Freezes - Touch Screen Won't Work

Has anyone else experienced freezing on he iPad? I've had it happen twice and I'm wondering if I should take it by the Genius Bar or not, or if this is a common bug. It has happened twice and it lasts roughly five minutes. The screen stays lit, but it's completely frozen. The touch screen won't work, and neither will the off/sleep button.

IPad 2 Touch Screen Unresponsive - Constantly Freezes Up
I got my ipad 2 as a present for xmas and for the past 2 weeks the touchscreen continuously freezes up. It won't let me touch anything at all. The ipad is still working as the lock button at the top works and the home button at the bottom still registers, its just the touch screen. I have held the lock and home button down to reset the ipad but when it turns back on it is still frozen. The only way it seems to work again is if I just leave it for about 2 hours or so and eventually it works again for a bit. I have also done a complete factory reset from my itunes on my computer and as soon as it restored itself and loaded all my data back on, guess what, the screen froze.

IPad 2 Drops Wi-Fi, Touch Freezes Up, And Sometimes Acts Possessed
After flawless operation since getting my iPad 2 on launch day I am now having some issues.

1. Wi-Fi will randomly drop out.
2. This causes the touch recognition to be unresponsive. Home button, power, volume buttons all fine.
3. Occasionally the iPad will then act like it is possessed and will randomly perform touch related operations.
4. This requires a reset, turning Wi-Fi Off and back on to recognize the network.
5. A few times the Wi-Fi has "Grayed Out" and requires a rest of network settings to restore it.
6. Also will cause the time on the iPad to become out of sync.

I have tried doing a restore with and without using a backup file. The wireless router apperas to be functioning fine and is used by a Laptop, two iPhones, and a DS with no issues at all. The iPad had no issues for weeks either.

Funny thing is that is seems to be happening only in the evening time. My wife uses it during the day while I am at work and she has had no problems.

What are my options here? If I can fix this that is the best thing, but if not I purchased it at Best Buy WITHOUT a protection plan. Do I need to return it to Best Buy or take it to an Apple Store (An hour and a half away)

New IOS Not Installing / Shut Down And Freezes On Apple Screen
here it goes. I received the iPad on monday night 6PM and my parents let me take it out the box to check it over, everything was great so I decided to plug it into iTunes and install iOS 4.2.1 everything went fine (download took an hour :/) but when it went to install the update, once it got to 'Preparing iPad' the iPad just shut off and froze on an apple screen and iTunes reported an "Error 21". I thought I broke it, seriously! but I tried to remedy it by using restore mode, DFU mode and various other ways of installing firmware and it just didn't work, I was stuck. But then I tried installing iOS 3.2.2 and... ERROR 21... but it just restarted and turned on like normal as if I never tried to install anything, it was in it's previous state, I was relieved! But it still refuses iOS 4.2.1 and I'm really missing out without those features, so will somebody please tell me why my iPad won't install the latest update?

Not Accepting Wifi Login/screen Freezes Or Never Connects?
I am so frustrated; at hotel, ipad picks up wifi just fine; safari opens for me to enter password and login; I enter the correct one (I've done this dozens of times and had others try too) and the screen either freezes or never connects. I've reset factory settings; turned off autofill in safari;

I've never had this problem before with any wifi connection with my iPad.

The provider is the Cloud; I'm traveling in sweden.

IPad 2 Screen Goes Black And App Freezes On Ripped Video Playback?
Got my iPad 2 today, wifi only 64GB, got everything synced up nice. Was just testing everything out and tried to play all of my videos. Purchased music videos played absolutely fine, but I also had a couple videos I ripped from a DVD. When my iPad tries to play it, the screen goes black and the app completely freezes, I cant tap once, and then tap Done to go back to all of my videos. Press the home button, force close the videos app, try to reopen the app and it comes right back to the black screen. Try a soft restart, reopen the videos app, still black. Only way to solve it is to resync with iTunes. Keep in mind, the videos play perfectly fine on my iPhone 4 and classic.

Unresponsive Touch Screen?
My iPad worked fine for a few weeks (aside from wi-fi connection issues), but now the screen is frequently unresponsive. I need to repeatedly tap, rub, hold icons for 10-15 seconds before it does anything. At first I thought I just had cold fingers, or the screen was dirty, or something else... But it's happening more and more.

(I've been an iPhone user for years, so I'm not new to touch screens. This is definitely not normal compared to an iPhone or Touch.)

Touch Screen - Self Touching
Since the second day I bought this iPad I found this problem, the iPad will just tab on the screen by it self in almost any softwares. For example it can open software, click link in browser, zoom in and zoom out in video playing. While I think that might cause by the original plastic film as I was waiting for the apple case so I left them on, but the problem is still there. It does not happen often but it is really annoying when I am browser it just start to tap things like crazy, and I have to restart iPad or let it sleep for a while to bring it back to normal.

Unable To Touch Any Part Of Screen?
The touch screen is almost unuseable when trying to make flight reservations on Southwest Airlines. It becomes jumpy and you have to take extra precautions not to touch any other part of the screen or another page will suddenly pop up. The processor is probably under powered for this type of situation.

Touch Screen Sensitivity For Different Apps
I've noticed a wide range of touch screen sensitivity from one app to another. For example, the New York Times app is exquisitely sensitive to the slightest pressure applied to the screen. But with other apps I sometimes almost have to poke at the screen in order to get a page to load. Is this a function of the quality of the individual apps? Or is there any underlying hardware issue? Thanks in advance.

Multitasking Methods - Touch Screen
I was on the iPad browser today and noticed how easily you could zoom far out of the page.It seems like a great way multitasking could be implemented, except at some point the whole safari browser would be zoomed out of, not just the page. I am no graphic designer but heres a cheap step by step of how it would work to give you an idea. I dont know if this has already been thought of but it just seems like the most natural way to do it in my opinion, double tapping the home button or whatever seems kinda wonky when you got this wonderful touch screen to manipulate.

Way To Block Touch Screen Input
As any of you with kids have probably figured out, kids love touching and playing with the iPad and it's a great device for watching cartoons and kids' shows. However, if your kids are young enough, they probably can't keep their hands off the screen long enough to make it through an entire cartoon. Is there any App, hack, 3rd-party or otherwise, that I could install to somehow lock or block the touch screen input and/or buttons while a video is playing so that I could leave it in my kid's hands with a cartoon playing without him shutting it off?

Touch Fatigue - Across The Screen Notebook
Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)I am still on the fence about getting an iPad, but I have spent a decent amount of time playing with one on a couple of different occasions.

One thing that has occurred to me while test driving is that the iPad requires a considerable amount of hand travel across the screen in comparison to a notebook with a touchpad. I wonder if this would get old in practice. While in bed, I rest my Macbook on my stomach, propped up vertically, supporting it with my left hand while navigating the touchpad with my right hand. Being that the touchpad is small and close to the "bottom" of the computer while propped up vertically, I can rest my arms comfortably and perform the majority of tasks within a 3" area of the touchpad.

Certain Area On The Screen Is Dead To Touch?
I'm having a problem with the screen sensitivity on my iPad. There seems to be a certain area on the screen that is dead to the touch. When I try to file up or down in that area it won't work. But if I move over a bit, my touch is then recognized. Sometimes the screen recognizes a down movement but not an up movement. I've checked to make sure the screen is clean and have done a hard reset, which doesn't seem to help. But in writing this, I've found no dead spots. It only seems to be fileing up or down.
