How Can I See A WiFi Password That My Manager Put?

Sep 13, 2010

I took my iPad to work today, my manage saw the iPad and asked me if I knew that our area had a secret WiFi network.

I had no clue. He took my iPad and connected to the hidden network and input the password too.

Both him & I were online w/ the iPad for at least half the day..

My question here is......how can I see what the password is on my iPad, so that w/ my iPod Touch I can connect it to that same hidden WiFi network?

I'm pretty sure my boss won't give me that info..the network is solely for when work laptops need internet, but no one uses WiFi at work cause there are ethernet cables everywhere...but the WiFi still exists (though hiddenly) at work.

Wifi Keeps Asking For Password

May 28, 2010

My iPad asks to join the correct wifi network but because my signal is weak I lose the signal intermittently. My issue is that it continuously asks me to enter the password even though it's a network I have previously and successfully joined. Any way I can get it to remember my password for me and join automatically?

What Is Best Task & Appointment Manager?

Aug 28, 2010

Some four weeks or so since buying my iPad 3G, I'd say that one of the most delightful things about it is the sheer ease of installing new 'apps'. But inevitably there's a lot of poor stuff to wade through in the App Store to find those of quality. I'm seeking apps in several areas and will post separately about each. To start with I'd be grateful for recommendations on a good task and appointment manager please. I've tried several but have not yet found one that really cuts the mustard. Maybe I'm mistaken, but I wouldn't have thought my requirements were that unusual:1. Must handle 'Tasks' not just 'Appointments' in a simple, intuitive way. 2. Must be able to display these in consolidated form. For a day, week, or month. 3. Must let me sync painlessly between my iPad and PC, on which I use Microsoft Outlook 2002. And ideally also with my smartphone, which runs nder Windows Mobile and syncs to Outlook 2002. 4. Must have the usual functionality expected in such programs. Like handling repeat events (weekly meetings, annual birthdays, etc), holidays spanning multiple dates, etc. With Windows Mobile I was spoiled for choice, with programs like Pocket Informant, Agenda Today, etc, so I'm hopeful I can find something of similar quality for the iPad.

Basic File Manager In IOS 4?

Jun 11, 2010

The notion of not having a visible file system for is great - for 90% of tasks it really simplifies how users interact with the device, and makes for a streamlined experience. However, there are several very important instances where the inability to access and use a traditional file manager really limits the iPad.

These include the ability to manipulate documents using multiple applications, 'save' files from the web for later use, transfer files between devices/servers (including uploading files) This crucial 10% is the difference between the iPad as a very cool gadget, and the iPad as a viable replacement for a netbook.

Obviously adding a file manager given the current setup will be a challenge, but I see no reason why a very simplified version of 'Finder' shouldn't be possible. 'Documents' folders, behind a Finder icon, would add a ton of functionality without affecting the primacy of individual apps as the primary means of document interaction!

So, what are the chances we'll see this from Apple? And what are my current 3rd party options?

How To Install VZ Access Manager

Aug 13, 2010

I have a Verizon Wireless Modem with a USB connection. Has anyone used this USB modem with an iPad? How do you install VZAccess Manager seeing that you didn't get it from the ap store? I've used this USB modem on two HP and one Sony notebook, an I am now using it with a iMac 27". Sure would be great to be able to use it with an iPad instead of buying a MiFi and paying an additional $60.00 a month.

Options For Contact Manager

Jul 26, 2010

I searched almost two months of postings...and only found this one thread: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthre...hlight=contact But, there is only one solution offered...and my question is not which...as I iPad is the ONLY option. Portability is too important. So, what are the options for contact manager? I have hundreds of contacts that are stuck in Act on a computer. A number of years ago, I had them synced with a variety of Palm devices, but gave up trying to sync them to my last contact on my Palm Centro Sprint based phone. Getting those contacts back would be nice, but not a huge priority. Years before that, I have hundreds of contacts on my Netwon...that got orphaned that pretty much only exist in a print catalog that I still reference. The point is...I am tired of going with a system...and then loosing that system as I (we, the company, the world) swich back and forth from operating system, programs, etc. Ok, so, iPads built in contact manager...that's a dead end right? I don't want to commit to Mobile Me, even if that is an option. Does Contact sync with anything? Allow imports? What other programs are out there in App Land right now? Anything coming soon? For the last couple of months, as I have been knowing that the end of my Centro is coming soon and wanting to get a contact system going on the iPad, I have been entering contacts in a spreadsheet on Google Docs. But, compatibility with Google Docs on the iPad sucks also as I have been trying to work through that. So, what is everybody else doing that manages hundreds of contacts?

Best Task Manager Application

Oct 14, 2010

So, i am looking for the best task manager app out there. One that has this features:
*iPad app *iPhone app *Windows app! or Outlook integretion *Over the air sync (like mobile me) I have bought 2Do and the sync is awful even though is wireless sync you have to do it manually >_>! whats the point. There is a way to do it wireless but then it won't sync with Outlook. I have also try Todo (same issues). I was gonna go with Things boundle (iphone/ipad) but no over the air sync (coming soon) and only Mac app. I use a windows laptop for work and do not use my mac so much. Same for Onmifocus, only mac app. I will be using this app for Work, personal, and school. And 70% of the time, am at the office with a PC the rest at school.
