View 3 RepliesI have iPad mini with IOS 8.1.1. Since I installed this IOS, I am not able to log on to imessage and facetime in spite of fact that the ID and password are correct. It says internet connection error but other internet functions such as skype and email are working fine.

Well, the problem is my friend can face time me, but I can't. He's got an iPod touch and I've got an iPad 3 and an iPod Touch. He can Face Time me, I can't. It won't let me FaceTime him on my iPod or my iPad. It always says '[user] is not available for FaceTime', which is practically rubbish, because he is. He can phone me, we can chat but I can't phone him back later. We have both got FaceTime and wifi enabled. We both know each other's emails. It just simply won't work.
The strange thing is I can FaceTime his dads iPhone and his sisters iPod touch through different emails, it's just it won't let me FaceTime him.

I got my Mom an iPad-16GB-Wifi for Mother's Day.We were at a hotel - I activated it with iTunes on her netbook and it connected fine to the hotel WiFi.She returned home and has been unable to get it to work on the WiFi at home.She has a Linksys WRT54GS router set up to use WEP-128 and a 26-character hex key. We have connected MacBooks, iPhones, and all sorts of Windows hardware to it with no problem using the 26-hex character key as the password The iPad connected to the network (e.g. the password was correct) but it would not get a valid DHCP address; the netbook was working fine.We then switched the linksys to WPA2 - and the same thing happens. The netbook connects but the iPad will not get an address. Again, note that if the key is wrong, the iPad will tell you that it's wrong.

I was given an iPad as a present in the UK and now I'm home in Brussels I can't get it to connect to my home wifi, despite it working perfectly well and the wifi being connecting to the laptop and other devices all okay. I know the password I enter is correct but it still won't let me 'join' anything.

I Have just bought a new Ipad 3 on wi-fi and I have just tried to log onto facetime and imessage and it says "you were signed out of imessage because your AppleID or password changed" I have put in the correct password and AppleID and it wont let me in. I know the ID and password are correct because I used them to buy something in itunes and I just used it to login here!!! I did have to change the password at first because I couldn't remember it but it is the new password that works here and in itunes... Can anybody help please!!!! What am I doing wrong????

Using ipad2 with Safari. On my home computer, I use roboform, where it runs on my computer without sending anything to the cloud. That is, not roboform everywhere. I am looking for an app that will list my sites and when I click it have safari go to the site and fill in the Id and password. Or if I can just have safari go to the site, I want to employ a password manager right there where I just call it, enter a master password, and have it fill in the correct ID and password.

I'm finding it hard to get clear in my mind what is possible with this device, I'd be grateful for some help. I would want to receive / send emails using two accounts, johndoe@mac.com and janedoe@mac.com (aka me.com). There is only one mobileme subscription, johndoe, and janedoe is (if I've got this right) a sort of synonym. Both use the same password (not a problem). On my iMac, you can log in as either on the web and just see "your own" stuff. They can be shown as separate accounts in Mail and supply "their own" sending address when sending. So far so good. Now we (for it is I and my spouse of whom I speak) want to know if this will all work on iPad. I have found this http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=12187387� but I don't get the references to Hotmail etc. I also saw a phrase about Mobileme not being useable on iPad? Don't know what that's about.
View 20 RepliesSince yesterday, I get the message 'User Name or PW for @gmail.com' is incorrect on the iPad only. Laptop and desktop work perfectly. Same for my other email accounts, including Yahoo.I've logged in and out of gmail.com on both the iPad and laptop. Also, I went to the email pref on the iPad, turned it off, and back on, all to no avail.One thing I've changed is upgrade to Snow Leopard yesterday pm. But again, all of my other accounts work as usual, and I can have access to gmail.com through the web site.

View 1 RepliesI am trying to set up an account on my iPad, but just can't seem to get it to work. I already have other accounts set up and they work fine.
I enter all the correct information for using IMAP, etc. Then it tells me it cannot get mail since the user name or password are incorrect. They ARE correct. I have this account set up on my MacBook with no issues using all the same information.
So, using all the same set up and credentials I set this account up on my iPod Touch with no issues last night and it worked just fine. Today it isn't working the same. It is keeps telling me Secure Connection Failed.
Any ideas out there to help me out.

I keep receiving same error over and over again no matter what I try.
Cannot Get Mail
The user name or password for "imap.gmail.com" is incorrect.
Yet the information is correct since I'm able to connect to my e-mail using the safari browser and logging in the old fashioned way.
I have tried the reboot function.
Deleting and trying to recreate the account.
Resetting the WiFi connection and its settings.
Signed in and out of my account on Safari tried everything I can possibly think of.
Now every time I try to recreate the account it gives me this error and really not sure what to do.

I just got my ipad 2 on Monday. The Apple store set me up with email. I tryed to add my husband to the email, but we forgot his password. We are on aol. Now when I try to get my email, I keep getting that either my user name or password is wrong. I keep trying to put my password in, but I still can't get on.

I had both exchange and the Gmail app getting mail and a few days ago turned off exchange mail since it just duplicated. Fine until this morning when I started getting this message.
I turned exchange email back on and my gmail shows up in that folder but not the Gmail. Any suggestions before I delete and redo the gmail one.
I brought ipad4 of Gumtree about 10 months ago. Since iOS update it won't let me set up my own iCloud and asks for previous owners password to their iCloud account. I tried to contact this user but he keeps ignoring my calls and texts. I have rest the Ipad to factory settings, but now it won't let me use it at all and keeps asking for password for the old user in iCloud.
