I generally use some very good passwords. Not something you can remember, so I generally do a copy-paste from Keychain (unless Keychain automatically fills it in). I can copy a password, but on iPad I don't see a way to paste into password boxes.
I just wanted to copy a paragraph from this forum via copy and paste, just as I do with a pc. I think that I have found out how to copy, but I had nowhere to paste it to. There's no paste button within the notes ap -- at least I couldn't find one!
There is no "tab" button on the iphone or ipad keyboard. I would like to enter text into Notes separated by a tab function so I could then copy & paste that information directly into a spreadsheet. Any ideas or workarounds? It would be nice if a "tab" button was added to the keyboard.
is there a PDF reader that I can use to read iBooks and then be able to copy and paste certain sections? I have PDF reader pro but it does not have the copy/paste feature and I'm not able to find anything else suitable.

Copy n paste works fine on regular HTML pages, but I cannot select multiple words in text files like those common on gamefaqs.com ( see link below for an example ). I can select a single word, but whenever I try to drag the delimiters to select multiple words, it fails.
If I go to the admin of VB and copy or cut a IP of a user and then go to paste it to look up that IP nothing happens. Is this a bug just with VB? If I open up "notes" it will paste just fine.
By the way I have a friend of mine that created imaging software for the medical field and he had his tech open up the ipad and install a 500gig drive in it. I haven't seen it but I have no reason not to believe him.
Using a browser called Puffin because others like Safari and Perfect Browser crash when I visit an Air Canada web site to get flight plans for work.
Can anyone tell me how to copy and paste with this browser? Unlike Safari, I cant just touch the screen and have the copy function pop up. Need to copy flight plan from the screen to then paste into a pdf maker to store and annotate as flight is prepared and actioned.
I'm a member of a few car forums. Many times I post pictures in the thread. I go to my Photobucket page and copy the link and then go to the forum thread and paste the link for the picture to post. That's how I do it on my dest top computer. I don't know how to do that on the iPad. Is there any way to copy a link and then be able to paste?
When preparing presentations (in Keynote or PPT) I often need to copy selections (graphics, not text) from PDFs and paste them into Keynote/PPT. So far I'm still looking for a PDF reader for iPad that lets me do that. Some allow you to copy text, but I'm still looking for one doing that for graphics. My questions are: (1) Does anyone know whether you can copy-paste in principle from another application into Keynote on iPad? I think it should be possible, but you never know.(2) What PDF reader would be able to do that (if any)?Information:Mac Pro, Macbook Pro, Powerbook G4, iPad iPhone OS 3.1.3.
Is there a way to copy a page from a website using the IPad? I can't figure it out. I'm trying to go to my website and want to copy one of the pages there to send to someone, but when I put my finger on the page I don't get the usual "copy, paste, select all, select," I get nothing. Is there a way to do this?

I use to be all to be looking at a web page and select all, copy, and then paste the URL in an email on my iPad. When I do it now when I paste nothing shows up. How can I copy and then paste URL in my email.
I go laterr in the document, select another paragraph, and look for a Paste Style command. Frequently, perhaps usually, it is there and works. Other times, for no discernible reason, it simply does not and will not. All I can do is Copy Style for that new paragraph, and nothing seems to work to enable the paste style function.
My issue surrounds the search for a foreign dictionary lookup when reading. My old Treo had a great system for dictionary call. Bluefire claims to have a copy control on the iPad but I cannot get anything but a Bookmark popup. Anyone out there get it to work? The iFlow also reads Adobe DRAM files but is not alloweed to open my Italian books, only Bluefire. IFlow does a dictionary call of sorts. Anyone know how to load files stored on the iPad into another reader like iFlow.
When I tap and hold to select some text, often, it selects a huge block and I can't find a way to select just one word in that block - yes, sometimes dragging the handles lets me go into the specific word selection, but 80% of the time it doesn't. I just read the thread on two finger scrolling, and that guy does deserve an award thinking about that, has apple done something similary inventive with copy and paste?
I want to transfer images via email to my friend(Please note I am not talking about sharing Photos on Social Networking Sites) using my iPad. How can I copy images to Email app on my iPad in order to send email with image to my friend?
Is there a way of doing key board shortcuts; cut, paste and copy with the iPad inbuilt keyboard without pointing at type and using the slower interface system? Ref ......Control v control c control x control z etc
I've just got my iPad and liking it a lot. I used to use a dell mini as my web looking and such, and I've upgraded to a iPad. As well as looking on the web, I would copy and paste xbox 360 game information .
so I can look it up when needed, and then edit it when I didn't need it. The problem I'm having is I can't seam to do it on the iPad. When I copy something all I get back when I paste is text, or I download the page I can't edit it in anyway. So does anyone know a way or a program I can copy paste words and pictures, download the web page but able to edit it someway?
I do a blog and on occasion I quote from the NY Times always with a link. While I can copy and paste these snippets without difficulty with my IMAC my IPAD seems to have difficulty selecting text on certain sites. Is this an IPAD problem or is the NY Times And other sites blocking this type (touch to select) copy-paste?
I am trying to build my schedule on calendars with my iPad. I would like to put in my work schedule but I don't work the same days every week. I am looking for a way to copy paste/duplicate entries so I don't have to keep inputting them. Because I don't work the same days each week/month I can't use the repeat feature. I have tried a long press to copy and paste but it moves the whole event and doesn't duplicate it. Is there a way to do this? I have found that I can do this on my Macbook Pro in iCal and then it updates the iPad through iCloud but I would like to do it with my iPad because I have the iPad and iPhone with me all the time and the Macbook stays at home.
Could somebody tell me if there's a trick to copy & paste? Say if I'm on a website that has a web address I want to go to, but it's not linked, is there a trick to copying the address to paste in the address line? All I can seem to do is copy one word at a time.
Could someone please tell me how to export or copy (for pasting) to an excel spreadsheet? I can't seem to be able to do either. Here's what I've done so far:After ensuring that I've got copies of my iPad purchased/downloaded apps on iTunes on my PC (by right-clicking on the iPad icon in the library and selecting "Transfer Purchases"), I then can see the entire list by selecting Library/Apps. Two things I've tried are:1. Menu/Edit/Select All. Unfortunately the 'copy' command on that same menu is greyed out for some reason. 2. Menu/File/Library/Export Library... Anything I've read on this says that I should be able to export to a text file. Unfortunately, the only option I'm given is to export as an .xml file, which is unreadable in that form by Excel. I am using iTunes version 10, so maybe I lost the ability to export to text when I upgraded, I don't know.In any case, I'd like to be able to get my current list of ipad apps onto my excel spreadsheet so that I can keep track of other things that aren't available to me from within the iTunes program.
