I have an iPhone 4S and had been using the calendar. When I recently purchased an iPad2 Wi-Fi, i lost years worth of data from my calendar when I attempted to sync the two using iCloud. The data is not on either the iPhone or iPad and I'm wondering if there is any way I can recover this?
I just "took a picture" of my calendar for the month of May by pressing the top (on/off) and front buttons on the iPad (I was going to email the picture to someone)...the picture was taken with success, but it seems all of my calendar entries (for EVERY month!) have been deleted! Is there any way to get my entries back?
I'm a new comer to this site and have not found any similar topicToday I tried for the first time a sync with iCloud from my recent iPad in order to have my data saved somewhere and also all my devices (iPad plus iPhone and Mac Book Air) updated automatically. And I launched it in the same time with my recent iPhone But after a while I got a message telling that for the iPad it was not completed and when checking data from calendar I noticed that lots (but not all...) events disappeared
I'm thinking of getting an iPad and one feature I want is to be able to wirelessly sync the included iPad calendar (iCal?) with my Google calendar. I know this can be done through iTunes but I would like to have the ability to do it without having to have my laptop at my side all the time.
I have done a lot of research about trying to figure out how to sync appointments made on my iPad to my Gmail calendar. I have found countless guides for how to get entries from Gmail to iPad which works for me, but I have not been able to find a solution for a 2 way sync, or at least from iPad to Google.
Since I share the iPad and multiple people, they will make calendar appointments on the iPad. Since the iPad will typically stay at home, I would like to find a way to get all of the appointments on my iPad to sync to my Moto Droid.
I figured the easiest way was to somehow sync the iPad with Google Calendar as I can sync that down to my phone.
Has anyone had any success with either a constant 2 way automatic sync? If not is there anyway I can easily get whats on my iPad onto either my Moto droid or Gmail Calendar?
I bought my daughter an iPad and would like to set it up so that it will sync with my Mobile me account but only with the calendars and maybe the contacts. I really don't want her to have access to my E-mail. How can I accomplish that if it is possible. Information: 21.5 inch iMac 3.2 GHz Intel I3 Mac OS X (10.6.4)
Is there a way of syncing the Calendar and Address Book information from a MacBook to an iPad, but not the other way round? I mean, is there a way to force it to only sync one-way, so that no changes or additions from the iPad end up back in the MacBook?
Information: iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2009, Week 47), 3.06GHz, 4GB RAM Mac OS X (10.6.3) iPhone 3GS (16GB), Apple TV (160GB)
I try to add a new book in my Ipad and lost almost all the rest I had previously. Strangely they show on my itunes but after syncing the bunch of books I had won't show anymore. Just few of them and the two new ones I added. I tried few times, I've checked all the possible options but without result. I just got the new itunes but I have no idea if this could be the problem. Unfortunately I don't have those books anymore in my pc.
When I syncing my photo's from my home computer to my Ipad, using Itunes, the names of the photo's and albums are lost. I don't want to rename over 10000 photo's. Is it possible to upload photo's and albums from Itunes on the Ipad without losing the descriptions?
I have downloaded a rented film onto my iPad and bought a film thru' iTunes on my PC. Will I lose the rented film which is not yet viewed if I sync to add the purchased film from the PC iTunes onto the iPad? - the message that comes up says all film and music will be deleted. Is it possible to transfer the bought film from the PC onto the iPad without syncing?
When i sync my i pad with the computer it wiped everything backed nothing up and now now i have lost 4 movies, 20 audio books and various apps all costing money- how can i get these back or are they gone forever?
I use an iPad as my main computer, and used public computers to set it up. My wife has a lap top, so I decided to sync to iTunes on it so I could delete some music. I sync'd partway, and cancelled because it was taking a long time. All my music was deleted on the iPad and didn't show up on iTunes except for the first album. The same thing happened with my books. Is there anyway to retrieve or redownload my content without repaying the $300+ dollars?
I just sync my iPad with iTunes 10.0.1.22 using my Lenovo Thinkpad laptop which is running Microsoft Vista and somehow lost all my safari bookmarks on my iPad. What I think cause the problem was I checked to sync my Internet Explorer bookmarks which somehow completely erased my bookmarks on the iPad.
How can I recover these bookmarks which were over 500!!!. I sync to my PC on a daily basis and just backed up my entire laptop so if I can find the file which contains the safari bookmarks, hopefully I can just replace that file on my PC and be back in business.
While trying to sync my new Ipad2 to a new computer, I lost many files on my IPad. I do not see those files on the desk top computer either. Where are the files gone and how I can retrieve them. I am new to syncing.
I have trouble, after sync with itunes ipad 2 ios 5.1.1 erase all photos. But I have 16Gb version and all this space is free, so I thinks, maybe photo not removed totally, and I still can restore them. There is bunch of programs from restoring deleted files from hard drive, but any of them don't see ipad like usb flash drive. How I can connect ipad to PC like external storage, to restore photos with those programs or how I can make full ipad drive image and restore photos from it? (without jailbreak.
