Anyone have a problem with iPad blue-tooth. I turn it on and get spinning search icon. I have iPhone, Mac Keyboard, and other BT items but not one thing comes in as found. And during this my WiFi turns to "Not Connected"
Anyone with the same problem, with fix?
I jailbroke my iPad for one reason. So that I can run iTether and get an internet connection from my iPhone. It's an excellent thing!But now, I am conflicted. I have to make a choice......Upgrade now to 4.2 with all the sexiness - and lose my beloved tethering?Or wait until the evil jail-breaking code monkeys break the back of 4.2?I am so conflicted!BTW. Does anyone know why Apple elected to not support the Bluetooth PAN on the iPad? They do on all their Macs.

Does anyone know if I can blue tooth between two I pads? Like maybe on the scrabble game. How about any apps that can bluetooth the pads?
If not what use is having blue tooth on the pad besides using the wireless key board.
I have just bought a Belkin Bluetooth music receiver for my iPad. I have used it for outputting my music and the sound from video from the iPad with no problems. The issue I am having is I start an app (looptastic) the sound comes out of the iPad and not the stereo. I would think this is an apple restriction not to let apps output sound.
I have jail broken my iPad with spirit so I have Cydia installed my question is is there an cydia app that makes all the sounds output from the iPad ?
Man this iPad is just killer for games. All we need now is a game controller. Anyone hear/know about one? I would think a blue tooth controller would be killer. With something like that we could get more buttons to use for game play and move this even closer to a game system.

I was going to purchase an iPad, partly for the fun factor and partly for a very portable solution to access my work desktop when I travel via a remote desktop program we use. It worked fine in fooling around with it in an Apple store, with one excpetion. We use the * key a lot in my work, so using the iPad keyboard would now require shuttling back and forth between 3 keyboard pages, the numbers page, the letters page, and the special characters page. I could not get used to this, it was simply too awkward and way too slow.
My question is, do you think purchasing the Apple Bluetooth keyboard would settle this issue, and is a reasonable compromise? I very much want the iPad for all the other obvious reasons that everybody loves theirs, but am wondering if purchasing the keyboard for travel takes away the portability attraction and if it would then be better to bite the bullet and spend a few hundred more for the Macbook Air 11.6? I would never use the keyboard at home as I use my desktop to work from home and not the iPad, so it would only be when I travel(not that much, perhaps 4 to 5 times a year)
I have been using my iphone 4 and the internet tethering feature to share internet with my mac book pro. It works fine.
I have recently purchased an ipad+3G in the US, and now plan on using it here in Australia. Work will be providing me with an internet only sim card, but I was wondering if the same feature can be used on the ipad the same way I use it on the iphone 4. I would like to share the internet on my ipad via a bluetooth tether with my mac book pro.
I have read so many different posts if tethering can be done or cannot be done on these devices but it such a mix of wifi and ipad to iphone tethering. None of them really answer my question.

My iPad is used mostly for Word Processing in Pages. I've got Apple's blue-tooth keyboard. And while the onscreen is fine for internet related stuff, it really isn't suitable for writing essays, or a novel, or even long emails.
I have two major complaints about the keyboard though, and I am hoping someone knows of a work around.
1) When I throw my iPad & keyboard into my backpack any jostling will cause the iPad to come on and iTunes to start playing. I've tried turning off the ipad. I've set the iPad to need a password to log in. I've looked for toggle switches in the settings and an off-key on the keyboard. So far nothing. Any pressure on the keyboard will turn it on (and waste the iPad's battery) and any (inevitable) pressure on the play, fast-forward, rewind or volume keys will start iTunes playing. Depending on where you are and what music comes on, this can be very embarrassing.
2) Having the blue-tooth keyboard is really nice, and most of the time you don't want to see the touch screen one, after all it takes up precious real estate. But let's say you use the keyboard to write an essay, then take the iPad to bed, and just want to read an eBook or surf the web or even write a short email. You start to type and because the touch-screen keyboard is minimized it is completely unavailable. As far as I can tell there is nowhere to press, no command or combination of finger presses on the iPad to bring the keyboard back. In fact the only thing you can do is find the blue-tooth device and press eject, at which point everything works fine.

View 1 RepliesI just noticed that my iPad 3G 64 GB has almost a gradient color issue. The left side of the iPad - when positioned in portrait - is noticeably warmer (more yellow) than the right side which is a cool blue color. For some perspective, its especially noticeble when comparing the left and right borders of the macforums. I previously had a backlight bleeding issue with my iPad (confirmed by an Apple Genius) that I exchanged for this one. I actually took the gradient iPad into the store to have them look at it, but its not as dramatic as the backlight bleeding and thus I was told it was normal - I had the same Genius working with me and he was reluctant to give me another exchange.

When I view any img or open any app on my iPad all of the images are blue like details are there but imgs are only in shades of blue. This includes everything from .jpg on craigslist to images in iTunes (cd covers) to the HD driving game i got on the apple store. Am I the only one that has this problem? Can anyone tell me how to resolve this issue?

OK, so every time I try to back up my iPad, my pc will blue screen.I've tried all the help stuff i can find here, like updating all my drivers, I've tried removing everything from the other usb ports, I've tried removing and installing both itunes and QuickTime, but I'm still getting it crashing every timeIs there anybody with any suggestions that might help?

I am from Singapore. I had just got my iPad for 1 week. While I was just surfing the net on safari, on a google search page, suddenly my entire screen went blue (the very similar blue when windows crashed)!!!
The first thing I did was to wait. After about 3 minutes, nothing changed. I tried pressing the <home-button>, no response. Then also the <Power Button> no response either. Then I did a hard-reset I knew from the iPhone, pressing both the <Power> and <Home> button together for 10 sec. The screen went black. Like the iPhone, I have put my iPad into Recovery-mode.
I quickly connect my iPad to my MacBook iTunes, hopefully to recover it. iTunes detected the iPad and knows it is in recovery mode and said that I need to download the latest firmware and do a recovery. The firmware complete download but the recovery met with fatal error with error-code "1600"
I tried every suggestion the Apple site suggested, like switching USB port and creating a new admin account on my MacBook. Nothing works. The recovery still fails with code "1600".
Can anyone help me? what must I do? I still just can't believe such a pretty apple device could crashed so fatally.
I have 3 icons which have changed what they look like, it is like some kind of notification about a news update or something? It started out with 1 icon now it is 3 and I can't seem to get them to go back to normal. Anyone know how to get these blue mail icons off?

Could not resist. I have been using f.lux for my computer and iPhone for a long time. I could not wait for the jailbreak so I can get it on my iPad too.
I bought a new iPad in Carrefour, Cali, Colombia. The screen has a blue tint on top that is more visible with grey backgrounds.
In Colombia there´s not Apple Stores, just resellers. There aren't people from Apple in Carrefour.
I´m not sure if Carrefour will change my New iPad "just for a small blue shadow" on the screen...
