Can't Delete Inbox Folder

Jan 7, 2011

When I connect iPad to my computer, go to Apps in iTunes and VLC documents (same for other apps, e.g., Noterize), there's a Inbox folder that has been added, in addition to my other files.

In that folder seems to be the video files that I've opened (with iPad) from the Mail app. Each time I open a new one, they add it to that folder, taking up storage space.

Delete A Lot Of Messages From Your Inbox Easily?

Feb 11, 2011

Anyone know of an easy way to delete a lot of messages from your inbox easily. The edit option is too cumbersome for deleting a lot of emails - like over 150. Also anyone know how to mark email as junk? That's the reason I have so much stuff to delete. If not, Apple needs to update their mail app to allow you to mark mail as junk and to delete your entire inbox if desired.

Delete Mail From Server When Removed From Inbox

Apr 20, 2010

I have a POP e-mail account set up. Under the mail account advanced settings there is an option to delete mail from the server when I delete it from the iPad inbox. I assume this is a valid option for the account since it is shown, and it is what I would like to do. However it doesn't appear to be working. Is this truly an available option?

Email Mass Delete In Inbox Queue?

Is there a way to mass delete emails in the inbox queue, without having to click on each one individually in Edit mode to later delete them? It's pretty cumbersome. A "select all" followed by "delete selected" would have been nice.

Set up gmail imap account and started to notice that deleted messages from the inbox move to trash rather than archive. Furthermore I tried to change the settings in the advanced section of the mail account on the iPad and selected the all mail folder for the "deleted messages" field. Inbox Sync - If Delete New Message From IPad - Gets Deleted On Blackberry As Well

Jun 2, 2011

I am going to post this in both an iPad forum and a blackberry forum, but figured i would do it here first since everyone looks so darn friendly.

My brand loyalty to mobile devices is all over the place. I use an iPad for pretty much everything web surfing and media related, but a blackberry (BIS) as my personal cell phone for talking, texting and personal email. When I got my iPad I set up an exchange account for my gmail, and syncing between the iPad and all my computers (home and work, pc and Mac), works great.

Unfortunately my blackberry is being pretty stubborn. Whenever I receive an email to my gmail account, which usually happens more or less at the same time on both the blackberry and the iPad, unless i open it on the blackberry first, it will show up as an unread message on my home screen even though there are no unread messages in my blackberry inbox. If i delete a new message from my iPad, it gets deleted on my blackberry as well, but the new message indicator never goes away. What that translates to is more or less reconciled inboxes between the two devices, but a new message indicator that is completely out of whack (currently at 2 on my iPad vs. 14 on my blackberry). No amount of restarts or battery pulls will get rid of the indicator. Obviously this is more of a minor inconvenience than it is a real problem, but it does have me pretty curious.

IPad 3 Mail Always Defaults To ICloud Inbox Instead Of Unified Inbox?

Jun 10, 2012

Fairly new to my iPad 3, but a long-time iOS user with an iPhone 4S. I have an iCloud email account along with my work Exchange account. iClous is the defaul email account. For some reason, any time I restart the iPad, Mail opens only in my iCloud inbox, and not in my unified inbox. Can't find any setting relating to this action. My iPhone 4S consistently opens in the unified inbox, with the exact same email accounts running the same 5.1.1 system with the same settings. A small bug, but kind of driving me nuts anyway. Am I missing a setting somewhere to fix this issue?

IPad 2 :: Safe To Delete DCIM Folder?

Feb 24, 2012

During my last import some friends had their date setting all messed up on their cams, so the pictures imported where all messed up. After getting the photos on my PC, I manually fixed that issue, and pushed them back on my iPad with the good chronology.I ended up having duplicates of photos in several folders, and it looks pretty ugly. Moreover all RAW imports are taking up about 25GB, and there is no way to batch delete these. Tried syncing iTunes to an empty folder to no avail. What I need to do, is delete every single photo from my iPad (RAW and non-RAW) and sync it back again with all my organised photos from my PC (Without the RAWs).So was wondering, is it safe for me to open the iPad folder from My Computer and manually delete the DCIM folder?
