Clock Is Always Wrong?
Jan 23, 2011Always like 4 mins fast.
View 25 RepliesAlways like 4 mins fast.
View 25 RepliesI noticed that my clock was set at the wrong time on my iPad, 4th generation wifi only, after jailbreaking this afternoon. The minutes were correct, but the hours were seemingly on GMT. I checked in Settings -> General -> Date & Time and it was set for automatic. I checked maps and my current location is correct, so GPS is working.
To get it set correctly I went for manually and chose the correct time zone, then set the hours. I didn't have this problem on my iPhone.
I installed I've only installed iconoclasm, infinidock and sbsettings. I don't think any of those would have monkeyed with the time. how to get the time to be automatically set again? Perhaps the time servers are being hit extra hard right now?
I didn't realize how much I used the clock feature, especially for sleep timer, alarms, multiple clocks. The ones I've downloaded, free and fee, shut off when i do other things. Please help this old lady with all your knowledge.
View 1 RepliesI have this app gravity clock that I use as my alarm since someone at apple had the great idea of leaving the clock.app out. So normally I set the alarm and turn off the screen, but I am really loving the clock itself. So I wanna put in the charger cable, open the app and have the gravity clock showing all night long, every single night. Will this drastically mess up the ipad's battery, or should I be fine having it on during night 365 days a year (well, that's only for one year since I'm buying the new iPad next summer hehe).
View 24 RepliesI would like to use my iPad as a bedside clock, I am worried about causing damage to the screen by having it on all night. Does anyone know any details on this? Information : Mac OS X (10.5).
View 11 RepliesI went to set up the alarms on my iPad but I couldn't find the clock app. Is there any way to move the clock app from my iPhone into my iPad?
It is asinine to not have the same BASIC apps on the iPad as on the iPhone. EVERY version of the iOS has this functionality except 3.2.
Information:
Active: iMac (G5, G4), PB G4, iPad, iPhone, iPod, MP2100 Retired: iMac G3, A2c
Mac OS X (10.5.8)
Mac OS 10.4.11, Mac OS 9.2.2, iOS 4.0/3.2, Newton OS 2.1
This may seem like an odd request, but I've been using my iPad to take notes, and in two hour long classes, it's distracting and depressing to see what the time is. I've not found a way to turn it off in the settings.

Where is the clock App. More than ever I could use this right now as I am in Ohio and my wife is in Sydney, Australia.
Did Apple forget to include this, seems very odd that it doesn't exist.

I got my 3G on April 30th. The first week, I had one (maybe two) issues with the clock being way off. Syncing to my Mac corrected those. I never had another issue until this past week.
It almost appears that, when the device is locked, the clock stops ticking. If I reboot the device with networking enabled, I get the right time. If I reboot it with networking off, the clock will be 5-15 minutes slow suggesting that the hardware clock loses time.

Mac OS X (10.6.4)
iPod touch (OS 3.1.3), iPad 3G (OS 3.2)
I mentioned this earlier but thought it was worth bringing up again. If no stock clock app is included with the iPad there will be no way of setting alarms that can run in the background. I routinely use my iPhone as an alarm clock and as a timer and was planning on doing so with the iPad. Also how would you even go about setting the time on your iPad if theres no clock app?? There are many nice clock apps on the App Store but none of them give you these features and I do not see why Apple would not include one from the start.
View 8 RepliesI have had my iPad for over a year now and since I got it the clock has been fast. I always re set the time but it doesnt take long before it is 2 or 3 minutes fast again. Not a major problem I know and it is probably just me but it is annoying.Does this happen on them all?
View 5 RepliesI need alarm clock for my iPad, but is there one that cun run on background and with display turned off?
View 4 RepliesI like idea of alarm clock app that It runs all night with rss and twiter but I'm wonderig how bad is it for iPad screen, battery, etc. Since screen is on all the time can't it damage iPad?
View 5 RepliesReally need a clock radio app for the ipad. Something that is similar to the app clock radio for the iphone. Tried to use that app on my ipad and it can't stream any of the channels. I figure there must be some compatibility issue. Bought the alarm clock app for the ipad but that doesn't allow for streaming of specific internet stations just plays from your itunes library.
View 1 Repliesapp that mimics the "Clock" app available right now in both the iPhone and iPod touch? I have been looking for one but most of them suck.... All I want is an app where i can check the world clock, set an alarm and maybe have both a timer and stopwatch functionalityI can't help but to ask myself again why the hell apple didn't include it with the iPad
View 2 RepliesI have been thinking about posting a big question/request to Apple here in the forums since I bought my iPad.I like the applications 'World Clock' in my Mac Pro, I also like the application 'Clock' in my iPhone and in my iPod Touch. They have a timer, an alarm, and international clocks. I think this is essential. And whether I can or cannot afford some free clock apps, alarm apps, or pay for some clock apps, I wonder why Apple decided not to include these very useful Apps/Tools/Utilities in the iPad, and more so that these apps are already running in the iPhone/iPod.I also miss the 'Calculator', I am using my iPad as a reference tool, so it would be nice to have the calculator that by default was in the iPhone/iPod
View 1 RepliesFor the past 3 days, the clock/time on my iPad is not up to date with the local time (cupertino as I live near by cupertino). I have restored my iPad 3 times already and have set up the local time manually and also changed it to reflect local times in San Francisco and San Jose but still to no avail, the time is always incorrect. Sometimes it is off by 30mins and sometimes by 2 hours.
View 6 RepliesI called Quirky today about returning my Quirky Cloak. I payed around $60.00 for it (with shipping) and I felt that the case did not meet what I payed for it. I won't go into a review because there are plenty on these forums already. What I am here to happily report, is they I am getting a full refund from Quirky, and still get to keep the case. It won't be my primary case, but it may be handed to keep around. Quirky will continue to get my business, and I plant to purchase things from them in the future.
View 2 RepliesI wonder if Apple could release the native clock app via iTunes as a free app? I would think so, because I really need it on my iPad to run in the background. Don't want to wait until fall for 4.0, and use a third party app when the one on the iPhone is pretty much perfect.
View 7 RepliesI noticed this last night before I went to bed, but forgot. It was about 45 minutes off last night. This morning, it is 8:30am as I type, but the iPad says it's 1:05am. This doesn't seem like it bodes well. Anyone?
