I have two iPads that we need to put a PPT presentation on and then we are giving them to the client to keep. I am going to start the iPads off by setting them up with our office iTunes (without syncing anything) so that you can get to the home screen. My question is, how can I go about paying for and downloading the Microsoft Office App (or whatever it called) and not have future purchases made by the client hit the credit card we used to buy the Apps? Is it as simple as buying the Apps and then removing the credit card from the account? Does there always have to be at least one credit card on the account, or if there is no card on the account, does it just prevent you from making purchases.
What do you use to view and edit Microsoft Office documents on your iPads? I assume Pages can deal with Word docs, but what about Powerpoint, Excel, and Publisher files? Do you all use Google Docs, Microsoft Office Online, Zoho, or some other service? My 3 requirements for the iPad are:Insane battery life Ability to view/edit PDFs greater than 500 pages (iAnnotate) Ability to view/edit Microsoft Office documents 2 out of those 3 are already sorted.
When I first turned the iPad on, I did not Sync the applications. It is possible to go back and sync the Microsoft office from my iMac? And how do you do that > - I can't find it and it doesn't drag over.
I know nothing about IPads and have questions...Can you use Media Player on the IPad?Does Microsoft Word & Excel download easily? Can you edit these documents on IPad or are they read only? Can you download PDF files easily? Also can you used Microsoft Outlook and how easy it is to use the calendar, contacts, is this easy to edit???
I used the exchange server for my work and after having logged off, I closed the window but suddenly changed my mind, re-typed the server URL and hit go. Surprisingly I was in automatically without needs of re-entering username and pw.
I am a new iPad owner. I have a Wifi/AT&T 3G, 16gb device that was purchased to be used in a pilot for our organization. The pilot includes about 15 others in IT, Administration, Workforce and Emergency Preparedness. We are a regional governmental agency. Our organization, from an IT perspective, is a heavy Microsoft user. In addition to the normal products (Office, Windows, SQL Server), we also use SharePoint and Microsoft CRM. From what I've learned in the 1st week, I suspect my searches/questions/comments will be centered around how to use the iPad in a Microsoft environment that takes full advantage of the Microsoft software.
I am having issues with Microsoft Excel worksheets. When I get it as an email on my ipad it will show up with muliple worksheets and tabs at the top of the page. If I then put this document in Documents to Go and sync, it then shows up on my ipad with only 1 worksheet when there may be multiple worksheets. Why is this? Can anyone help with this?
