I down loaded some iPad software from iTunes on my desktop on the office. My iPad will be arriving there on Monday. What if I wanted to set up my iPad at home on my authorized iTunes desktop. I do not see the software that I downloaded. Can I only transfer this software to my iPad with my office desktop where it was downloaded or is there a way I could do it at home without buying the software again.
Setting Up Credit Card Information In ITunes Into ‘None For Downloading Free Apps From ITunes Store Into IPad 2
Oct 15, 2012
As the iTunes Store is not available in India, I am planning to set up an iTunes account of another country for downloading useful apps into my iPad 2. But, I dont want to enter the credit card information while creating the account as I prefer only free apps. Is it possible to set the information as ‘None in iTunes?
I'm debating getting my parents an ipad for christmas. They live half the year in Mexico but have an itunes account based on their US address. Will they be able to download books/apps/games in Mexico? They can't stream U.S. tv or nextflix to a computer based on their location and I'm worried that if I buy them an ipad, all they will be able to do is surf the internet.
Is there a way to download iOS updates for my iPAD other than through iTunes? I have access at home only to dial-up (yes, there are still some of us) and I can;t plug my iPAD into my work computer because it is a government machine. However, if I could download the iOS update directly I could do so at work and transfer it to a thumbdrive for transfer to my home machine.

I'm getting the notice from iTunes that I'm running 4.3.1 and 4.3.2 is available. What the heck..., why not upgrade? But every time, for the past three days, no matter what time of day I try, I'm getting an error.
It gets to 621.0 MB of 621.1 MB, pauses for a good chunk of time, and then I get this error (see attached screenshot -- basically "the network connection timed out") and the item in the Downloads screen displays "zero KB of 621.1 MB - stopped (err = -3259). 'Sup with that?
I'm on a Windows 7 x64 PC, running iTunes 10.2.1.1. I've had no issues downloading and installing many, many apps since getting my iPad.
Is the iTunes for iPad only for downloading? I am apparently not doing something right. I was hoping it would work as on my computers. But it doesn't react at all the same.
I just received an email telling me that I have 2 shows available for download from iTunes. My problem is, I can't figure out how to download them directly to my iPad? Message was edited by: Jemago Information:
Is there any advantage to downloading apps while in iTunes or just downloading them straight into the iPad without iTunes being opened? I've been downloading apps solely from the iPad. After a few days though I do sync the iPad with iTunes. Thanks for a reply 

I am currently on a great signal, and I'm trying to download a movie rental to my iPad from iTunes and it is SO SLOW. It's estimating something like 108 mins to finish, which is just awful. The downloads I have done on my desktop are not this slow, so what is the deal with doing it directly on the iPad?
Downloading Storing Movies That Are Not From ITunes ?
Apr 9, 2010
Just wondering if there is anyway to get movies on the iPad witout using iTunes. I download from Limewire to my laptop - can they be transfered into iTunes and onto the iPad from there?
So I could never get my itunes to fully download 4.2 (kept timing out, and you can't resume once it times out). So I got it off the internet from what I thought was a legit source.
It turned out to be a beta and now expired! However, I now need to download the legit one as my itunes has stopped functioning. Where can I get that?
Failed To Downloading And Installing IOS 4.2 Through ITunes?
Nov 26, 2010
I've tried downloading and installing IOS 4.2 trough ITunes to my IPad Wifi 3G 64 GB, but it always failed. Could someone tell me how to do it? The error message said that it took too long to download IOS 4.2 (12 Minutes) and the server has denied the action.

I bought an ipad in order to download podcasts while at work without having to sync with itunes and then listen with my stereo bluetooth headset.
However, (when using the ipad) I will go to itunes store, and then go to podcasts section, and either click on the title, or on the "free" button, and either way it will do nothing, when it should show the description of the podcast, and the free button should turn into a download button. Finally, after clicking on stuff a couple times, instead of showing the description, or giving a download button, it will simply crash and go back to the home screen.
I have the ipad software up to date, and have done a full restore. It doesn't do this with every podcast, but probably half of them.
