When I tried to download apps using 3G connection, iPad2 prompted that app is more than 20mb and asked to use wifi. I am traveling and will not have access to wifi for a while. For now these apps stay at message 'loading' and are not letting me delete the apps. The delete icon does not appear for these apps. The prompt for switching to wifi keeps coming frequently and is annoying.

View 1 RepliesI keep getting "Incomplete Backup" to iCloud on both my iPad and iPhone.
I've gone through all the recommended procedures, shut down auto backup on both, and restarted it on both, deleted the backups on my my iCloud account using iCloud on my PC, made sure the WiFi (8Mbit) was working and the iPhone and iPad were locked and plugged into the chargers.
Plugged in my iPad to my Macbook yesterday to charge it up and got a message saying there was a software update. I accepted and the software install hangs when about 95% complete. Tried it about 6 times now always the same result.
The restore function doesn't work as the only option you can select is restore and update software and it seems to be the latest software that is hanging.

I'm thankful to those who've pointed out that the shuffle function is available in the iPod app on the iPad. But not a whole lot of folks are pointing out that it is a very limited function that really cripples the music capabilities of this otherwise fantastic device.
You really only have the option of shuffling 1) your entire music collection, or 2) an individual album. We need the ability to also shuffle genres and artists! The last thing I want is to be enjoying some Ella Fitzgerald and then have it switch to Slayer. I want to be able to shuffle one genre at a time...whatever I'm in the mood for. Or I'd like to listen to my entire collection of one artist, but not in album order.
I don't think this is too much to ask. I really hope they make this change in a future version of the iPod app.

This has to be some kind of sick joke. Since April I've downloaded all sorts of apps on my ipad. By my count based on my itunes receipts, I've downloaded 253. When I look on the Itunes library it shows 96 apps on there. What happened to the other 158?Mostly it wasn't a big deal because they were either on my ipad or deleted. Recently though I've gone past the max limit and have to use the spotlight to find apps as if I can remember the names of 200 apps many of which I haven't had time to try yet. Plus if a good one is off the screens I can't move it.So to make a long story short I sync my ipad up so I could organize them and bam half my apps just disappear along with all their data. What the F? I did the transfer purchases to no avail. Now I don't have any way of seeing a complete list of the apps I've downloaded. So now do I really have to look through my receipts to find them all and do an individual search and download on 100+ apps?
Itunes is a joke. Why is it so **** hard for the apps library to show me a complete list of my apps? Is that really too much to ask for?I love my ipad but I gotta say apple does some really asinine stuff. Information:

View 1 RepliesA couple of nights ago, email stopped working on iPad. The email application appears to be checking for new mail, but it never completes the process. I tried to go into mail, contacts, calendar settings, but when I select it, the settings application freezes. I can force it to quit, but trying it again produces the same result. I have performed a hard reset. No difference. Only one email account. It is an Exchange server. I have tried with and without iCloud active. Same result. I have upgraded from 4.3.5 to 5.1. Problem still exists.

I have photos on my Camera Roll that I have copied across to new albums - easy to set up new albums on IPad with IOS5.
When I then go to delete the photos from Camera Roll I get a message in a red box that says DELETE EVERYWHERE. I only want to delete from Camera Roll not from albums. How do I do this?
I have just updated my iPad today. Because in New Zealand we have such pitiful internet speeds and connections I had a number of issues with trying to update to the new IOS on my iPad ( from 4. something). It kept giving me a time out message.( by the way I have a PC running windows 7). So I downloaded the update and installed it manually. All looked fine, but when I started the iPad I had to go through the set up and at the end it gave me a message saying "Set up incomplete" with 2 options with the buttons Start Over and Continue, which do not take me any further.

I work on a PC with Windows 7 and have the iPAD. I want to download pdf files and then manage them within GoodReader. Can I do this with just my USB connection? If so, when I drag and drop, to what folder do I drop too? Is there a better App to do this with?

Eventually(when its 0 min left) it's interrupted showing a window saying that I have exceeded the time allowed or 1 download and an error # like - 3225 or something...I've tried 3 or 4 times...My conn speed is - Downl 3028 Kb/s, Upld 1743 Kb.PS Does iOS4 really deserve such efforts ?

I just got my 64 gb iPad 3G and when tried to update some of my apps it said "app over 20mb please connect to a wifi network or update application on your computer with iTunes" or something along those lines. I signed up for the unlimited data plan with AT&T and I just would like to know why there is this storage cap when I am paying $30 a month for Internet on my iPad.
