View 2 RepliesI am getting a very large amount of junk email that is not being caught by iPad mail. Is anyone else having the same issue? Both Entourage and Mac mail catch it on my iMac but not mail on the iPad and there is no junk mail setting for the iPad app that I can find.
View 5 RepliesI get a lot of junk mail. I also get a lot of junk mail that I want to read! So how do I ensure that my email account on the iPad gets and "stores" all my junk mail so I can resurrect it if I need to?

When I receive junk mail on my iPad 2, it will alert me with a sound. I want alerts only for mail coming in my inbox. How can I stop alerts for junk or spam mails?
View 4 RepliesI searched but I only saw a 28 page count in a thread called tips and tricks and I did not want to go through all of those for my answer.
I'm trying to wean myself off my laptop and only use it for copying DVD's or converting DVD's to view on the iPad.
One thing it seams I still have to go back to the laptop for is to mark spam emails in my Gmail or Yahoo account so I don't have to see them in my iPad inbox again from the same spammer again.
I'm using pop email accounts currently as I have not had the time to change them over to IMAP. I saved threads on how to do it once I want to spend the effort to convert both accounts.
But for now is there a way on my iPad to indicate an email is spam? I know I can transfer the email to the spam folder but I don't know if that did the trick like it does on my laptop when I make the email spam.
I currently have a iPad 2 I use comcast and gmail for my email. My question is, is there avway to filter junk mail on the iPad mail program, or thru the comcast or google settings.

When I delete messages I get a message saying that the messages could not be moved to the folder....even though they seem to leave the inbox.
View 3 RepliesLately I have been getting large volumes of junk mail, not sure why, but as I type / speak there are over 250 in the inbox across three email accounts. how do I delete them quickly as in bulk delete. I have used the Edit button but have to mark each one individualy which is slow. There are probably only a handfull of real or important emails the rest are just junk, nearly all from 2 or 3 different sources.
In order to prevent this how do I set up mail filtering or is there anything else I could do.
Incoming e-mail from on sender goes directly to my junk mail box, how can I stop this.I do not have any rules set. Could this be a "false positive", if so how can I correct it?

View 2 RepliesI brought a 64Gb IP2 in the US and they set it up for my email account in the store. It's wi-fi only, not 3G (hope that is the right term to use) as I have Iphone4 and didn't see the point of carrying the IP2 around for i'net.Anyway, it worked fine in my house in the UK off my home router (I think it asked me for the password etc for the router when I 1st used it), made a noise when new mail arrived (at least that's what I think it was) - all was well.I work in Oman, so have brought it with me and we have wi-fi in the office and my Ipad picks up internet, yahoo, google, the UK newspapers etc etc and my yahoo mail (but only via the yahoo.com site) + all other i'net sites without problem. However, I tried to send something via pages to my work email account, just experimenting with the whole thing really, but nothing happens. No error message and non delivery.
So, I check my email in settings and also try to reset my mail account in mail, contacts, calendars & after trying to verify it, it comes back with an error message "apple.impa.mail.yahoo.com" is not responding. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the "incoming Mail Server" field. The primary server of the account is Yahoo!SMTP server and it's switched to on. The outgoing mail server is Yahoo!SMTP Server. This is now the limit of my Ipad logic trail . Can anybody help me set up my yahoo account so it works and also so I can send pages please?
I can send mail but I can't receive mail. Every time I refresh the mail it comes up with an error message which reads: 'Cannot Get Mail. Server Error. Contact Your Server Administrator'.

I have two email accounts that I need to add to my Ipad. The first is a Gmail account which I had up and running in no time at all, quite easy to do actually. Unfortunately the same can't be said about my Lycos email account.I've tried several times to add my Lycos email account to my Ipad but with no success.I used the exact same method(Settings-Mail-Add Account)that I did when I added my Gmail account but like I said,no success.
I keep getting the same error message when I try to complete the process: "Cannot Get Mail-The username or password for pop.mail.lycos.com is incorrect."
This does not make any sense because I am entering the correct username and password. So having said all of that I was wondering if any other Lycos mail users out there have had the same problem in the past and how you fixed this problem? Or if anyone else knows how to rectify this issue? My Ipad is the 32g Wifi model.
As far as i can tell, the sync between my Mac's Mail and my ipad's Mail via iTunes doesn't do anything once the accounts are set up after the initial config. No messages get copied, no mailboxes, nothing. Looking at the forums here and elsewhere, I am aware that it doesn't mirror the mailoxes (which i wish it could!), but it would be nice if it at least synced sent messages so i don't have to search both devices.
