when i'm syncing my ipad - the first thing it does is try to backup the ipad. It will run for a while and the BCOD appears. happens everytime. I bought and ran a registry cleaner because I read somewhere the 96% of problems are caused by the registry. I'm in the 4% group. Loaded itunes 10 - same result. If I restore the ipad to factory defaults - it works first time. next attempt then fails..I tried different usb ports - same result, have a usb card on order with a VIA chipset set as I read this helps. what else can I do short of returning the ipad. The ipad is a 65gb wi-fi only.

Just a couple of days ago, my Ipad has started getting a blue screen of death. It gets a blue screen, and then shuts itself off. When it restarts, it's unresponsive for about 4-5 minutes before letting me using it again. When it lets me use it again, I have about 10 minutes before it starts all over. I'm hoping this is something that can be fixed whether hardware or software is the problem. I definitely don't want to have to spend $700 for the new iPad as good as it may be. I'm also serving in Manama, Bahrain for the next couple of years, and this island is no where near an Apple store.
IPad Air :: Crashed And Won't Restart After Blue Screen Of Death
Aug 21, 2014
My iPad Air keeps on crashing and then a blue background would come up. To make the iPad restart I have been doing the hold-down-the-home-button-and-start-button-at-the-same-time technique. It's been a short term fix. Recently this has been occurring more often, this time I didn't press anything and it just went black.
IM taking it to the Apple Store tomorrow I'm just wondering can it be repaired or will I have to buy a replacement or will I. Get a free replacement as the iPad is still under warranty. If it was repaired in store how long would it take and how much would it cost??
Since upgrading to iTunes 9.2, my iPad now has this blue tinge to the screen. Anyone else having this issue? I have restored back to "Factory settings" with no change to the colour. I have changed wallpaper, etc with no difference.
OK, so every time I try to back up my iPad, my pc will blue screen.I've tried all the help stuff i can find here, like updating all my drivers, I've tried removing everything from the other usb ports, I've tried removing and installing both itunes and QuickTime, but I'm still getting it crashing every timeIs there anybody with any suggestions that might help?
I am from Singapore. I had just got my iPad for 1 week. While I was just surfing the net on safari, on a google search page, suddenly my entire screen went blue (the very similar blue when windows crashed)!!!
The first thing I did was to wait. After about 3 minutes, nothing changed. I tried pressing the <home-button>, no response. Then also the <Power Button> no response either. Then I did a hard-reset I knew from the iPhone, pressing both the <Power> and <Home> button together for 10 sec. The screen went black. Like the iPhone, I have put my iPad into Recovery-mode.
I quickly connect my iPad to my MacBook iTunes, hopefully to recover it. iTunes detected the iPad and knows it is in recovery mode and said that I need to download the latest firmware and do a recovery. The firmware complete download but the recovery met with fatal error with error-code "1600"
I tried every suggestion the Apple site suggested, like switching USB port and creating a new admin account on my MacBook. Nothing works. The recovery still fails with code "1600".
Can anyone help me? what must I do? I still just can't believe such a pretty apple device could crashed so fatally.
I had a purple line going across my screen and I read somewhere it is a hardware issue. I was going to bring it to Apple first thing when I return from vacation. Today a thicker blue line started flickering to the left of my screen and it totally froze. I tried turning it off and it did not work. The battery eventually died. I plugged it in and iTunes does not recognize it.I have NOT tried a hard reset yet because I downloaded apps here that I never synched to my computer. Will I loose these apps? If it were one App or 2 I would not mind but I spent at least 25 dollars since being on vacation.
Got mine via the us last thursday and was fine for a few hours then all of a sudden the screen just changed to blurry images and colours. I done a restore which seemed to sort the problem but i now have blue pixels across the screen in various places which even curve around the app icons, anyone else has this. As i am in UK i was worried about this and went in to my store in Newcastle and they said no support in UK yet so may be a hardware issue that possibly will need to be returned to US but he told me to ring UK, They have clarified the situation and told me not to worry as the ipad is NOT going to be country specific and they will replace my unit as soon as it is released in UK at end of may, explained that it cant be changed or fixed here yet as no ipads or parts in UK.

I 'google' this issue but can't find a clear answer. If this is a common problem, please let me know. Anyway, I brought my Wifi iPad yesterday. Everything was going fine until I went on the youtube app. My internet connection is pretty fast, I think. The video plays but there are small blue streaks on the screen. This occurred to every videos i played. I assumed it was youtube app problem until I download the ABC app. It is the same thing. Please help me. I don't want to bring it to the store looking like a fool. I provided some pictures as well as my speed test. Funny thing is that when I screen capture on the iPad, it does not show. So I took it on my crappy phone. Thanks for the help.
Its annoying as hell. I can't tell which links I've clicked or not clicked on Google searches. They look virtually the same (purple and blue). Last year I went through 3 iPads that had light bleeding. I love Apple, but I've exchanged the last 3 items I've bought from them (iPad 2, 4S (brown spots on the screen), and an AEBS that sounded like an old sprinkler system.
I have blue pixels appearing on the IPad screen. Looks to me like the synchronization of the red, green and blue is off. Done the usual nonsense of resetting everything in full from backup and this hasn't helped. I get blue pixels across all apps and pictures so a centralized problem. When I used to work with CRT projectors you had to align the red, green and blue to create colors properly so I recognize the issue from that. Is my IPad broken? Is this a known fault?
Just a further note, this is working on and off, it is not permanently broken, it can even start and stop working when I've got the IPad running and jumping between the web browser and main screen.
Had just finished playing Osmos. Gorgeous game. Exited to the Home screen, and suddenly the screen flashed completely blue for a second, and then went black. It will NOT turn on at all. Holding down home+power doesn't work. Nothing works!it's a trip to the Geniuses for me.RIP 64GB WiFi iPad.
I got my iPad a couple if days ago and it has developed a blue line going across the bottom of the screen, just above the home button. I has read about this problem but mine seems slightly different, in that the line only shows when it's against a black background, against any other colour it isn't visible, so it's not a dead pixel or pixels. I have done a restore and it worked for about ten minutes but it has came back now.Is there any other solution I could try or is it back to the shop for me? Information:Lenovo iPhone OS 3.1.2
