View 1 RepliesI got my Hard Candy iPad Hard Sleeve a couple of days back and thought of posting my impressions on it.I was looking for a sleeve which I can put inside a bag or a suitcase along with other travel items like laptop, camera, chargers, etc. When I saw this Hard sleeve on Hard Candy's website, I was totally convinced. The outside of the sleeve is made of EVA-Foam which is quite rigid. It is more like very thick cardboard. Added to this, the inside of the front side has a layer of hard foam which sticks out in the shape of small squares. This inside layer would basically rest against the iPad's glass top. The rest of the inner surface (top and bottom) is covered by neoprene. The best part of this sleeve is the four rubber bumpers which can be stuck to the bottom corners. These stick via a layer of velcro and can be repositioned if needed.

View 6 RepliesThought I would post my impression of this case to help out anyone who was considering it: the short of it is NOT recommended. It seemed really nice, with the adjustable corner pieces to make sure the iPad would fit, but it's really poorly done. First thing, the corner pieces cover the rotation lock and device lock buttons, as well as one of the speaker/mic grilles, so the case doesn't serve as a good always-on solution. Also, the pieces happen to coincide with some of the bubble spots, which results in an area that isn't stable to hold the pieces (the fabric is just suspended where the bubbles are, so it gives). Third, at least with mine, the glue used to attach the Velcro to the rubber isn't set, so any attempt to get a tight fit resulted in the pieces just sliding on the Velcro till it was loose again.
View 2 RepliesI really like the product. Does a great job protecting my iPad but a few moments ago, I noticed glue coming out all four corners of the black velcro pieces. It got all over the back of my iPad but I was able to get it off with my microfiber cloth. Anyone else have any bad experiences with this item? Any good recommendations on another product?
View 2 RepliesI was wondering what people thought of the cases made by Hard Candy...if you have one I'd love to hear your opinion of it. I'm thinking of pre-ordering the colorless sleek skin case similar to this: http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/reviews/entry/hard-candy-cases-sleek-skin-for-ipad/
View 2 RepliesI have the Apple Case on my iPad but I wanted something to put it in for travel. I wanted to know if the Hard Candy shells or any of the other similar cases or sleeve type cases would work well for putting the iPad in while it still has the Apple Case on it?We'll be using it on the plane to have our 3 year old watch movies and such and so the stand feature of the Apple Case is great, but I would like something with a hand strap and some added protection for carrying it. Any suggestions?
View 2 RepliesAnyone else have the Hard Candy Street skin case? Mine just does not fit quite right on the right side. (with button on the bottom)I know it's just a case, but for 40$ I would expect it to fit well.
View 5 RepliesHas anyone tried this case or even just seen one in use? I can't seem to find any reviews or anything but it looks like it is pretty serious. My main concern is the strength of the actual kickstands. I've been looking at the otter box case as well, but it isn't available yet. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.
View 3 RepliesI ordered a Street Skin recently from Hard Candy Cases. It's a rubber case, with a rubber flap that protects the screen, and can be taken off and attached to the back when using the iPad. It's like a sleeve, but it stays on, adds protection, and grip.
View 24 RepliesHas anybody got a Hard Candy Sleek Skin?I've been looking at the Belkin Grip Vue and the Switcheasy NUDE, but this one from Hard Candy intrigues me, because it seems to be the same kind of protector as the Belkin, but it has a screen "lid" as well, which seems to be a good idea for transport.
View 3 RepliesI just got the clear version of the Hard Candy Cases "Squish" case. I have to say, the photos I have seen don't do it justice. This case offers great protection with it's thick silicone edges. It also makes the iPad easier to hold. This case is different looking, but I like the look. I do think that the clear version looks nicer than the other colors. At least it only took three cases before I finally found one I liked. I will post some pics tonight if anyone is interested.
View 8 RepliesThe title might be aiming too high, as kids can be mighty destructive, but several of us have discussed in another thread how we're looking for the best solution for bezel/corner and screen protection (against drops) for families with young children - whom we DO want to allow access to the iPad. The two options I'm scoping presently are the Hard Candy Street Skin for $40 (which is hardcore rubber with a rubber flap that attaches to the screen or to the back of the unit when in use) and the Incase Convertible Book Jacket for $60 (which seems to be the most protective leather folio).
View 24 RepliesIve had my case for a couple weeks, and its very nice, except the part that holds the ipad in there. The little rubber holders are attached via glue to the velcro pads. Well, mine have been melting, thus glue on the back of my ipad.
View 4 RepliesDoes anyone have a Hard Candy Bubble Case and know if it will fit an iPad that is also equipped with a silicone sleeve similar to a Belkin Grip Vue at the same time?
I'm wondering if the Bubble Case has enough room to also fit the sleeve without having to take it off each time I'm going to use the bubble case.
Hard Candy Cases, a recent entrant into the Apple accessory market, announced today a new line of cases designed for the iPad. The distinctive line of cases will debut in March, timed to the iPad sales launch. Unique to Hard Candy Cases, all of our designs - even the hard shells - feature rubber bumpers that are crafted to add premium protection, look cool and also allow us to start the expensive tooling process now, before the final iPad is available to measure,? said Tim Hickman, CEO of Hard Candy Cases and former GM of Speck Products. ?If the production of iPads are even a millimeter bigger or smaller, we can simply adjust these bumpers to fit the product?s exact specifications. That's why we are going to be first to market with a quality product that is perfectly in tune with the iPad.?
