Just got my iPad 3G and personally think the icons are too small. Would rather have maybe three to a line, than four. Is there any way to resize the icons? I know there's an app that will do it called "Shrink" for the iPhone, but anything for the iPad?
Is anyone else having trouble putting more than 12 app icons on their home screen. I can fill up subsequent screens with 20 apps (4 rows of 5), but when I go to add more than 12 on the home (first) page it will not let me drag an app icon onto the first page. This is quite bizarre or am I simply missing something?
It keeps happening where some icons become non responsive on one of my home screens. Not the main one usually the third one. The icons will not do anything when touched the only remedy i find is to restart the ipad2. any other way to get them to work?
I am having trouble with my iPad. Need help. My screen seems to be doing an "auto-zoom / auto-focus" and I can't seem to get the screen stay "un zoomed". I can't see the entire virtual keyboard as well because of this "phenomenon" Going into a meeting shortly and have a presentation using iPad...
I have an iPad 1st generation running OS 4.3.2 (Jailbroken). It is running perfectly, except that I have a bunch of blank icons on my home screen (see the attached images). I can delete them, but every time I install a new app from the apple store, they come back.
Looking for some help in getting my Ipad icons back to normal size..For some reason the home screen on my ipad has really large Icons. There is possibly 1.5 icons on the screen and I am unable to get the icons back to normal size..Is there a way to easily make them smaller.I have tried to shrink the screen size without any success
I was playing angry birds then I quit and went to the main part of the home screen. But when I got there all of the preinstalled apps were in the top left. Intrestingly, they all worked fine, but I could position them anywhere (out of the usual restricted grid). The original icons in their original places were there, but I couldn't click on them. Although it is pretty awesome, the main home screen is pretty messy and I would like to know if there is any fix to it, since it isn't going by switching on and off etc.
For those who are interested, Appleinsider is reporting that the iPad SDK contains some additional hints of future widget, URL, and dictionary features on the iPad: http://www.appleinsider.com/articles..._features.html Quote:"Evidence for potential widgets One example is the iPhone's Contact app, which is internally called MobileAddressBook. In the new iPad SDK, it has morphed into an app referred to a LittleBrownBook. SpringBoard, which is the internal name of the app that runs the Home screen icons, uses the app tag "stand-alone-contacts" for this new app. This suggests that there will also be a non-standalone version of Contacts, or in other words a desk accessory style widget to present contact information outside of the standalone Contacts app. Mac OS X similarly provides a contact browser that can be used in other apps in addition to the stand alone Address Book app.
My home screen is now only half the width of my screen and only half of the icons are showing. I can't get to mail, safari, and several others. I try to scroll the screen to get the rest and it won't scroll. I've checked out the settings but I didn't see anything that would control a half screen. I can't scroll vertically or horizontally.
Using iTunes 12.0 for mac, is there no way to connect the iPad and rearrange the home screen icons? Did they remove this ability? It's really annoying to move apps one at a time on the iPad and with no ability to just add a page between pages on the iPad.
I have accidentally selected an option while changing the settings on my iPad. Since then, my iPad is showing a black square with white icons describing the options gestures, favourites, device and home. How can I get rid of it?
While using my iPad a few minutes ago I experienced an odd error in which there were duplicate home screen icons in the top left corner of the homescreen. I was able to move the icons freely onto any area of the screen. My iPad is not jailbroken. I too screenshots of the error. I am using a first gen iPad 3G if it makes any difference.
I have a iPad 3 ios 6.1 jail broken...and as I have ios 6, I have Siri. Now I want to theme Siri as its stock interface is very boring. I tried installing KITT THEME,but after installing it using winter board and respringing. All my app icons in the home screen turned white. Then I uninstalled the theme and rebooted. Now everything is ok. But still I can't get to theme Siri. I WANT TO APPLY A THEME TO SIRI.
Some of the photos in my photo app on my ipad do not fill the screen as i would like...same thing when i run through them via the slideshow option on my homepage before unlocking...but they do when opened under settings/wallpaper/saved photos. How can i change this so all photos do fill the screen?
It seems to only move apps when I hold it in landscape view. I've Just received the iPad back, after sending it off to apple to be fixed. It would open apps by itself, freeze and be generally unresponsive.
How do I find all the apps on iPad1 device when some icons are not in folders or on the home pages? I have downloaded about 500 apps from iStore. Some paid some free. On the iStore it says I have approx380 apps purchased. In the iPad Settings it says about 480.I'm sure there are more and when I search I can find some that don't appear anywhere on the desktop or in my folders? In the past faults have occurred where lots of the icons just dissappeared then reappeared 2 weeks later!? Is there a way to check for certain all the apps on the iPad and make sure they all appear on the desktop for use when needed? Also synching with an XP laptop seems to fail each time. I want to backup. All the apps to the pc in case the iPad fails or I buy a new one. How can I make sure this process works.
Synched my Ipad 2 this morning to add some pictures and noticed while doing the synch my screen was too large. After the synch I noticed it was like the screen had enlarged and some icons and the dock were off the screen. Like I had changed the resolution. Scrolling through things, everything was like the physical Ipad2 screen was too small to show what you normally see.. Turned it off, back on and it immediately showed the correct screen view and then enlarged or expanded. I hope I made my self clear. What did I do?
