View 1 RepliesI have noticed that on my 1st gen iPad, in then past week or so, when clicking on a YouTube link while in Safari, after opening YouTube and watching part of the video, then clicking the Home button and relaunching Safari, I will get a crash. Specifically, on relaunching Safari, the most recent page is brought up, but only a blank page. When I hit the button to open all pages, only the top 1 inch displays (the bottom of the screen is white). Then Safari cranes and the home iOS screen opens. Then I launch Safari, usually with no problem.

View 3 Repliesthe iPad owner's man tells you how to place a bookmark. Got that, did it, it turns red. So what? When I close the application or switch to another book, the book i was reading always opens back at the page I left off on whether I bookmark it or what does the "Bookmark" actually do?I haven't been able to find any place where "Bookmarks" are listed as they are in my Sony eReader. All bookmarks come up in a seperate list and you can jump to any bookmark. I was assuming the Ibooks ones work the same way but unless I am missing something, I don't see how.I purchased a cd of 16000 SciFi books and have uploaded about 100 to my ipad. I like to jump around reading short stories and it would be nice to be able to pull up a list of bookmarks as to where I left off in which book.
View 4 RepliesI am runing iOS 5.1 When I double-click the home button the interface crashes, and it takes me back to the "slide to unlock" screen, with the end result being that I cannot close any open applications. Has anyone else seen this issue? I have rebooted my iPad, and this does not make the issue go away. iPad 2, 32GB, WiFi only running iOS 5.1.
EDIT: So, for testing purposes, I turned on the multi-touch gestures and tried swiping up to bring up the task list. As soon as I swipe up, it crashes as well, so the problem is not with the home button, but with the task list.
I was just watching the video walkthrough that 9to5Mac has posted and it shows that iPad Safari does have a bookmark bar just like Mac Safari. I didn't know that it was going to have that. Has anyone who has the SDK played with this feature. The video showed it popping up somehow. Is it possible to have it appear all the time? Also, the video showed that Safari is set up to be identified as desktop Safari NOT mobile Safari. I really can't wait to get my hands on an iPad. Whoever the person was that kept saying the Safari is mobile Safari needs to go and watch this video.
View 2 RepliesI cannot find the way to bookmark a website using Safari on my iPad.
View 1 RepliesAirPrint, while a welcome feature, seems to have been implemented not by Apple, but by any other company...In Safari, what used to be an icon to add a page as a bookmark, or to add it to the home screen, now also accomodates printing. In Mail, if I wish to print, I need to tap the "reply" icon.In Pages, Numbers and keynote it's under the "settings" icon.Would it not have made more sense to use the existing "print" icon and put it on a toolbar?I've left the feedback here:http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html Information : iOS 4.
View 2 RepliesIs there a way to delete a bookmark in Safari?
View 4 RepliesI assume that this is easy for some, but I cannot create a bookmark in Safari. I click on the icon and choose Add Bookmark, then Save.
But I do not see the bookmark in the Bookmarks Bar.
Quick question... How do you get to your bookmarked web sites in safari without using the bookmark bar?
I use the bar now But I have pages I bookmarked before I knew about that handy little bar.

When I sync my iPad to my iMac, I chose to sync the bookmarks as well. The problem is, only the main bookmarks sync, not the sub-folders that I use to catagorize my bookmarks. Anyone found a solution to this issue?
Information:
Macbook 2.2 Ghz, iMac 2.4 Ghz, iPhone x2, Apple TV, and soon, iPad 32GB 3G
Mac OS X (10.6.3)
I have the iPad synced, and all is well, and working. Safari's bookmarks are all there, except for the bookmarks that were in folders. Is there a way around this?
Information:
24 Inch iMac, MacBook, iPad 32 GB, LaCie drives, numerous iPods, full fridge
Mac OS X (10.6.3)
I heart Apple!!!
I've added several bookmarks to the iPAD's bar in Safari.
How can they be removed? Is there a function on the iPAD or is connection to the iMAC needed?
Information:
20" iMAC, 2.16GHz, iPAD 32/3G/WiFi
Mac OS X (10.5.7)
I just bought my iPad2 a few days ago. IOS5 already installed. I am wondering how I can add the mutipages tab in safari. I see a lot of ipad2 videos with this tab. It's a tab that shows you all your open pages in small format so you have the option to close it. It's next to the bookmark tab in safari. Maybe my iPad doesn't have this feature.
View 2 RepliesThe problem is, I can't just open the link and then add it.
It's a "What's new" link in a forum and once you click it it changes from the actual generic link to a specific search ID link which then is pointless to bookmark
So I need to somehow copy and paste the generic link into the bookmark in Safari on iPad.
