I'm trying to understand a new problem I have run into with my iPad. Recent google searches have not been able to direct me to the link given by google. Almost all results are redirected once they are clicked on. I would understand if these were some of the smaller less reputible websites but this is happening with pages like Cnet. Has anyone else run into these problems?
I'm on the iPad and do a google search using Safari. Google gives me lots of search results, but no matter which result I click on, the link takes me to a new, empty google search... shouldn't it take me to the page I clicked on? The only way to get to a search result is to manually type the results into the address bar or to copy and paste into the address bar
Not sure if this is a Safari issue, a Google issue or an iPad issue.
I installed the latest update on my ipad but now when I do a google search, click on a search result and then click the back botton to return to the results, I get a blank screen. So I have to click the back botton again and then the forward botton to get back to the results.
I am having a problem with Google searches on my iPad. If I do a search, Google will bring up the results, but I can't click on any of them, and eventually it redirects to the Google homepage. This problem happens whether I use the Google home page or the search bar. It has only started doing this today. Anyone got any ideas? (Other than using a different search engine )
This just started happening doesn't happen on my computer it's weird. I think maybe it might be google? I'm searching say "Espn Lakers blog" in google, and click the first hit which is it BUT instead of going to the site it redirects me to google.
As of last night I've been unable to access my search results page. What happened? I go to Safari and type in what I want to search, and the search results do come up; but the page doesn't completely light up, I can't scroll down the page and can't click on any of the results.
I've tested both the App version and the direct Safari version of Youtube and neither allows me to sort the search results. I would like to see the newest videos first. So when I am looking for an artist or a product I want to see the newest videos first and not the old or random ones. This is a BASIC and ESSENTIAL function.I've checked it with Youtube for iPhone and it also does not offer this possibility.
I know that to search for a word on a Safari web page on my iPad that I type the word into the url box and scroll down to choose "results on this page." But when I tap for those results, only the first result is highlighted. If the page has numerous instances of the word, what do I need to do to move to the next "hit" or get all the results highlighted instead of just one.
So I just picked up an Ipad Air, which is my first ios product ever, the app store is driving me nuts. If I search for something in store, I get a long list of different matches and I can see all these tiles with pictures, names and prices for all the apps that match my search. Great. But what if I want to go to the individual store pages for these apps and read more about them, what do I do? Tapping them doesn't work. Nothing I have tried works.
I assume I must be missing something here. Surely I can't be expected to pay for and download apps based on their names and thumbnail pics?
I just sent this feedback to apple.Does this strike anyone as a bit loony?snip! As with the iPhone.. there is no way to delete an e-mail from the search results. eg. go to your inbox.. search your inbox for a sender or subject or something.. In the results screen there's no "Edit" button to do batch deletes.. there's no way to swipe delete and when you actually click on the mail to read it the trash icon is greyed out. Why is this? It makes absolutely no sense at all.
I'm using an Ipad 3 I have safari sset to use the google search in settings but when I search for something and it shows the results page I can only select links holding my finger on the text below the link does nothing. Sometimes the answer I'm looking for is in the text and I can just copy it instead of having to click the link to see it.
Noticed with the new update, when I open a new blank safari page, and then select my bookmarks, it initially shows my recent google search history below the google bar. Then I select bookmarks once it closes the google search history list, then select bookmarks again my bookmark list then shows. Why show the google search history instead of bookmarks as I have selected?
The seach box is really annoying because it always looks like it's empty, but then I click it and I am typing text after my last search. How do you get it to clear after a seach? Why would I want to search the same thing twice?
how to zoom images on the google/safari results screen. You used to be able to just pinch and stretch like all other pages, but now it doesn't work until you click on an image.then you can zoom the single image once it loads. There are no settings on the Safari main page either.
I don't know if anyone is experiencing this issue, but when I go on Google's website on Safari, it does not allow me to search or enter anything. I type stuff in the box field, but when I hit 'search' on the pop-up keyboard or press 'search google' on the page, nothing happens. It works the first time but when you want to type something else, it doesn't allow to enter that search term.I think it may be a minor software bug or maybe Google in my local area is experiencing technical difficulties?
While doing a search on computers, one of my search results came with porn ads. I have never ever seen this happen before on the iPad or in OS X. I have all the proper setting. I was in shock for this crap to appear, especially from a google search. Anyone else had any type of ads pop up?
When I search for something on Google, the search results would appear as normal. When I clicked a link for a website, the browser just stayed on the same Google search page. It acted like it was connecting and opening the site but never went there. If I typed the address directly in the address bar the site would open. I opened some other tabs and Google search worked fine. I closed those tabs and everything then seemed to be back to normal.
I go to Google, type whatever I'm looking for, hit search and nothing happens. If I hit Feeling lucky, then I get results.I've noticed this only happens in landscape mode.If I search in portrait mode, then the Google search button works.this both on 1gen 3g and wifi that i'm having problems with.
We've just bought a new iPad 2 & live in the USA. We moved from the UK a few months ago. We synced our new iPad with a laptop that was originally purchased in the UK. Our new iPad keeps defaulting to google.co.uk & we have to manually tell it to use google.com. How can we change the search engine to default to google.com?
I have one question: something that really annoys me is that when I open a new tab in safari for ipad the search is pre selected and showing your whole history of searches. Is it possible to turn this off and when I open a new tab nothing is selected?
I do not go on safari very often but when I do I always have to type in the top search box.Is there any way to get the google search box in the middle of the screen like I use in firefox on my laptop cos I really want to start all my surfing on I-PAD instead of PC but I just cannot stand typing in the top because it just seems strange after five years of firefox and google search.
