Am not able to see the To or Cc display in email. Consequently, can't tell if I am the action or info addee, let alone the other addees. Have checked the Mail Settings app for 'Show To/Cc Label'. The label is flipped to "ON." Is there another step that needs to be done to see To/Cc? Information : iPad Other OS Version 3.2.1

I am not getting the option for sending files from my iPad's Skype.
View 1 RepliesAll of a sudden my mail services are failing, I have one exchange account and three pop accounts, none of which I can mail from now, they receive ok but will not send. I have tried two broadband connections, work and home, both of which I control and both of which work happily with the mail accounts on my PC's where the iPad won't. The mail just disappears, no 'whoosh' no fail message no copy to try again with.

If I send email from the Ipad at home using my own Wifi it goes immediately with no problems but if I try to send from my mates when I'm away it won't send and flags up an error message something like "smtp server not available"
View 5 RepliesWhen I sendan email without a subject, I get a pop up that asks if I really want to send it. It's annoying and I can't find a way to turn it off. In Windows there is a little box to check that says never ask me again, but there's no such box here and I can't find anything in settings to turn it off. This only started happening when I upgraded to OS 5.1. Any suggestions on how to get it to stop asking me if I want to send the email without a subject. If I'd wanted a subject, I would have put one in.

I cannot print emails before sending them. The little print icon to print is not there. I even saved an email as a draft, and that did not work either. Is it even possible to print an email before you send it, or do you have to wait until it shows up as a "sent" email?

Should I send them, because I have a choice, PDF or Doc? What is the difference? I have been sending them Doc, but sometimes they tell me on my desktop " I'm sorry, there is no application to open this file with". When it says that I have to go through all these back doors to get that file open that I needed right away.Not only with the iPad, but my office will email me a document for court and i will open it on my desktop and it states it is a DOC file and I have to save it, then I can not find it that puppy, then I DO find it, and right click and it opens in Word.
View 11 RepliesI have a 32gb 3G iPad. I have my gmail account setup in the Mail application. I can receive my mail but when I try and send mail it says there is an error with the smtp server. I have check multiple boards and have found no way of fixing it. I have gone into my gmail settings and they look right. I am unable to alter any of the smtp server info, it is grayed out. I setup the account on my iPad, not through syncing.

View 8 RepliesEvery year I shave my head for a charity called St. Baldrick's. I raise money and then send pictures to all the people who donate to me shaving my head. I was wondering if there was a way to send a group of people an email with attachments in automator. Not only this but something special. Many email programs will mark something as spam if it is send to more then four people at a time. I would like to have an action or something in automator so that I can specify who to send it to and then have them sent as individual messages. This can be a real pain even if I were to copy and paste stuff. Is there a way to make my life easier so this doesn't take up so much time?

View 24 RepliesI just noticed that my gmail push account that's set up with exchange on the ipad does not use the name specified in my google settings on the google website nor does it allow me to specify a name to use when configuring on the ipad -- but it use the default email account name from my mobile me account. Here's what I'm seeing, lets say my professional email address is "John Doe <john.doe@me.com>" on my mobileme account and my pseudonym for my gmail account, that is set as the name to send from on google settings page, that I use for boards and forums is "The Gamer <thegamer@gmail.com>" When I send an email from the ipad using my google exchange account, the "from" shows "John Doe <thegamer@gmail.com>" as opposed to "The Gamer <thegamer@gmail.com>"

The first indication is no 'swith' sound on send action.Second indication is email in her account on my ipad.So I finally came across the setting account tab and turned off the account email. I do not want to delete the account.On two tries still no swithing sound. Last try was after rebooting ipad with red slider.

I received an email with 4 PDF files attached. 3 of them displayed as a PDF icon, but one fully displayed in the email. This prevented me from sending it to iBooks (which is very useful). It could be that the displayed one was only one page (the others were more than 1 page). My question is how do I get the displayed pdf file to ibooks?
