I can't figure out how to fix it! I am set for New York time zone, the correct day, date and time, the map knows where I am, but all my appointments show up 3 hours ahead of schedule (something scheduled for 9:00 will appear on the calendar at 6:00).
View 5 RepliesWell, maybe a dumb question from my kid, but I don't have the right explanation. I know 3G has shorter battery life, but how about 16GB 3G vs. 64GB 3G?

I noticed in the last few days that the date/time is wrong. My setting is to set automatically. I set the clock manually, but then switched to automatic again to see if that would fix it. The time then went back to the same wrong date/time it had before. The automatic time is about 16 hours 32 minutes behind!
View 6 RepliesThe date and time are 12 hours off on all my Idevices (Ipads and I pod touches), Yet the time is correct on my Iphone and all my computers and my router. The date/time are set to generate automatically. When I turn this feature 'off' the time immediate changes 12 hours back to the correct time. However, synchronized events on my calendars (say, with gmail calendar) remain 12 hours off. I had thought this may have something to do with my wi-fi and/or router, but the 'automatic' date/time change regardless of whether wi-fi is even on or off on the devices. Also, I can't figure out why the Iphone would have the right time when the other devices all have the time off by 12 hours.
View 2 RepliesOn Mac OS X you can choose at how much minutes or hours before you can have an alert shown. On the iPad it appears you can only choose a maximum of 2 hours before jumpng to one day. Is it possible to have it like Mac OS, so I can choose my own hour?
View 6 RepliesMy first problem with my iPad. It isn't staying on the correct time. I will be on it for a few hours and it will suddenly be several hours behind. Also had the wrong time when I turned it on this morning.

My iCal on my Mac is set up fine, as is the calendar on my iPhone. I use google calendar to keep all my Apple devices in sync, thou for some reason the iPad calendar displays everything as starting two hours later. If this helps, my gmail and calendar are set up under mail, contacts and calendar with exchange and mail and calendar is on to sync. This is annoying me. I've turned off calendars and then back on, though the situation remains.I even just deleted this exchange account from the iPads settings and re-added it but the two hour discrepancy remains....Only on the iPad, interesting considering I have the exact same set up on the iPhone and no problems there.
View 3 RepliesWhat can I do to increase battery usage time to greater than 6 hours? I have a New iPad purchased 03/23/2012 64K-WiFi. I recharge it and get another 6 hours usage. I am using it primarily for reading books. Are there any applications I can turn off to get back to 10 hours?

I am in the implementation department of my Company and needs to travel to client side more than often. Recently I travelled to Nigeria for deploying our product. However the Calendar still showed default time Zone i.e. "GMT +5:30 CHennai, Kolkatta, NewDelhi" even though being in a different time Zone
View 2 RepliesI keep getting a 2 hour time shift in all events synchronizing iPad calendar with google calendar. I have setup the correct time zone and this issue does not appear in the iPhone. I have tried both manual and auto time zone setup. I bet the calendar application code is not honoring the summer time zone shift when synchronizing via active sync protocol.
View 2 RepliesEvery time I connect my iPad to my PC it says syncing on my iPad and Backing Up iPad in iTunes - but it takes hours (sometimes 6-7 hours)
This can't be right - am I doing something wrong?

My Ipad takes hours to sync. The problem seems to be the backup copy. I read lots of post about this issue but no one of them solved my problem. I´m using the correct USB cable, I have no Strange Apps that gets troubles. What can I do? It really scares me to sync my IPAD

I've read the iPad book and a few Apple tech notes on this but am still not 100% clear on the differences. It seems we can sync, backup and transfer our iPad data to our computers.Frankly, I don't understand why there isn't just one process that "backs up" your iPad to your computer so there is a mirror copy of data in case you need to restore your iPad, existing or new one if lost. Can some one summarize the difference between the 3 and a strategy to have ALL your iPad info on your computer? I use MobileMe BTW so my contacts and calendar are always synced using Push.
View 1 RepliesI've been researching this problem ALL of Saturday, without any joy.
On Thursday, I purchased a brand-new iPad. After one day of adding apps, it suddenly stopped backing up. It had been slow, but that was to be expected with new data being added. I tracked down an issue with RSS feeds/Newspaper apps, which seemed to add HOURS to the backup. Delete these (NYT, BBC News, HuffPo) if possible.
The research said that the problems were many:
Use of older USB cable when syncing
SOLUTION: Use the one which came with the iPad
Two problematic .dlls stored (or not) in System 32 folder (XP Pro)
SOLUTION: Locate and replace these .dlls
Bad USB ports
SOLUTION: Switch cable around
Anti-Virus prog conflict
SOLUTION: Disable AV for a moment whilst backing up
(I even downloaded and installed "Backoff", a programme which allows you to choose whether you backup or not. Obviously, I also ticked the X on iTunes to stop it from syncing, but this defeats the problem -- eventually, I will have to backup my data)
I have tried <<all>> of these solutions without being able to backup my brand-new iPad. So what did I do: I got a replacement at the Apple Store where I had bought it just two days ago.
I came home, synced and backed up without problem, BUT when I went to add my <<first>> app the backup stalled all over again.
To test to see if it was my computer or not, I un/re-installed iTunes and Quicktime from scratch. Then I synced my Touch WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM in backing up.
I do not know what is happening. I am not a n00b. I know my way around a computer. I am at a complete loss to know how this is happening with an Apple product, which right now, is as worthless as a Windoze computer.
And if you're reading this, Apple, shame on you.
Your customers are having problems and your form replies and lack of iTunes support are a scandal.

this must be a BUG! it's now been taking more than 10 hours to sync Ipad...it takes so long in backing up iPad.
i've already spoken w/ Technical support and has cleared the iPad before and resync.
it's still taking a long time... has anyone else experience this?
this definately must be a bug as it just can't take that long for a Fast computer that I have bougth recently from Dell (intel quad processor) to run backup for 64GB ipad for this long a time.
i hope apple can let me know what's happening and they need to fix their OS.

How do I get my entries that I put directly in to my iPad to sync back to my google calendar. My sync from my google calendar works fine when syncing to my iPad but not the other way...
View 3 RepliesI'm thinking of getting an iPad and one feature I want is to be able to wirelessly sync the included iPad calendar (iCal?) with my Google calendar. I know this can be done through iTunes but I would like to have the ability to do it without having to have my laptop at my side all the time.
