i can't find my computer in airplay, my computer is MacBook Pro version 10.9.3 and my iPad an iPad mini version 7.1.1 , i can find my apple tv but not my computer. it's the same network, i have check it many times,
i have an ipad first generation, i had it hosted (synced) on my toshiba laptop when i purchased the ipad tosiba laptop crashed no more HD..i want all my music on my itunes account i am not able to sync the ipad to my new macbook ( can autorize it as a ssecondary computer but cannot sync to it ) i cannot access any of my old music that was on that account is there anything i can do or is it lost forever?
Until two weeks ago I had no problem with syncing. Last night when I plugged the usb cable in I got a tray alert saying <Found new hardware, click here to install>. I unplugged the usb, shut the computer down completely then rebooted it. I did the same sequence with the Ipad. I replugged the usb in and got the same alert so I clicked the bubble to see what would happen. After a few moments a popup headed Apple Ipad screened offering camera-related options.
What must I do to recover the syncing? If I have to uninstall the camera how do I do that? What else do I have to do?
I to transfer my music (which was loaded from CDs) from my old computer to my new one. I also want to keep my playlists that I spent time setting up. But when I plug my ipod touch into my new computer it simply asks me if I want to wipe all the music on it and replace it with what is in iTunes on the new computer ie. nothing
Airplay is not working right for me or there is a setting I'm missing. When I start a movie on my iPad or iPhone and I click the airplay icon it lets me choose between the device itself and the apple tv, however it only is for sound, no video.... Why? This is the same on the iPad and iPhone. When I click on a picture I don't even get a airplay option at all. This is the same on both devices. I don't see any setting for this either.
I am currently running iOS 4.2 for the iPad. Is there no AirPlay yet in the video options? Does anyone have that or is it not in this beta? Also there is the print option in the photo app but not in the iWork apps.
I'm getting an issue with MyWi 4 where once I've shared my iPad internet via Wifi (perhaps USB too but I can't be sure on that), I lose the ability to utilise Airplay from the iPad until I reboot it. Yeap, I'm connected to my WiFi network with Apple TV 2 on it, but something that MyWi has set with the connection or not cleaned up, is not letting Airplay be detected until I reboot the iPad. Currently my jailbreak is tethered so this is a real pain.
So anyway, is anyone able to:
- Tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'm semi-technical so I can handle the geek version :-)
- Tell me the command I need to run in terminal to reset my network connection similar to what takes place in a reboot? I basically need to avoid rebooting here.
I have a number of video's on my iPad 2. I have been able to watch them, using Apple TV and iPad. I am using a Netgear extender with no problems. iPad and other computers in the home receive Internet through the extender with no problems.
When using the iPad and I switch over to Airplay, I can see the iPad screen but as soon I start to play the video, I get a turning circle and then an error and cannot watch the video on the TV.
Im new to AirPlay and want to watch HBOGo from my iPad to my appletv, however it's not working. I've done the checks with turning it on, updating software, etc and still no go. Once I hit the airplay button, nothing happens. Do I need to have a certain screen up on appletv or should it the iPad image pop up automatically after I hit AirPlay? I'm a little frustrated and can't find an answer. I am trying through dish network, so is it just the network blocking this app feature? I just bought the appletv at Christmas, so assume its the 2nd generation.
