My boss handed over his iPad and asked me to drop a pin at each of the 9 locations he will be visiting while on a business trip. I have the map app but only on my iphone and am certainly not this well versed on it. How do I drop multiple pins and then how can I link them together for directions? Information : Mac Book iPAD.
Is it possible to drop multiple pins or preset locations for contacts and businesses in the map app?For an upcoming trip I would like to enter sites we will be visiting, but don't expect to use 3G service.
I am curious why more of a stink is not being raised about the sketchy Wifi found on the ipads? I have many devices connected to my wireless router among them two Mac books, an iPod touch, a G1, blackberry, Wii, Ps3, and a printer, so at this point I feel confidant I have mastered the art of connecting to Wifi. Why does Apple have the audacity to suggest router issues or many of the other user unfriendly ideas to fix the Ipad connection issues? Further more why when I receive multiple "drop" messages during use does it fix the drop if I switch airplane mode on then off if it is a router issue? I have a hard time believing that everyone else is ok dropping just under $800 for this sub par piece of electronics and receiving half truths as to the real issues and hopefully fixes to this problem. I have multiple MacBooks, an iPod nano, iPod touch, and now an ipad so I feel I am a loyal customer and ask Apple to please reward my loyalty with an honest fix to this problem.
Recently bought an apple I-pad 2 (32- WiFi only) Note that when I use Maps app my current location when at home is shown as somewhere in USA and not in Milton Keynes. Have been on to Apple support and done resets to no avail. Visited the Apple store in Milton Keynes as well and their solution was they thought there could be a problem with the IP address being set?? for the USA. Have checked this and it seems ok and set in the uk. (The current location worked ok in their store).
I can not get the location service to work on any application including Maps. It works perfectly with both iTouches we have in the house. I have no issues with WiFi connectivity either. That works great. I've tried 2 different WiFi hotspots with no luck.Information :iPad,iPhone OS 3.1.3.
I have an iPad 2.Apple recently released iOS6 udpate so I installed this update but Now i am not happy with this update as there is no Google Map and Youtube Application. While installing updates, I haven't received any error message so I don't think I have done anything wrong. Is there anyone who had faced the same issue? Is there any way to get these two Apps?
I tried to search for this, but guess I couldn't phrase it right in the search I know it is possible to sync multiple devices with iTunes, but is there any thing I should be aware of. I have always synced both my 80gb iPod Video and my iPod Touch and never had any problems. But, not with the iPad will there be any issues. I am concerned about the Apps mostly. If and app is specifically for the iPad will that cause any problem when I sync my iPod Touch? If there are two different versions of an App (iPod and iPad) will I end up with both versions on my iPad if I have purchased both? Not sure if there is anything else that could cause problems, but just wanted to check with the "experts"
I'm looking for a good app on the Ipad to plan a future trip abroad.Technically I would like to do something similar to the desktop version of google maps: search for places, place pins and add comments and notes on the map for future reference, create itineraries and so on.Unfortunately, the ipad version of google maps doesn't allow to create custom maps with pins, but only allow to create bookmarks, which is not as interesting in this case.I looked for a few apps but could only find some allowing geotagging notes, and not placing notes on a map.
Is there a way to save maps to use offline either on apple maps or Google maps? I dont have the cellular model and also each time even on wifi, the app says cannot find location and is not able to find current location
iam unable to connect to itunes with the use of a usb cable. when i took my ipad to the apple store they said it had a couple of bent pins and also some water damage. how can they tell this the water damage that is,as it work fine apart from the itunes issue. and they would do no more checks ???
I would like to be able to use my 3G iPad for taking a road trip without activating 3G. Does anyone know of an iPad or iPhone app that will enable the downloading of maps that I can then use with the ipads gps to track my location? I know that I can access google maps and pan around and the iPad will store some of the maps, but after a few miles of driving, I "go off the grid" and the map disappears and I just appear as a blue dot in the middle of a gray sea.l
I thought the maps app was getting its information from google. My house doens't show up on the maps app where as it does on google maps. My house is in a newer community. Anyone know if these are different sources of information?
I Work for a small private school that uses PDF ebooks in some of it's classes. The problem is, we have no way of loading the files on students iPads. They belong to individual student and we do not want to sync them with our computers. Is there s software produce that will load our files into iBooks or similar app so they can read them?
Can my devices (a 2G iPod Touch and a WiFi only 64GB iPad) be synced up to multiple computers, with my main library placed on each of these computers. And if so, can these Libraries be continually updated with regards to one another through the internet (or at least through my home network). By this I mean, if I make a purchase on one of them, will the other Libraries be updated and get this purchase.
My husband got me an iPad for my birthday. He purchased some apps using his Apple account from our home computer. I then hooked up the iPad from my work computer and purchased additional apps. Now, when I sync them, I lost all the apps that he bought for me.Is it just a simple thing as Authorizing our computers for both accounts, so apps purchased by both of us can be on my iPad?
I'm a complete noob when it comes to Apple hardware to iTunes account software and how they interact with each other and the pc/pc's where iTunes resides. With two iPad's coming in the not so distant future, I need to get a handle on what I can and can't do, so I can set up our respective household iPad's appropriately. I'll try to make this as non-convoluted as I can...I appreciate your patience with me! Okay, so I just bought two iPad's. One of which will be mine, the other my wife's. My wife has an iTunes account, but with just music on it. I don't have an iTunes account.
