Don't mean to be a troll here, but not all is wine and roses with my own iPad experience.I was loving my new iPad until, about 5 hours after delivery, a display glitch raised it's ugly head. I now have a thin blue line running vertically across the lower 5th of my display.I've restored to factory defaults...glitch still persists. Searching for troubleshooting notes now that may be helpful, but it's looking like a Monday trip to the Genius Bar.So now I'm a little worried about hardware reliability...
I have a 32GB 3G Wifi Ipad and an apple case. I installed a Zagg shield over the glass. Its been there for about a month. I noticed though that there is now a faint blue "haze" over the left side (power/home button at the bottom). At first I thought it was just the shield. But when I close the case, the little flap aligns perfectly with the blue line thingy. So it looks like the case discolored the shield a bit.
I preordered the 16GB white wi-fi only new iPad, and it arrived last friday at 11am, and it was PERFECT! Screen was amazing, no dead pixels, and no yellow tint, and no backlight bleeding either! it was great! UNTIL TONIGHT, I looked at my iPad after setting it down (in a case) on my table, and when examining it, there is a line that goes down the screen vertically, and left me wondering... WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED! I thought I was lucky to not have any of those problems but I guess I jinxed myself and now I am at a loss. I backed it up and set up a Genius Bar appointment tomorrow night, but really, what is going on? I haven't been rough on it at all, and haven't taken it out of a book style case since I got it friday.
I had a purple line going across my screen and I read somewhere it is a hardware issue. I was going to bring it to Apple first thing when I return from vacation. Today a thicker blue line started flickering to the left of my screen and it totally froze. I tried turning it off and it did not work. The battery eventually died. I plugged it in and iTunes does not recognize it.I have NOT tried a hard reset yet because I downloaded apps here that I never synched to my computer. Will I loose these apps? If it were one App or 2 I would not mind but I spent at least 25 dollars since being on vacation.
I got my iPad a couple if days ago and it has developed a blue line going across the bottom of the screen, just above the home button. I has read about this problem but mine seems slightly different, in that the line only shows when it's against a black background, against any other colour it isn't visible, so it's not a dead pixel or pixels. I have done a restore and it worked for about ten minutes but it has came back now.Is there any other solution I could try or is it back to the shop for me? Information:Lenovo iPhone OS 3.1.2
I have been using my 64 gb iPad foe about an hour. After 45 minutes a blue line appeared about a half inch from the top of the screen. It is a pixel wide and runs the entire width of the screen. I have turned it off and on but it's still there. I live the machine but I can't live with this major distraction. Is anyone out there having the same problem?
My ipad 3g display has a black line in the center of the display has try everything but the black line still there. And have mail it back to the state and hope they can find out what is wrong with it. I am in Iarq.
Suddenly my iPad is not responding as before. It is acting like a regular desktop window manager! Now, when I touch an app icon, the icon is selected. A thin line appear around the icon, like it would be on a normal desktop window manager. Then to launch the app I have to double click. The strange thing is that even if I double click somewhere else, it's the selected app that is launched. It's exactly the same for the virtual keyboard. One click select the key, two clicks (anywhere) press the key.If I swipe one finger left, the icon to the left is selected (and vis-versa).What the ****? Is this a secret features I have somehow activated? Is there any simple way to go back to the good-ol' multitouch interface? I have tried to shut down and reboot the ipad (home-click+power 5sec). Nothing works.
I'd like to record some DJ sessions and live concerts. Can you run a line in into the iPad (from the output of a mixer)? So far the apps I've seen only record from the built in mic. Also is there an app that let's you stream recordings live or at all for that matter?
I just opened my iPod. For the first hour it worked fine. After an hour of use, I got a line of pixels along the left and side that have completely failed. Seemingly completely randomly (no physical trauma). AAAAHHHH!!!! So disappointing and frustrating! Apple Support: I just landed in Singapore on a 3 week business trip. Can we arrange a swap via FedEx? I don't wish to wait 3 weeks to replace this. Plus, I was about to show it off to everyone DROOLING to see it, but now I dont wish to.
I'm looking for a way to take a "hard line" video input and display that in the iPad. Also, having the ability to record and playback that footage for future reference. BTW, I know I can do it with my MacBook. I'm just hoping there is a way to do it with the iPad.
I picked up this satchel for my Ipad. it fits perfectly with a bit more space for a maybe the charger.looks kinda fancy, costs more than the Ipad itself, but it looks good.the Ipad won't fit in vertically because it's too long wont zip up, but horizontally it fits perfectly.I needed something for when I want to take just my ipad to meetings or out to a cafe. I didn't want to use my brief case, which is too heavy, and I only carry that around when I'm wearing a suit. this is a bit more dress casual, which is what I needed.
I have been using Numbers on my IPad for Spreadsheets. When I open Numbers I have to horizontally scroll to see all the spreadsheets I have. Is there a way to view a list vertically instead of moving horizontally?
Some downloaded apps are oriented sideways, because my iPad is sideways in my Zaggfolio keyboard case, and I cannot find any way to rotate the apps so they are vertical when my iPad is horizontal in my Zaggfolio case. I sent a question to the app developers and one of them responded that I had asked a good question and they would consider it on their next update. Does that mean that I have to remove my iPad from my keyoard case every time I want to use those apps. This issue is only happening on some apps. Also, my iPad is not in the locked position.
I just got my iPad2 (had a iPad from launch) and while I'm very happy with it, the camera (front facing) does bother me a little. It seems it's at a pretty weird angle. I need to hold the iPad almost perfect vertical to myself to get my picture in view to do facetime chats. It would feel more natural to be able to hold the iPad at a (very) slight angle but the way I need to hold it right now, I'm almost looking down at the screen from the top. Is this normal?
Recently, the Facebook app on my iPad (1st Gen) started to open vertically, even though my iPad is locked horizontally. It is the only app that does this. I didn't notice if it happened after an update, either to Facebook, or to iOS, lthough I don't think I have had an update to iOS recently.
I don't own an iPad, but I have noticed that the iPad is missing applications that my iPod Touch has.Clock - I can't have a timer on my iPad now? Voice Memos - Okay, i've got my Apple Remote Headphones w. mic and iPad - but I can't record sound...riight And what's the point having an iPod app AND a videos app? Like, what-the
I have been on this ipad board ever since I bought an ipad back in june. I currently have a sleeve and the apple case for my ipad. I truly hate the apple case and never use it. I am looking for a thin case that has a typing position. That is really all I am looking for. I saw the booq case and fell in love with it but I heard it wears easily and is overall not that good of a case.
