Jun 30, 2010

I have a wifi 16gb ipad. However I do not have the 3g version.

Is there any 3g dongles or another way for it to connect to 3g without having to sell it and buy a 3g version.

16gb Pad - Email - Connect To Facebook

Sep 7, 2010

We have a main PC at home, but because my husband downloads such a lot, it is sluggish and even my daughter's old Dell laptop runs faster! It frustrates me because I am such a "tidy" person on the PC and even my mobile. I delete e mails, messages, photo's are edited and uploaded then deleted mainly. This Pad would be used solely by ME (grin). I am sometimes bed bound because I have a severe back problem and have been using my husband's I Touch to e mail and connect to facebook and even watch I Player. However, I find it very frustrating to browse through web pages, as I'm all over the place.

16gb Wifi - 32gb Wifi

Jun 23, 2010

I sold my 16gb for $500.00 last Saturday and this 7-10 day wait period for my 32gb wifi is killing me. I am starting to miss it and have withdrawal symptoms. I am like a junky looking for a hit. Every time I go looking for it around the house to do a quick watching/surfing/listening I remember that it is gone. Having to use my MAC is getting old and can't wait to get the new ipad hopefully by next week. Every time I get an e-mail ping I hope that it is an Apple e-mail but, no luck yet. I got an e-mail alert yesterday that I had moved up on the waiting list and that they are trying to get me one.

Poor Wifi Connection With 16GB

Jun 19, 2010

So at the beginning of the month on payday, I went to an apple store and spent allot of money on something I really didn't have the money for, this device is the best gadget I ever had. I'm talking about the iPad. There is however one issue that is getting tiresome, that would be video streaming issues on apple related things such as iTunes and demo videos on apple.com. YouTube works great, maybe a few hiccups in watching a video that's about it.

I haven't been experiencing the poor wifi connection issues like many others here, it could have something to do with this being a newer unit that had all of the bugs worked out of the wifi node, which in my opinion is hardware related. This thing is super fast, even faster in my opinion than the MacBook pro I used to own. Do any of you think the wifi issue is hardware or software related? My computer geek guess is that it is hardware, possibly faulty wifi nodes that aren't seated properly on the dock connector strip that runs through the iPad.

Anyway, has apple fully acknowledged this problem? If so, when do you think they will start offering repairs for the issue.

Ipad 16gb Wifi - Add Gps Module ?

Mar 5, 2011

As mentioned, I have a wifi only model iPad but have seen suppliers of iPad spares offering replacement gps modules. This I believe is standard fit in the 3G model iPad.

Q. Can the gps module be fitted in wifi only model or does it need the 3G to work (A.GPS)? I guess one question I'm sure to get asked is why would I want to do it... well, I intend to buy TomTom for iPad so I will either need a Bluetooth gps or preferably fit an internal one. Will it work or is there another option? I don't really want to fit a 3G module as well as I don't want to have to put a sim on contract or payg.

16gb 4G LTE Or 32gb Wifi IPad?

Mar 17, 2012

I picked up the Verizon iPad today in 16gb flavor and even though my last 2 iPads have been 16gb I feel like maybe I should have gone with 32gb... I also got the Verizon model cause I figured I'd can have the option to use/play around with 4G.I mainly use my iPad at the gym to watch movies on the elliptical so it's not like I NEED to have a ton of movies on. I went with the 4G cause I'm curious how well it works. Still haven't tested it out yet and I don't know when I'd actually want to drop 20-50 bones a month just to surf and stream movies on my iPad while away from home... most likely I'd just do it at the gym... which seems like a silly waste of time. Any good real world usage for my LTE model?

Comparison Between 16GB And 32GB WiFi Models

May 11, 2010

I REALLY want to order a WiFi iPad but I'm torn on which one to get. On one hand I don't want to get the 16GB model and end up wishing I had gotten the 32GB for the extra storage capacity, but I also don't want to pay $100+ more if I don't really need the extra memory. I just want to use it to surf the web and store some photos (all of which add up to 1.25GB on my iMac), a few movies, and maybe some songs. Do you think 16GB's is enough or should I spring for the 32GB?

Basic 16GB-WiFi -next Very Sound Version

May 4, 2010

At first, I didn't think the iPad would be right for me. Now, I'm stopping by my local Apple Store whenever I'm nearby just test the iPad -- again and again. As reluctant as I am to admit (really, I didn't want to like it), each time I'm more and more impressed -- downright smitten. I want one! It seems to be nearly the perfect device for most of needs. My own better judgement and friends advise that I should wait for the next version for all the usual and very sound reasons. That prudent course is looking less likely with each day. When one starts looking for bags to carry around the damn thing, I guess your mind is already made up. As soon as I save the pocket change or muster the courage for a small debt, I'm likely to take the plunge for the basic 16GB-WiFi. Then with next year's or the following revision, I'll go all out for the top of the line with all the potential future bells and whistles.

IPad Mini :: Retina 16GB Not Connecting To WiFi After IOS 8.0.2 Update

Oct 6, 2014

I recently updated my iPad to iOS 8.0.2 today and noticed its been having major issues connecting to WiFi, it connects fine and then while browsing it will disconnect and I am unable to connect unless I reboot or reset network settings, this works for 5mins and then the iPad loses its connection to WiFi. Is this a known issue with iOS 8.0.2. Its been fine ever since I've had it on iOS 7. I have also tried to reset all settings. Restored via iTunes no luck.

Won't Connect To Wifi / Can't Find Settings To Connect With Wifi

Oct 8, 2010

Here's my issue, I just bought an ipad, and I got the wifi only model because I don't really need a 3G ipad and an iphone 4. I work in a public high school that does have wifi, but no one will tell me how to get on it. They act like it some huge secret, but with all the blocks and restriction on our networks its not like I can access things that are inappropriate if I was using the wifi. Anyway, my question is this... is there anything I can buy that can turn the current wired connection into a wifi hotspot for my classroom. Is there a product that can plug into an ethernet outlet and turn the internet connection that is already there into wireless. I brought my airport express from home with me once, but it did not work.

Any advice would be nice. I love my ipad, and will love it even if I cannot get online at school, but I am not going to give up.
