On my pc the appointments are 1 hour early, but correct on the iPad. Both are set to London time, both clocks are correct. Everything was fine yesterday. I did delete some calendars yesterday, I think that they were call "Calendars on my iPad". They were empty & redundant, but could that be the cause?
I'm having great fun trying to get my iPhone, my iPad and my pc to play nicely. The problem seems to occur just with recurring appointments which cross the daylight saving time boundary, with the iPhone and the iPad treating the appointments differently. The basic problem seems to be that if I set an appointment up on the pc, when I sync it to the iPad it gets shifted by one hour backwards (i.e. a 2.30 appointment becomes 1.30) in both Outlook and the iPad. It doesn't seem to make any difference whether I have Time Zone Support checked or unchecked. Sync the same appointment with the iPhone and it displays at the correct time. But it only seems to be recurring appointments which are affected and only those where they start now and run on after the change to GMT in late October. The iPhone, by contrast, shows the right time even when the ipad has messed up Outlook. Both devices are set to London time zone both in the general setting and the calendar setting. Outlook is set to GMT, adjusting for daylight saving time. It's driving me mad, just can't seem to fix it. The Time Zone Support feature is very unintuitive. I want my device set up so that if I put in an appointment at 1pm it stays at 1pm even when I change time zones. I can't for the life of me see why Apple thinks that I would want to put an appointment I will attend in time zone B in at the wrong time when I make the appointment whilst in time zone A and hope that it turns up at the right time when I arrive at my destination - why would that ever be sensible?! It may be OK in the States (if you regularly cross time zones by 1hr) but it makes no sense at all in Europe.
My new iPad mini with Retina display drains at a rate of around 4% every half an hour. Is this normal? The rate seems to be so high that I cannot take my eyes off the battery meter while using the device.  I bought it just the day before from an authorized re-seller. What standby time should I expect? Is there any way I can check battery health and drainage without a trip to Apple Care?
I plan on buying an Ipad soon but need to know the actual viewable area of a movie (wide screen) when shown in the 4:3 format. In other words, how much real estate does the picture have after considering the black bars on top and bottom of screen? I know the Ipad is 9.7 or close to that diagonally. Obviously black bars take up a fair chunk of that when watching a 2:35 widescreen movie though. Could you show me pictures of a movie on the Ipad just to get an idea of what it will look like?
My second question is about the rumored Ipad Mini. Will this device be next to useless showing movies on. (too small) If the big Ipad has a lot of real estate stolen by black bars, wont that mean the mini will be close to the iphone in terms of viewing area or am i getting confused? Would the mini be 4:3 ratio or 3:2 similar to iphone?
i rented an iTunes movie (the bountyhunter) and watched it. it's done/expired - only problem is the "movie cover" won't dissappear/self-destruct like the others. it just stays on my iPad and i can't get it off... quite annoying. does anyone know how to get rid of expired movie rentals on the iPad?
I have recently purchased some movies through iTunes in my iPad 2. When I try to load them after selecting Shared library, I noticed that the Movie artwork does not matches to the corresponding movie. What should I do to match and play?
