I don't know this is the right place to put this question but I am having trouble charging my iphone 3G using my iPad charger...actually phone is been charged but iphone indicator doesn't show any progress.. To get the precise charge update, i need to switch off iPhone and then need to restart, now it's indicator shows right percentage.
Does it mean that iPad charger is not 100% compatible with iPhone ????
I tried to mail a website (USAtoday) from my iPad (using Safari). For whatever reason the page froze, the mail wasn't send. Being a good boy I did this three times. Same result. But now my Mail on the iPad is telling me that there are three mails which couldn't be sent. But I cannot find these mails anywhere in order to delete them.Information:iMac 24" plus othersMac OS X (10.6.4)
Last time I saw someone asks why Safari on iPad doesn't show some 1920x1440 jpeg with real size & I solved that puzzle. You have to use a progressive-encoding jpeg. However, I find another different problem.Say, demo.jpg is a progressive-encoding jpeg with 2000x3000 & I upload it to my website. I then access it via url ...demo.jpg, Safari will show it with 2000x3000 size, perfect.
Now I make a most-simple html file named mypic.html. This html has only img tag with src=demo.jpg or src=demo.jpg width=2000 height=3000 inside body. Now I access it via url ...mypic.html. This time Safari show a very small icon of a question mark?
So I am using a jail broken iPad and the categories app to reduce the amount of pages of apps. I have 3 folders, one for cydia and the like, one for games, and one for all other apps. What's odd is that the Cydia folder has it's app icon, but the other two folders only have solid white icons. I have tried respringing, deleting and making new folders but it's the same thing over again.
I did some searching but can't find an answer. How come mail doesn't show all my gmail? I have it set up as a push exchange mail and to display as many as 100 but will only show a few. Anybody have this issue too? Is there a fix?
I just re-installed an app that I deleted last year. The app store shows that it's installed but it doesn't show up anywhere on my iPad. I have plenty of space, so I know that isn't the problem. I can't even delete it to attempt re-installing again. Any ideas about what happened and how I can fix this problem? I also reported the problem to the app developer in case it's a bug.
I prefer using my email at the mail.gamil.com site vs the email app, however I can't get it to show pictures. I touch the show pictures link and nothing happens. When I go tnto the app version the pictures show already without even having to click a setting. The email is from Gander Mountain and has several items with pictures.I prefer not using the app because I like some of the features in the web version better. I'm guessing it's a mobile version of gmail that I'm logged into. I went to it using Safari.
I rented a movie from iTunes on my iMac and I was able to successfully sync it to my iPhone. However, when I synched my iPad, the rental did not appear on any iTunes screen. Shouldn't I be able to move a movie I rented from iTunes on my desktop to my iPad?
I'm using a first generation iPad running ios 5.0.1. For some reason the Artist names won't show up under the Artist tab. However I can still play the songs. In order to get the artists to show.. I would have to rename them. For example, Linkin Park won't show up. But when I rename it to Linkin.. it will show.
I've been using my camera adapter kit to put photos from my camera, into my iPad but it doesn't show the videos I've recorded. I tried deleting all the pics from my camera and just leaving the one video I want to transfer but the iPad shows:"No photos to import I'm using a Sony digital camera that records video in MPEG-4 format. Any suggestions? (I transfered the video to my Dell laptop, no problem)
I have been able to sync my iTunes library to my iPad with no problem until this last weekend. I already had several videos and tv shows on my iPad, and then i added a few more, synced, and before testing it, went on vacation without my computer for twelve daysWhen I open up videos, there are no videos on my iPad. When i open up the iPod app, there is no music on my iPad. When i look in the About section in settings, it says I'm using 58 of 59 available GB, but that there are zero videos and zero songs. The memory in ny iPad is nearly full, as i thought it'd be after syncing a large amount of videos. Itunes on my computer showed that the iPad had videos on it, yet, no videos.
I have a new Macbook Pro 2.66 / 8 GB, 15" and an iPad and an iPhone. The problem is that every now and then - about once a day or so, iTunes doesn't see the iPad or iPhone when they are plugged in. The device starts charging but there is no indication that a sync is occuring.
Following the instructions here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1747 I reinstall iTunes and replace the AppleMobileDevice kexts and then things are fine, but after another day or so the problem occurs again. I have not been able to determine what might be causing that. Any idea?
Information: Macbook Pro 2.66 i7, 8 GB, 15" Mac OS X (10.6.3) iMovie 09, Aperture 3, Fuji Finepix HS10, iPad 64 Wifi, iPhone 3GS 32
Any Twitter users here? I'm just getting organized for Twitter and successfully changed my username on the desktop PC and then the profile pic but neither change appears in the iPad app. Strangely the new website URL updated automatically and a few tweets show that I did from the desktop. I go to Profile, Edit Profile, change the name but still no update. I tried changing the photo to the exact same one I used on the PC and that didn't take.
So why doesn't facebook show the newsfeed first... like on a pc or mac... it just goes to my home page....? then to see status' i have to look at individual people... there must be a simple answer to this?
I'm having several iPad Mail problems, but they don't happen all the time... I have finished emails that I want to save as a Draft, I hit Cancel, then Save, and the email appears for a moment in the Drafts folder, then disappears. I can't find it anywhere. And the messages were not in the Trash or Deleted Messages folders nor in any MobileMe folders just gone. Very frustrating, especially with one very long work-in-progress email.I have sent several emails from iPad Mail, hear the "swoosh" sound, and there is no trace of them in the Sent or Sent Messages folder and no BCC copy comes through, nor do they appear in MobileMe, but I have confirmed with intended recipients and they did receive the emails. This is not good.Even more frustrating is the fact these problems only occur sometimes, not all the time. And I can't find anything consistent or make the problems repeat by doing something specific.
When using calendar when I go to week version, the info I input doesn't show only the blue color to show I have info there and only on some days. If I touch the day then I can see the info. now this doesn't seem to always be the case. I can't figure out who to contact because maybe apple doesn't know about this yet and it's very confusing to get help. This seems to be a recent occurrence because at the beginning it worked fine. any ideas?
I synced my iPad2 over to another computer and made it my primary for iTunes. It seemed that the sync worked. Everything is working fine except the Music iPod App. It doesn't list the songs I have on my iPad but if I play the "All" playlist and set it to random, the songs will play even though they are not showing on the list. So the songs are still saved on my iPad.How can I get the Music App to "search" my iPad to list these songs?
This is a new one for me.I've imported some MP4 files into iTunes that I want to be seen in iTunes and iPad as TV Shows. For all the MP4 entries in question I have set in Get Info: Options | Media Kind: TV Show. Video | Show, Season Number, Episode Number, Info | Name, Artist, Album Artist, Album,The videos play fine and show up in a playlist I have (via the iPod app). However, in Videos, I only see a thumbnail and no Text of any kind. If I click the thumbnail, I see a list of episodes but I only see the "Info | Name" - never any of the other information I've entered... to get around that I gave each of the Episodes their own name (i.e. Show Name 01, Show Name 02) but otherwise, I'd never know which episode was which.I'm at a loss and the only two web pages I've seen on this involve iTunes 7; I'm on iTunes 9.1 and I did everything I can think of to have the meta data show up.Information :Core 2 Duo, Windows 7, iPad 64GB with iTunes 9.1.
So..... I setup Gmail as my default email and everything works fine except it doesn't show my contacts when I compose an email. To get around this I also added my yahoo account and in the mail settings under my yahoo account I unchecked all the boxes except my contacts. Now when I compose a Gmail email it will show my contacts. My question is why doesn't my contacts show up with just having my Gmail account setup? Do I have to leave it this way for it to work correctly?
