Battery Died And Now It Won't Charge Because It Keeps Turning On / Off

My 1st generation iPad's battery died so I plugged it in. When I did, the Apple logo came up and it went to the lock screen for probably about 2 seconds and then turned off to the loading spinning wheel thing. It turned all the way off and then went back to the logo screen and did it again. It's been doing this for about two hours now and I don't know what to do. When I plugged it into my Mac, iTunes would only recognize it the short time that it is on the lock screen so I can't reset it or do anything with it at all.

3G Died - Eventually The Battery Will Go Dead
Got my iPad 3g yesterday - everything worked fine. This afternoon, it locked up while launching Netflix. Don't know if the problem is related to this. I rebooted the iPad several times, but it never got beyond the Apple logo. I tried to restore from itunes -- nothing! Now it's displaying the logo and eventually the battery will go dead. Battery Stuck After Charging And Turning Off Glitch?
I have a replacement iPad after a dead pixel on my first one, noticed two things with the replacement:

1. The battery percentage after charging today is stuck on 100%

2. When I turned the iPad off to see if that reset the battery the unit seems to turn off, then comes back on and then switches off properly.

Anyone else had either of the above happen?

I just got my ipad yesterday...how long do I need to charge the battery before I can use it. And I read that the battery should be completely run down once a month and recharged. I don't think I'll be using it enough to do that. What is the fastest way to run it down so that I can recharge.

Charging The Battery/when Shoul Be Charge A New Battery?
I have just bought my brand new iPad and as I was leaving the PC World store the tech guy told me that I should charge the unit for TEN HOURS before even turning it on.

I know this used to be common practice with batteries in years gone by but in this age of non-memory Lithium Ion batteries is it really necessary to do that?Did you all charge yours up for that period of time before getting stuck into it?

Battery Recycle/when Should Charge The Battery To Get Better Performance?
From http://www.apple.com/batteries/ipad.html

For proper reporting of the batterys state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down). How long to let the ipad sit without charging, then charge it up again? Hours?

Bluetooth Keyboard Keeps Turning On And Waking Up (draining Battery)
I realize this might be an odd issue, but my Apple wireless keyboard keeps turning itself on (and waking the iPad with any button presses, and draining iPad (and I'm sure the keyboards own) battery just with the connection it's maintaining). I keep both in a bag together and am guessing the power switch on the keyboard is being pressed at some point and turning it on. Is there any workaround besides just removing the batteries until needed? Some sort of "lock" switch to prevent it from turning on or a function where you need to hold the power button for a few seconds to turn it on? My guess is that walking around the button is getting touched briefly, and since any key-press will light up the iPad, I'll sometimes lose 10% of the battery life just walking around with it in my bag.

I went crazy.... start to troubleshoot and found out that thre china 6ft cable, maybe don't have the same pins, same cable specifications causing a weak current, I tried with a original cable short version and wala! is getting warm and charging as normal.

How To Charge Battery For Best Battery Life
I have read all the apple pages on this (why they have to be in 3 documents is beyond me) and still can not determine WHEN it is best to charge? I have let my power run to 0 before recharging. This is how my camera batteries work best. So I am doing FULL charges, not PARTIAL charges. Also, when large battery pic says 100% charged, top right small battery pic says 98% instead of 100, twice now. Information:Ipad 3G & 13.3 MacPro

Better To Charge More Often Or Let Battery Get Really Low?
I was wondering, since the battery life is based on charge cycles, if it is better to charge your iPad daily or to wait until the battery is pretty drained (>20%) before you plug it in? I told my mom, who has an iPhone, that it's probably better to drain it bc the battery is based on charge cycles, but my brother who is probably more tech savvy than me told her she should charge it at the end of the day regardless of her battery level. I obviously want my iPad to last me as long as possible so I'm wondering if it makes a difference which approach you take to charging, and which is the better option.

Refuse To Charge The Battery?
My iPad has been working fine for weeks and suddenly today it basically refuses to charge the battery. Even connected to the 10W charger, it takes hours to get even +10% charge. When plugged into the 10W, it doesn't show the charging symbol. When plugged into a PC, it doesn't even say "Not Charging" anymore. Actually now that I'm trying to sync, the PC complains about not being able to recognize the device and I don't see it in iTunes anymore.

Battery Limit/when Should Charge?
This certainly seems like a stoopid question, but the more I try to figure this out the more I don't get it. I've read the posts on this forum, read Apple's battery info and I'm more confused for all this info.

Apple recommends 1x a month running the iPad's battery down to 0, till it shuts off and then recharge back to 100%. This helps the battery maintain its full charging capacity for longer.

In the past with an electronic device like my phone or camera or laptop, whether I use em some, a lot, a little-during the day, once home I charge them up for the next day. Regardless of whether they need charging or not, I will "top them off" to start at 100% charged in the morning.

But with an iPad should we keep running the battery down until it gets to 20%, 10%, 5% before recharging it. OR?! is it okay to plug it in in the evening b4 bed, even if its at 75%, or 63% and "top it off" for the next day?

Get Better Battery Life On First Charge?
When i first got iPad when using I'd be on pace for 11-12 hours of total battery life. That was browsing the web, using apps, etc.

Charged it last night and even just browsing I'm on pace for under 10. Watched a 25 minute video on abc app that drained 12% battery in fairy low ambient light.

Ive turned off push notifications and the brightness is around 50%.

I didn't thinknthis was defective based on my charge out of the box but now im getting worried.

Unable To Charge The Battery?
After some investigation on the fist ipad hands-on photos, I discovered that there will be some problems with the ipad adapters when I have to charge the Battery, because they all have to use the only dock connector on the ipad.

For example:

I want to do a presentation with a video Beamer connected to the ipad. How should I now charge the ipad if the Battery is low?

Nobody else noticed that?

I wish there would be a dock with more than one connector or so...

Battery Losing Charge While Plugged In AND In Use
I got my ipad opening day. By the end of the day, I noticed that even though I had the ipad plugged into the supplied charger with supplied cable, the battery was slowing draining at a rate of approximately 5% every hour. So I called apple care and they decided to send me a new replacement. However, the behavior is the same with this iPad. We own two of them, so I did try the power adapter and cable from the second ipad and again, the behavior is the same. I would like to see if anyone else notices this with their iPad if they could at least give it a try:1) Fire up bluetooth and WiFi, plug in the supplied cable and charger.2) Crank up the brightness.3) Run an app that is demanding on the device. I love drum apps and will drum along with my macpro playing iTunes on the MacPro and listening to the iPad via GarageBand so that it plays on the nice set of speakers.
