Cannot Join WiFi Network

Jul 11, 2011

On my iPad 2 I am suddenly unable to join a secure wifi network at my workplace that I access without any difficulty on my laptop. I have tried shutting down my iPad completely and restarting-- no success. The laptop still connects, at the same location, to the same secure network, without a problem. The iPad used to function on this network without a hitch, and from one day to another, it has gone on strike.

Wifi Unable To Join The Network

Dec 4, 2010

Just having major issues with 4.2.1 on the wireless. I can occasionally connect and it will work for 5 minutes and then disconnect. When I attempt to reconnect it will give me "Unable to Join the network"reset in General --> Reset. I've restored 4.2.1 again on my iPad as new.Other iPads at 3.2 work fine from the exact same location. iPhone 4 (V4.2.1) works on the same spot fine.

Cannot Join WiFi Network On IPad 2

Jun 1, 2012

This is the third time I have had this problem since I bought my ipad about 6 months ago. What happens is that every time there is a software update my ipad will refuse to connect with any Wi-Fi networks. It will usually be disconnected for about a week and I cannot remember how I fixed it last time. I have updated the software (via the computer), tried turning the iPad on and off again, restarted the modum while the iPad was turned off, done a full system restore, 'reset network settings' and checked my iPad access point. I know this is not a problem with my internet modum because every computer in our house is working; even our second iPad 2 is working fine (it has never had any problems like this).

IPad 2 :: Connecting To Home WiFi - Unable To Join Network

Dec 30, 2011

Using a D-Link DIR-615 modem, my notebook, android phone all are connected with no problems. When trying to connect the iPad, I get the message "Unable to join the network." Have worked on this several hours trying to research any problem on the D-Link site or Apple and am at a loss. I am no computer expert by any stretch of the imagination. The iPad does connect to the internet using my Android as a hot spot.

Unable To Connect To WPA2 Network - Unable To Join Network Name

Aug 22, 2010

I cannot connect my iPad to a wireless network running WPA2. I simply get the message back "Unable to join the network network name". This has been tried on an Airport Express and a Cisco wireless concentrator. Disabling WPA2 and the iPad will connect to both networks without issues. What is iPads support for WPA and WPA2? No issues with either Macs running Mac OS X or other PCs running Windows or Linux on the same network.

Error Message "unable To Join Network" On My Home Wifi

Apr 26, 2012

Bought New IPad and used it on commercial wifi spots like Starbucks, no problem. At home my Linksys sees my wifi network but when I enter password I get "unable to join network" error message. My IPad 2 connects as usual. Same password. No problem.

I rebooted router and then turned on New IPad. Same result. I re-set network settings to factory. Still get "unable to join network". Tried entering Security Key instead of password. No go.

On IPad WIFI password is no longer recognized. I have contacted ISP and had network reset. My IPod Touch recognizes and accepts the same password that the IPAD won't recognize - after entering password states "Unable to Join the network". I have reset network settings and Reset All Settings without success.

Wi-Fi -Unable To Join Network

Sep 10, 2010

If no encryption is selected it will connect without any issues. I have tried using WPA-PSK2 and WEP, it is unable to connect. I have tried a Linksys router WRT54GL and a Buffalo router running OpenWRT. I have tried using DHCP and static addressing. There are no MAC restrictions. A laptop and desktop running Windows 7 can connect to either access point/router using WPA-PASK2. I have powere off all devices.

Unable To Join The Network Livebox-XXX

Sep 6, 2010

I have a wi-fi network at my home in France supplied by Orange with a Livebox router. I have verified the WEP code for this router directly with Orange and it is correct. When I go to settings and turn on wi-fi, I see my router listed with its correct name and a good signal. When I select this network it prompts me for my password. When I enter the correct password I receive an error message which reads "Unable to join the network Livebox-XXX". How do I connect to my own network in these circumstances?

Cannot Join A WPA2-Encrypted Network

Sep 12, 2010

I have the iPad Wi-Fi+3G. At work we have 2 wireless networks served by Cisco WAP4410N access points. One is encrypted with 128-bit WEP and the other is WPA2-Personal Mixed. Both are set to 802.11b/g/n, and they have different SSID's.The iPad cannot connect to the WPA2 network, saying the password is incorrect, even though I have verified that I'm using the correct password. However, the iPad can connect to the WEP network.I don't know what else about the WPA2 network that could cause this issue. It also happens when iPhones try to connect to it.In contrast at home, I can connect to my WPA2-Personal network served by an Airport Extreme Dual-Band router.
