DFU Loop Stuck... Not Recovery Stuck?

Mar 21, 2011

I have an Ipad that I tried to Jailbreak. I used the greenp0ison method. It got half way and just hang for an hour. So I reset the Ipad. Now all it does is goes in to DFU mode. I can restore but every time I restore it goes back in to DFU mode. All I have is a black screen. I've tried running it on both MAC and PC to restore. I tried to restore normally and with a custom rom. I also tried tinyumbrella. The program allows me to kick it out of dfu mode and in to what it calls recovery mode (White screen) Once I tried to restore back in to DFU I go.

Can't Enter DFU Or Recovery Mode And Stuck In Boot Logo Loop?

Apr 5, 2011

I recently upgraded cydia on my tethered 4.2.1 ipad 1. At the end of the process it rebooted my ipad for me. I have rebooted my ipad before and had no problems tethering again, but this time I am not able to go into DFU or Recovery Mode, and it is stuck at the apple logo and restarts every few minutes. It will not boot enough to even connect to my computer through usb.

I have tried everything to pop it out of a recovery loop It had iOS 6 on it and I wanted to know if there was any hope of recovering my files. Ide be willing to try anything (No backups, or iCloud backups have been made either). Idealy I would need something to either dump the system memory to my hard drive I dont believe the data to be deleted (I can get into DFU Mode).

IPad 2 :: Update Failed Now Stuck In Recovery Mode

Dec 2, 2014

This is what happened:

1. Plugged my iPad2 into iTunes, downloaded iOS8 and it began to install;
2. iTunes downloaded the software and began to update iPad;
3. Device showed Apple Logo and progress bar BUT then update failed. iTunes informed me it failed, clicked OK. iPad stuck and did not recover;
4. Did a hard reset;
5. iPad showed Red iTunes logo and said to connect to iTunes;
6. Connected to iTunes which stated: iPad Recovery Mode, If you are experiencing problems with your iPad, you can restore to original settings by clicking Restore iPad
7. Clicked restore iPad - warnings about losing data etc...
8. iTunes redownloaded iOS8,
9. After downloading iTunes went back to the iPad Recovery Mode screen,
10. iTunes redownloaded iOS8
11. goes into an infinite loop back to point 6 and round and round we go.....

If I leave the iPad it exits recovery mode and tries to restart - but black screen after apple logo....... Going back into recovery mode - it does the same again.... no joy... I'm really stuck - have a backup.

iTunes, and OS Mavericks is fully up to date...

Nov 13, 2013

I installed the iOS7 update on my Jailbroken iPad 3 after some apps started crashing a little (cos I thought it was time to be updated), and my device is now stuck in Recovery Mode. I tried using RecBoot, but it stuck in a loop and it doesn't work.

I need my iPad and I really don't want to restore it.

General :: In Recovery Mode Loop After Upgrade To 8.1.

Nov 2, 2014

I tried upgrading to 8.1 on my ipad 3 and now I'm stuck in recovery mode where I see the little itunes icon and a picture of the usb cable. I tried several third party software things and tried upgrading through itunes, but it tells me my ipad can't be upgraded and I have to click restore. Of course, you know the rest.

Anyway, is there any way to get around this? Reiboot and several others will get it to exit recovery mode, but it goes right back into it. If I DO restore, is there some way to recover my lost photos afterwards?

IPad 3 :: Recovery Loop - Cannot Restore / Error 3194

Jan 31, 2013

I haven't been able to update my iPad because of error 3194. I've tried everything to find a fix, including using multiple computers, and nothing is working. Now my iPad is stuck in a recovery loop, and i cant restore it because of this error. I've tried using Tiny Umbrella and Redsn0w to kick it out of recovery mode and neither of them work. I've also tried restoring to the current firmware, 5.1.1, and 6.0.1, and again, neither worked.

IPad 2 IOS 5 Stuck In Set Up Loop

Aug 4, 2011

My iPad 2 is stuck in a set up loop on iOS beta 5. I have a dev account so that is not the issue here. Once the iPad finishes the set up load all my apps and such and the before I can tap anything goes back to the set up process. Pretty sure I just need to restore and be done with it, but I don't really want to since I am lazy and don't ever back up and haven't done a back up since I did the upgrade to iOS 5.

It Stuck In Boot Loop

Sep 25, 2011

My iPad is stuck in a boot loop. I've tried DFU and recovery mode with no success. I get different errors: 1601, 1611, 2001, and still other ones. Apple's site recommends me to check the connection. But my iPod Touch is syncing normally, and I've been trying two cables. And I've been trying on a PC and on a MacBook.

When I google my problem, most of the links are about jailbroken iPads, but mine is not.

Safari Launching YouTube Stuck In A Loop

Apr 13, 2011

I was visiting the YouTube website because the App only let's you post comments a couple of times before it says unavailable. On YouTube the capture kicks in to prevent spam but there you have the option to fill it in.

Anyway, I'm asked to log in on the main site and it triggers launching the App. Now every time I return to Safari it continues to immediately do it again. I don't have time to close the tab. I've tried wiping, history cookies and cache in the settings but that didn't work.

I've had to install the Atomic browser to come here. I don't want to do a full reset of everything just for this. I'm away from my desktop.

Is this a know issue?

I assume I'll be able to restore my iPad when I get home and it will work normally again...

After Sync, Re Syncs Sort Of 10mints Or More Times And Stuck In A Loop

Sep 20, 2010

This has been annoying me for ages. I've got several devices, had several iPhones and the procedure shold be:

1) connect to laptop
2) iTunes syncs device
3) iTunes says it's done syncing
4) device goes back to home (or lock) screen

With my iPad, after iTunes says it's done syncing, it gets stuck in a loop, sometimes for minutes at end, where the apple icon plus wait spinner comes up again and again with the sound that normally occurs when you first connect. This can't be right. So how exactly can I fix it? FWIW, I am completely up-to-date with OS updates.

Information:
15 MacBook Pro, iPhone 4
Mac OS X (10.6.4)

General :: IPad Stuck In Infinite Boot Up Loop - How To Reset

Sep 29, 2014

I have a 3rd generation iPad that's a WiFi only model and the 64GB model. I have been using a version of iOS 7 on it for awhile and at times it would mysteriously reboot. I could be in the middle of using it or I could even not be using it at all and simply see it restart.

With the release of iOS 8 I installed the new version hoping it may fix this issue. Sadly it got much worse. I was able to get into the device a few times but for the last 5-6 days I can't get into it. It simply is stuck into a constant reboot loop. It shows the Apple logo like it's restarting but it never fully restarts. It makes a sound like a beep and then begins restarting once again. This is a never ending loop. I even left it unplugged so that the battery would run down and then plugged it in again but that didn't work. I also read on Google how you can put it into restore mode by pressing the home button while connecting to the computer/iTunes but that also didn't work.

I don't know if upgrading to iOS 8.0.2 will fix the problem. Probably not but I've never done a reset. The iPad was backed up about 2 weeks ago to iCloud so I'd like to get into it if possible to do a factory reset and wipe the device so that I can upgrade to iOS 8.0.2 and then reinstall all apps. Yet I don't know how to do this if I can't get into the device.

I have tried the reset where I hold down the sleep/wake button the same time as the home button but that doesn't work. I also tried connecting it to iTunes to do a reset but it won't let me do anything with it unless I enter the passcode on the iPad and it never boots to the point of where I can do that. Also, I thought of doing a reset on iCloud (marking it as a lost iPad to do a reset) but I realize this will only work if it boots enough to get to iCloud.
