So my ipad is saying that my icloud storage is almost full and it is preventing me from doing a lot of things.
I go to settings > icloud > storage and backup > manage storage
It says my ipad is using 63.2MB and Mail is using 113.8MB - this obviously does not add up to 5GB, yet my storage is saying I have used 4.8GB of 5GB on icloud.
I have tried deleting the back ups and even turning off back up to icloud. Then I turned the icloud back up on again and did a fresh back up and the result was still 4.8GB of usage wit the above statistics for ipad and Mail.
I am so confused. I am obviously not using 5GB of storage and don't want to purchase anymore
I am looking forward to get some good apps for Cloud storage in my iPad so that I won’t loose my data somehow I don’t like the iCloud much. So can you tell me which is the best Cloud storage to use in iPad? Can you list me down the Cloud storage apps and their cost?

I have 32gig iPad with approx 16 gig of programs, pictures, audio files. I recently tried to upgrade a couple of programs and I received a out storage space memory message.I connected to iTunes and confirmed I only had 16 gig of programs etc But I now have a 16 gig OTHER file.I have looked for days online for a explanation why and have found nothing that talks directly to this problem. I believe it is some kind of cache file and from what I have read deleting the program that created it will delete the Other file but how do you know what program created it? I have tried re-syncing, re-booting, just about every suggestion for fixing an iPad or iPhone problem there is with no luck. Except a restore. Is there a way to delete this Other file without doing a restore? What caused this file to grow to the size of all of my available storage space? How do I determine what program did this so I can take steps to prevent it from happening again? What is the meaning of life?............Oh sorry I got carried away.
I am getting a "storage nearly full" message on Ipad. i have only 1 added app, so i am guessing what is taking up the room are photos and emails. I don't want to get rid of the emails, and I am happier getting emails online at aol, so can i get rid of the aol app?
This iPad cannot be backed up because there is not enough iCloud storage available. You can manage your storage in Settings.
When I select settings, nothing happens. When I select close, nothing happens. So I held down the power button and got the screen that asks me to slide to power off but it does not recognize when I slide.
Not sure what else I can do...but need to get into settings to lower the memory usage.
I have an iPad 2 with the least amount of storage. I don't remember how much. I never expected to get videos on it, but I'm loving having videos for my kids and I would like my favorite miniseries to be on there (I already bought it byut it won't fit) Pride & Prejudice A&E version. Anyway, there's so little room I can't even buy a new app. I thought I remembered people saying there were apps or a way that you could stream your movies from The Cloud. Can I? Can I upgrade to more storage by just paying the difference? What are my options?
A couple of days ago, I upgraded to an iPad Air. I have a total of 15GB of iCloud storage. As you can see from the photos, the storage is split between my new iPad and the older one. How do I delete the old one and consolidate the storage into the iPad Air?
I have a 32GB ipad. I recently downloaded 3 films from the itunes store through my ipad. The last film will not download because apparently there is not enough storage space. So, the message comes up to go to settings and manage storage, I click this button. What it actually takes me to is my icloud storage, which having downloaded videos is up to 4.7 of my 5GB, which is why the last film will not download.
Now, I don't need these films saved to icloud, as once they are downloaded I will watch them off wifi (as my ipad isn't 3G enabled) (I plan to watch them on long train journeys etc.) So basically I just want the films on my ipad and not saved to icloud. And I know I have plenty more space of my 32GBs left!
When I connect my new iPad air 2 via lightning cable to my Mac I get the message to unlock my iPad air 2 in order to connect, download photos, etc.
But my iPad air 2 is unlocked and displaying the home screen. I have tried switching USB ports, restarting the iPad air 2 and resetting by holding the power & home button down, but neither of these fixes the issue.Â
My iPad is locked and the access codes I try don't work. I cannot restore from iCloud because it gives an error that I need to go to the settings on my iPad and turn off FindMyiPad. I can't since my passcode doesn't work!
So i've had my new ipad since it came out and have turned on the function to back up my pics and videos to icloud. So, it's full now and I know I can dump them directly on my macbook but I'm wondering if there is a way to use my 2tb time capsule in lieue of icloud to back up files since, obviously, 5gb doesn't last as long as I thought it would.
My iPad locked-up while playing Angry Birds, and I had to press the home button and the power button together in order to restart it. After doing that, the iPad will not boot past the screen with the Apple logo.I googled around and found out that by pressing the home button while connecting it to my Mac with the USB-cable, I could put it into recovery mode. And it worked. I got the dialog box in iTunes telling me that it found an iPad volume that needed to be restored. iTunes downloaded the iPad software and prepared to restore when I got error message with code 14.
In settings>iCloud>storage & backup>manage storage>backups my name is very wrong. I have three devices (iPod 4g, iPad 1, New iPad) and my name should be Jen's iPod, iPad etc... but it is Jens iPad etc... for each device. I don't share my acount with anyone and it was fine until I got the new iPad and synced it to the cloud. How do I change this back to what it should be?
After buying the new iPad I'd like to take advantage of the iCloud features with my iPhone. I wondered if it's possible for Apple or app developers to look at my data in iCloud? or do I literally have 5gb encrypted space assigned to my account at Apples data centers?
