What's the best way to charge first time? Mine is currently 44% and do I need to run it all the way down, or can I charge it now, overnight? Thanks for all the help! Hope you're enjoying your ipads!

Is there somewhere on the iPad where you can see how much time is spent using the iPad and which applications were used?
View 2 RepliesI use my iPad at home on a Verison MiFi broadband and at work on an AT&T Wifi. Today when I was at work I noticed that my iPad time was 10 minutes behind actual time. What would cause this to happen?
View 4 RepliesAlways accurate. Now it will show 99% battery, 18 minutes usage, I turn it off, turn off wifi, turn on 8 hours later and the usage is now showing 3.5 hours or something similar. The battery still shows 99%. I have tried rebooting but it does not work. While I am using it, it is accurate. When I turn it off for an extended period, a few hours of usage is always added.
View 1 RepliesI have seen you can use a bt keyboard. You can now use a bt mouse via bt stack by turning off native bt and running app but how do you use both at the same time or is it just too son to be asking. this may seem odd but i got my dell blue tooth mouse to work for a split second along wiht my bt keybaord but then the dell bt mouse got stuck in a connection loop and i had to reboot my ipad. Ipad see's the bt mouse but will not connect to it. it just makes blue tooth icon flash constantly. anyone successfull in setting up both bt mouse and keyboard.
View 5 RepliesWith a jailbroken iPad + SBSettings, you can have it display your RAM usage in real time in the Status Bar (next to the time). It's interesting to see how much different apps use.

Does ipad 2 usage show time since last charge?

iPad Wi-Fi + 4G, iOS 5.1
How do you check usage and standby time on the iPad 2?

iPad 2, iOS 5
My young son uses an iPad. As a parent, I would like to be able to go to my own Mac Pro (on the same wireless network as his iPad), open a software program or window on a browser, and be able to watch in real time exactly what he sees on his screen. I want to do this to make sure he is doing his homework and not playing games. What software can I use to accomplish that?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
I have drained the iPad battery completely down. Now I am charging it for the first time. Is there a limit how long iPad can be connected to a power source or how long it takes to fully charge the iPad?

Ipad
What can I do to increase battery usage time to greater than 6 hours? I have a New iPad purchased 03/23/2012 64K-WiFi. I recharge it and get another 6 hours usage. I am using it primarily for reading books. Are there any applications I can turn off to get back to 10 hours?
Info:
iPad (3rd generation) Wi-Fi, iOS 5.1, The iPad also gets hot to handle.
PC Mag did a few tests on the new iPad and found out that should mean a lot to all of us. With the new screen set at maximum brightness, the iPad would only play video for 5.5 hours. The iPad 2 would get almost 8 hours. With the brightness set at 50% the same video test lasted 11 hours. For those with concerns about the demands of 4G, the new iPad managed to do 25 hours of 4G streaming on a charge.
To show the how much of battery demand the new iPad has, look at these numbers. The iPad 2 has a 25 watt-H battery. The MacBook Air has a 35 watt-H battery. The new iPad has a 42.5 watt-H battery, but it is using the same charger as the iPad 2 (10 watt), but the MBA uses a 45 watt charger. It takes the new iPad 7 hours to fully charge, while the iPad 2 took 4 hours. I wonder if this would be a great opportunity for a vendor to design a 25+ watt charger for the iPad?
First off, if this is in the wrong place, please feel free to move it to the right place. I have an iPad 3 64g 4g. When I plug it into any computer, I get "not charging". When I plug it into the wall, the brick in the wall and the usb plug in the brick heat up to concerning temperatures. First, why won't it charge through the computer? Second, why is it heating up so bad when connected to the wall?
View 6 RepliesSay, from 5% or 10% ---> 100% How long does it take? Mine seems to take several hours.I live in US, thus 110V.
View 7 RepliesIt took my iPad 4 hours to go from 17% charge to 100%.
View 7 RepliesWhat is the normal ipad 2 charging time? I swear mine takes forever to charge. The battery is lasting as it should but takes forever to charge.
View 25 RepliesI'm not sure if this is normal, but my iPad when plugged in using the supplied charger will only charge to 97%? Also my battery is draining really quickly, my iPad was charge up over night, it's not been used all day but already down to 65%, is that right?
View 3 RepliesWill charging this on my iPod 5w charger hurt it at all? I understand the charging process may take longer, but is there any potential battery life impact or damage?
(My hunch is "no", but just checking)
This I could shift to a USB vs. straight power discussion but I only am curious about charge time in general.
As I see it the iPad can be charged in three different states:
-Turned on while working
-Sleep Mode
-Powered Down
I am just curious how the overall charge time is altered by these different states. (i.e. does it charge faster if I power it down or just leave it asleep, etc.)
