We own a iPad 3, iOS 5.1.1 (the iPad belongs to my wife) therefore she has her own account set up using the iPad's email program (I do not have my email account on this iPad as we want to keep our accounts separate).†When I login to my email account using my webmail I can not open any attachment whether it be pdf.doc, txt ext etc? when I select the document (attachment) nothing happens - if my wife has any pdf's attached to her emails using the iPad's email program they open without any problems?†We have 3rd party apps such as PDF Reader and also iBooks which can read ePub files - I am not talking about downloading files here, I am simply talking about the capacity to just open and read an attachment which I can not do with our iPad - we have plenty of memory and drive space, therefore I think it is a bug which might be due to a combination of the webmail program and the iPad not working with each other.

I upgraded all our reps' iPad 2s to iOS 5 about a week ago, and one of the reps just told me that ever since then, his email only downloads the headers - no message. I didn't change any email settings, but I know the iOS upgrade has caused other glitches so this one doesn't really surprise me. I'm guessing there's a setting somewhere that needs to be changed and I'm just not seeing it.
When I use webmail access to access my company mail account, I cant access to the company contacts/global address list when sending email out by using ipad. Before this, I am using windows OS and I do not have this problem. I had tried many browser which is compatible with ipad but it still dont solve my problem.
This has happened to me several times now. Example: My friend sent me an email telling me what time my son's football game was at, but the email came thru as a different email (restaurants.com). I looked on my laptop and it was correct. Example2: My wife sent me an xls doc, but it came on my ipad as a bank statement. Laptop was fine, it saw the xls doc.
I can see all my emails in the "In Box", but when I click on it all I can see is who it is from and any others copied. It isn't until I "reply" that I can then read the content or the body of the email.
on my Ipad1 i can see images(a clickable image ) in the e-mail body. the same e-mail sent to my wife's Ipad2 doesn't show the image. it shows a box with winmail.dat. i've checked the settings but they are the same. Has anyone got any idea?
When I receive an email with attachment, then forward for some reason they show in the body of the email. This also happens when receiving, but if I look on my laptop it displays as an icon attachment. How do I forward an email with an attachment?
is there a way or an app to allow me to send a flyer which was created in Pages in the BODY of an email not as an attachment. The app awesome mails hd - seems to do the trick. Now it would be nice if you could some how get pages and awesome mails to work together.
I am trying to log on to my webmail account using my new ipad2 but although I get into the site ntoing happens beyond a welcome screen - e.g. I cannot see my e-mails. Is this something to with safari or my webmail account.
The gear started spinning, I believe, when I was sending a message out just as the servers might have blipped with a thunderstorm coming on. That's all I see in the outbox, the gear spinning.
I can still send messages, even with that gear spinning. To be clear, this isn't the Yahoo mobile mail app. I'm accessing the mobile version of Yahoo's webmail through 1Password. My email address is actually with att, which uses the yahoo servers.
I've signed in and out of my account. Put the iPad into and out of Airplane Mode. I've reset the iPad by pressing the Home and sleep/wake button at the same time; all with no luck. The spinning gear isn't there in any outbox when I access the webmail through my MacBook Pro.
I've written to Yahoo, no response. Don't see anything on the att email pages that's useful.
