View 7 RepliesIs there a set of cables I can get that allows me to connect both my iPhone and iPad to a TV in order to play back videos I've made or purchased through iTunes?
The "Universal Dock" looks okay but of course leaves Mr. iPad out in the cold.

Powermac Dual G5 2.3Ghz
Mac OS X (10.5.6)
Specifically: two 30pin-USB cables connected by a female-female USB coupler. Would that work??

View 11 RepliesDumb question time - I was keeping my iPhone 4 and iPad USB cables separate because I thought there was a difference between them...now I can't tell which is which.
Does it matter? If so, how do I tell which one is which?
I got mine mixed up (not the transformers).
I have a composite cable that I've previously used w/ success to play video from my iPod to my tv. I tried to do the same w/ my iPad and get sound only, no video through the tv. I tried playing a movie I bought from iTunes, a movie in iTunes I got as a digital copy, and a youtube video.
View 1 RepliesMy wife got me a new iPad for my birthday and I love it!I have been using the official Apple component cables for a while now, specifically with my iPhone 3G and now iPhone 4. I've used them to watch movies and videos flawlessly, but am a bit surprised Im having issues with my iPad.Basically I get no video or the video doesn't play when looking at previews of movies or shows through iTunes, however I get full audio. At tines the video looks like it's about to play but then just sits there on both the iPad and my tv in a still frame while the audio plays just fine.
View 6 RepliesI'm trying to get my iPad to output slideshow/videos/Youtube/anything to my older TV using Apple component cables. The TV image appears scrambled/vertically mirrored for a millisecond or so and then nothing. Audio is perfect. Have tried various cable connection & source input selections on the tv but without luck. When connected to the 30 pin dock connector (to tv) videos don't display on the iPad although the progress bar does advance. Maybe this is the way it's supposed to work? It differs to photo slideshows which CAN be viewed on the connected iPad. Don't want to pay for expensive composite cables unless there's a good chance that they'll work. Is there something I'm missing? Have searched forums but no answers have worked as yet.

View 3 RepliesI was told when I bought my iPad, that it uses a different power supply (10w I believe) and that it is not recommended to use a iPhone charger for the iPad and vice versa. Is this true? What about the sync cables, can I charge the iPad via PC with my iPhone sync cable or vice versa?
View 5 RepliesAlot of people are mentioning that there's difference with the speed while syncronising/backup. I am just wondering is there any difference between the cables? and how can I distinguish it? Coz I have most of the i- products and I have just mixed up all the cables

I am a complete neophyte. I have a new Ipad and was thinking about buying the AV Cables to hook into my TV. I have a seperate icon on my Ipad for Netflix. With the AV Cables, will I be able to play movies from my Netflix account on the TV? Can you use Safari on the TV?

Are the interchangeable? If not how can I tell them apart?

Sync cables are the same for ipad and iphone?
For the last few months I have been using two iPod USB cables to sync and recharge my iPad. A week ago I used the iPad cable (the one that came with the iPad) for the first time. I now find that neither of the two iPod cables I had been using works.
I have tried both iPod cables with two different Macbooks and two external chargers and cannot get the iPad to mount or recharge with either. Using the iPad cable works every time with the iPad and both iPod cables work flawlessly when connected to an iPod.
I have read elsewhere in this forum that these cables are supposed to be interchangeable, which is what I would have assumed too.

I have just purchased a composite cable for the ipad2. It is for a relative who has an older tv and i think that they will only have the 3 ports. What I am wondering though is should it work if you have a tv with component outputs instead of composite. I have tried it on my tv with component outputs but I am only getting audio. Also as I am in the uk, tv output should be set to PAL???
View 7 RepliesI would like to know if there is a way to make a presentation with keynote in an ipad 2 in a projector without using a cale, maybe using my iphone 4 hotspot as a wirelless network to all devices that might be necessary.
